MSV - New housing group is born TNT News A new housing group is born. It’s committed to working with communities to provide quality affordable homes in the North West. The Mosscare St Vincent’s Housing Group (MSV) and Mossbank Homes as a subsidiary brings together long-established housing providers. From July, the new group will put in place plans to develop more homes and more opportunities for customers. Msv’s Group Chief Executive,
Charlie Norman: “There is sadly still a housing crisis in the North West and an increasingly polarised society. We have an important role to play in helping to improve this. We aim to build well over 1,000 new affordable homes in the next few years. Support our neighbourhoods and customers to flourish, through a new social dividend fund – The Rob Ferguson Fund. we will support important local initiatives and entrepreneurial customers who need a hand getting their
business off the ground. We are also passionate about helping our young people get the most from life”. “MSV is also a member of the PlaceShapers network. And as such will take every opportunity to influence the supply of affordable homes through the #WeBuild campaign. Across the region nearly 44,000 too few homes were built between 2011 and 2015 to keep pace with demand* we will also be seeking opportunities to lobby for access to good health and housing provision
across Greater Manchester and the North West. Including our passion for the provision of independent living and supported homes for those that need them the most”. Chair, Jan Tasker: “The Board are elated at the joining of these two great housing associations. This union will allow us to expand our social purpose which was the driving force of the merger. It is also at the very heart of our values and mission for our organisation”.
