The Royston Picture Palace Story

An initiative emerged in 2009 to re-introduce cinema to Royston. Royston Town Council refurbished the building whilst the town’s business, via Royston First, provided the cinema equipment. Of course, introducing 21st century technology into a Victorian building was no mean feat, but in the summer of 2013 the Royston Picture Palace opened its doors to much acclaim. The Royston Picture Palace is run by volunteers and performances take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, and occasional Saturday matinees, providing excellent value, quality entertainment for local people, just a few weeks after main release dates. Tickets £7.50 Concessions £5.50
