Rosanne Fortier News Correspondent Children were able to see Santa Claus, the Grinch, Mayor of Vegreville, Tim MacPhee, and their crew when the Santa Claus Tour went through Vegreville neighbourhoods on December 22 and 23. People stayed at their doorsteps
or front doors as they greeted Santa Claus, his helpers, and crew. Anya Langkow, Tourism, Recreation and Culture Coordinator for Vegreville, said this event was a partnership between the Town of Vegreville, Vegreville & District Chamber of Commerce, Vegreville Fire Department, Country 106.5, along with Vegreville Municipal
Enforcement and Vegreville RCMP. “We hosted the Santa Claus Tour because we wanted to bring Christmas cheer and holiday spirit to the community,” Langkow said. When I asked how the event turned out overall, Langkow said, “It was a wonderful success with much gratitude expressed by our residents.”
