Chipman Agricultural Society Hosts Farrier Competition and Outdoor Market

Coyote Country Classic Farrier Competition was held the weekend of July 8-10 in conjunction with the Backroad Bazaar Outdoor Market that went July 9.

The farrier competition had a total of 30 participants. Organizer Jessie Robinson said Team Canada was picked at this contest. The top five who entered and made a commitment to international competition were selected. Members include: Chad Lausen from Strathmore, Riely Pool from Olds, Caleb Green from Chilliwack, BC and Russ Floyd from Prince George, BC.

The outdoor market was a popular stop with more than 10 vendors on site selling a variety of items including: rabbits, crystals, baking, pottery, jewelry, dream catchers and more.
