n April 2014, Greg and Misty Day discovered their 22-month-old son Nolan had non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a blood cancer that is uncommon in young children. Friend and neighbor support in the form of gifts, meals and fundraisers began almost immediately and still continue as Nolan approaches one year of scares, hospital procedures and chemotherapy treatments that — if all goes as planned — will continue until May 2016. The newest fundraiser was held last week and was conducted by the master-planned community of Cross Creek Ranch, where the Day family has lived since August 2013. The community is selling superhero T-shirts for $20 each, with all proceeds benefitting the Days. T-shirts can be purchased at the Cross Creek Ranch Welcome Center, 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. “We never know what the next day will bring,” Misty said.
