City of La Feria Notice of Public Hearing Zoning Board of Adjustment

On Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 6:00 PM the City of La Feria Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing regarding requests from two property owners for a variance from the City of La Feria Zoning Ordinance. (1) The following property owner is requesting a variance from the La Feria Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Section 4D that the rear yard setback be a minimum of twenty (20) feet in the R-3, Single Family Residential Zone. The property which is the subject of the request for the zoning variances is 614 Avenue B; Lot 10, Block 2 Bonita Subdivision, La Feria, TX. (2) The following property owner is requesting a variance from the La Feria Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Section 4C (9)(c)(i), that the maximum height of fences or walls in residential districts on lots that are less than one acre in size be a maximum of five (5) feet high in front of the front set back line. The property which is the subject of the request for the zoning variance is 504 8th Street; Lots 51 & 52, Block 2 Traylor Acres Subdivision, La Feria, TX. The public hearing will be held at 6:00 PM. in the City Commission Meeting Room, 115 E. Commercial Ave, La Feria, TX.
