Memorial Golf Tournament Honours Life and Legacy of Marilyn Koroluk

The inaugural Marilyn Koroluk Memorial Golf Tournament was held at Whitetail Crossing on July 16.

A total of 26 teams, (105 golfers) many of which included family members and friends of Marilyn came together to honour her life and legacy.

Daughter Miranda Koroluk said with a maximum of only 50 people allowed to attend her mom’s funeral because of COVID- 19 restrictions, she along with her sister Krista Brzezicki, and their father Perry wanted to honour her in a different way.

Miranda stated that, “My dad, sister and I wanted to start a fund to honour mom and keep her name alive. The golf tournament is on what would have been her 59th birthday, she unfortunately

passed during Covid and the tournament is a way for family and friends to be together and remember great memories of mom.

She was always the most giving and loving person and would do anything for anyone. She was heavily involved in supporting the community and volunteering in many organizations.”

Miranda said everything went great during the tournament and have had nothing but great reviews and everyone had a really great time out on the course.

Marilyn ran a successful business, the Lamont Hair Boutique in the Town of Lamont for more than 30 years. Miranda said her mom was born and raised in Lamont, and married her high school sweetheart Perry on Nov. 18, 1978.
