Major international retailers and initiatives in Product Carbon Footprinting and Carbon Labelling come together at PCF World Forum in Berlin on September 24th & 25th.
Product Carbon Footprinting: On a way to harmonisation? Participating initiatives see global standard as biggest challenge.
One of the hottest topics in the debate on climate change is the role of personal consumption. Product Carbon Footprinting, or PCF, offers a way of measuring the greenhouse gas emissions of individual products and services. Around the world, many leading companies and initiatives have introduced PCF schemes. However, there is no internationally agreed methodology yet. Working towards a global standard has become a matter of urgency.
Major international retailers and initiatives in Product Carbon Footprinting and Carbon Labelling will gather on the 24th and 25th of September 2009 for the second summit of the PCF World Forum in Berlin. Business responses to diverging approaches will be discussed.
