MIALE TEAM ABOUT TOWN The Miale Team Hosts Happy Hour Event at GastroPark in Support of Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare
On May 27th, we hosted our first in-person event of 2021 at GastroPark, West Hartford's exciting outdoor food truck park. Clients enjoyed delicious food and drinks from vendors such as Craftbird, Grillin’ & Groovin’, and the Chunky Tomato. Local band One Time Weekend provided the music and entertainment, setting the mood for a relaxing and fun-filled evening. We teamed up with Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare to raise $2,500 to provide meals for those in need and fight food insecurity in our community. We are proud to announce that we surpassed our goal and raised over $2,500! The matching initiative brought the total donations beyond $5,000 providing more than 10,000 meals to the community. We could not have done it without the support of our sponsors or our amazing clients. The Miale Team’s mission is to empower people, the people we serve and those we serve with. As a community focused organization, we will continue to partner with Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare to raise donations and combat food insecurity in Connecticut. The Miale Team’s efforts are supported by Ward Kilduff Mortgage, The Law Offices of Richard Witt, The Law Offices of Timothy L. No Goats, No Glory! Clients Have a Ball at "Agents in the Outfield" Event Play ball! On June 26th, The Miale Team hosted "Agents in the Outfield," a client appreciation event where clients enjoyed a night at Dunkin' Donuts Park and watched the Hartford Yard Goats vs. the Richmond Flying Squirrels! It was such an incredible experience to unveil the American Flag on centerfield with our clients, accompanied by our very own Christopher Grant to represent our team by singing the National Anthem. We also celebrated our continued partnership with Connecticut Food Bank/Foodshare with a check presentation with realtor Deb Ortega and CEO of Connecticut Food Bank/ Foodshare, Jason Jakubowski. We also had the opportunity to recognize the Virtual Book Drive that the Rotary Club of West Hartford and The Miale Team sponsored in December 2020.
More than $6,000 was raised for the Children's Reading Partners to purchase new books for at-risk preschool and elementary students in Hartford area public schools. Client Spotlight: Ayon & Shilpita Building Dreams & Friendships
Ayon and Shilpita were not looking to buy a home. That is, until their close friend, Sen, first shared the idea of buying a home instead of continuing to rent an apartment. Ayon and Shilpita often discussed needing more space for their young daughter, but they had not considered homeownership an option. Yet when they ran the numbers, they realized . . . why rent when you can own for the same amount or less? With interest rates at historic lows, they decided to take the plunge into homeownership and began the search for their new home. In July 2020, Ayon and Shilpita's friend introduced them to his former agents, Rebecca and Rob, to discuss their home buying goals.
