Sagamore Hotel opens its doors to anyone who loves art.

April 05. Art Expressions Gallery presents AQUEOUS: watermedia exhibition. Six South Florida water media artists were chosen and invited by Francisco Sheuat owner/curator of Art Expressions Gallery to exhibit their works. Art Expressions will hold a special opening reception to meet the artists on Saturday, April 5, from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. at 1438 NE 26th Street in Wilton Manors (Fort Lauderdale). April 11. South Beach’s swanky hotels hold a certain snob appeal, but the Sagamore opens its doors to anyone who loves art. Located on Collins Avenue, this “art hotel” holds many important contemporary works collected by Miami’s prominent art couple, the Taplins. Every Saturday, the public is welcome to join hotel guests as a docent gives a free and friendly tour of the collection, which includes temporary and permanent exhibits in a variety of media—sculpture, furniture, photography, painting, video and installation. Afterwards, there’s a chance to mingle over wine and cheese, compliments of the hotel. The weekly tours begin at noon and only require an RSVP to the concierge. 1671 Collins Ave. (305) 535-8088.
