Italian Shrimp and Scallop Salad What You Need 5 cloves of garlic, minced 3 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped 3 tbsp fresh celery leaves, chopped 1 tsp kosher salt 1/2 c corn oil 2 c frozen ‘petite’ peas 2 lb bay scallops 2 lb small shrimp, peeled and deveined Directions • In a small bowl, stir together the garlic, parsley, celery leaves, salt, and corn oil; set aside.

• Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil over high heat. • Pour in the peas, and return to a boil. • Stir in the scallops, and boil for 3 minutes. • Then add the shrimp and continue cooking for 1 1/2 minutes more. • Drain well; cool in refrigerator for 30 minutes. • Once seafood has cooled, toss with the garlic dressing until coated. • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight. • Toss again before serving.

The City of La Feria will receive sealed bids for the reconstruction of three (3) homes for the First Project and three (3) homes for the Second Project, until 2:00 P.M., August 16, 2016, at City Hall, 115 E. Commercial Avenue, La Feria, Texas 78559. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 P.M. at the City Hall at the same address. Bids are invited upon the several items and quantities of work as follows: Construction of all three bedroom homes as described in the plans and specs to be built at the maximum three times on separate lots within the City for the First Project and three times on separate lots within the City for the Second Project. Bidders are instructed to bid the cost of the house keeping in mind that they may be awarded the construction of all houses. Demolition and disposal of the current houses on these lots will be completed by the City of La Feria and most City permit fees will be waived to meet match per each house as documented in the City’s agreement with Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
