As he starts a new job at a small college he becomes involved with a teacher as well as a precocious student but it takes a dramatic, existential act to turn his life around and see the world in a more positive prospective. As with any Woody Allen film this drama is full of mystery and the wonders of life.

When his wife (Thompson) demands he not travel alone, he ends up inviting his friend Stephen Katz (Nolte) who turns up, wheezing, overweight and mildly infirm, to join in a trip involving high altitudes, inclement weather, hardy terrain and... bears.

He must use his wit and ingenuity to survive on meagre supplies and to try and contact Earth to let them know he is still alive. With stunning scenery you will live and breathe the adventure with Mark Watney.

Justin Kurzel’s drama is a stunning and well-crafted epic, featuring some unforgettable performances in a film adaptation that even the great playwright himself would be proud of.

Unfortunately, due to their bumbling nature, the Minions have inadvertently bumped off each and every one of them! Fast-forward to the 1960s and the Minions are looking for a new master to serve. Their quest brings them to New York, where they discover the world’s first female supervillain, Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock).

Hi all, we have an outstanding array of films for you in November, kicking off with everyone’s favourite Disney Classic, Frozen Singa-long. Feel free to come in fancy dress, and adults don’t be afraid to belt out the numbers we know you all secretly know! Next up we have Woody Allen at his very best in what turns out to be his 50th film, once again he gets the balance of interesting story, drama and wit spot on with Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone starring in Irrational Man. The stunning visual masterpiece that is the epic Everest is up next, with Jason Clarke leading a stellar cast in this must see movie. Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods is brought to the big screen with Hollywood legends Robert Redford and Nick Nolte enjoying a bromance as they trek across the American Wilderness. And perhaps saving the best for last, the incredible The Martian starring Matt Damon and a hatful of movie-screen a-listers wraps up an amazing November here at the Royston Picture Palace. We continue into December with a heavyweight array of films, Michael Fassbender staggering in Justin Kurzel’s adaption of Shakespeare’s Macbeth kicking the month off, with those loveable Minions back for another showing in the Children’s Saturday Matinees. The beautiful Brooklyn starring the ever impressive Saoirse Ronan is our Sunday offering before the biggy, Bond is back in Sam Mendes latest working on the Ian Fleming books, with Daniel Craig again the lead as 007 in Spectre. You won’t want to miss any of these top films, so get online, visit the Library or Box Office to get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
