On July 8, there was the Thistle Hill Farm Petting Zoo and on July 8 and 9, there was a Charity BBQ where all proceeds will go to Vegreville Food Bank and Mannville 4-H Club.

Customers gave their impression of the new store. Trish Proznick said she felt the new store was fantastic for Vegreville. “There is so much more capacity of inventory the store can hold. The extra space is really neat. There is a wide surrounding area of communities that shop over here so this is a really good addition to the store.” Scott Zenew said he loves the new store as it is bright, welcoming and clean. “This store offers a really wonderful shopping experience. We went over here five years ago and it wasn’t that big and was rather crowded. Now, the assortment of goods in it is fantastic. It is much better laid out than some of the stores I have seen.”
