It all started in June 2017 after the warm wind hugged my skin as I stepped off the Jeepney in front of St Joseph School I’ve always been terrified at the thought of a new school, entering new environments, and meeting new individuals But one thing always excites me about joining Junior High School at St Joseph School, “May aircon na ‘yung school ko, puputi na ako!” As someone who experienced colorism for my skin tone, it was something I looked forward to I didn’t care about what I would learn as I took another step toward my future school life I had only cared about how my new school could change my appearance
