evening. Of course, weddings are the best event to open vast levels of the florist`s works. So the floral decorations of Karen are really excited. She aptly connects main and impossible colors, adorning them with pearls, jewels and sparkling crystals. You can see tender colors in the most of Karen`s projects which look perfect for classic weddings, but it’s a lot of bright palettes in her works. Her designs which are created in bright colors don’t look glaringly because she connects at least two or three contrast colors.

When you organize wedding you can notice that everything is interrelating. The first impression is always created by visual stuffs like floristics and decoration but it’s a mistakable opinion. The first impression is always created by emotions. They continue to heat hearts during long years after the event.

He is ready to care her and makes her funny when she can’t even imagine her life without him. It looks like you can touch the beauty of their feelings. It’s real and forceful. The agency “Svadebniy Perepoloh” was happy to work with amazingly positive and cheerful couple of Aliona and Ihor. Their sense of humor can overmaster everyone. From the very start they decided to destroy wedding traditions. At first they had an idea to hold the wedding online but they understood that online gifts aren’t good so the couple started to prepare their real ceremony. Every wedding was born by idea. This time the theme of the event was inspired by the favorite groom`s cake “Buratino”. The invitations were decided to make in the ABC-book-size with Buratino on it. The result was nice and funny but it was too big and uncomfortable. Everything was created with associations and sense. The invitation should look like they are from the fairy tale so we wanted a fairy during the wedding ceremony. The classic style of wedding was denied. So we thought that it would be great to organize polka dots wedding because it suits to fashionable hotel Intercontinental where ceremony was going to hold. Dots (candy, sweet and multicolor) were everywhere. The wedding looked like a magic box with candies and magic. Chosen colors amazed guests – they were turquoise and nasty, badass pink. The newly married couple preferred calm colors for the banquet – they were tender pink and chocolate. Floral couturier Lora Shen made this fairy tale unbelievable adding unique and bright compositions. It’s always interesting to work with high-level

professionals. Every time this team finds out fabulous ideas and projects. For this wedding the team created very interesting and various floristics, starting with fluffy floral pompons located in the ceremony area and finishing with tender and aerial compositions located in the banquet area. Organizations wanted to use easy-going couple`s characters so they created a bright photoset where were a lot of accessorizes. Also there were surprises. Ihor named Aliona as “my pearl”, and when it was his turn to give a present to his bride, he gifted her a certificate of expensive workshop where Aliona will be taught to jump with parachute. We should notice bride is afraid

of height. Of course, everybody on the ceremony calmed down, and Aliona told her future husband she will do it because she loves him. Ihor smiled, hugged her and tear the certificate to shreds. He answered: “My pearl, you will do only those things you want. I will make your dreams come true and I will care you all my life”. Then he got a beautiful box with a pearl in it and gifted to his beloved. Everything wasn’t easy about the cake too. Guests saw a little paper box with a title “Buratino”. Just for a second the guest calmed down. But the bride wasn’t agree so she showed her huge cake in polka dots and gave people a choice which one to eat.

Wedding amulet It is twenty first century, so we live in the world of modern nanotechnologies and it is commonplace to think of yourself as advanced people. However, when we get into some situations we reminded advice which we received from our grandparents in the deep childhood. Neither new scientific elaborations nor logics can be more useful than treasure which we keep from generation to generation. We are going to speak about signs.

My name is Svitlana Matvienko and I am professional wedding creator and owner of Wedding Agency “Svadebniy Perepoloh”, and I am working with young couples for years. I see two pairs of dazzling eyes every time I have a meet with future family. At this moment I think they can do everything together. Couples always want to have the best and the most quality result, and, of course, they receive it thanks to our great team of managers, coordinators, decorators and florists. In addition to the main tasks we follow basic traditions and signs which are too exciting for our couples. For example: Your marriage rings shouldn’t be worn anyone but you. Just married couple should stand together even on “for a long time photo” with guest. Their union will be strong. That spouse who wears a ring to the partner`s finger very tight, touching the finger`s basis will drive the house. Sometimes young people try to wear it tight with huge endeavors. A spouse who stands the very first on wedding towel is going to drive the house. It is always funny to watch mini-fight of couple! But everyone should remember that if you want to have agreement and calm in your house you should stand on the blessed tissue together, at the same moment. There are a lot of signs which are become traditional rituals. For example, cutting a wedding cake means mutual agreement and help, strewing couple with grains, coins, sweets and roseleafs means wealthy, sweet and satiated life, dishware beating means happiness. Young people try everything to follow the rules. One of our couple came to the restaurant and denied to seat on different chairs. We had to find them a sofa and put there a lot of pillows to provide them with comfort. The other couple organized a dishware beating through the guests. Hundreds of plates and cups were crashed. Thanks God the dishware were prepared previously so the restaurant`s stuffs were saved.

Also national sign tells us if it rains on sunny day the couple will be wealthy. Every bride I know follow the rule about something old (for example, jewelry as relic of family), something new (it is not a problem because new family is also something new), something blue and something which is borrowed (it would be better to get it from happy married woman). Old thing symbolize wisdom and peace of marriage. Blue color is sign of love, modesty and loyalty. Borrowed thing is blessing for a long and happy family life. If you don’t want to spoil your ceremony with signs, you can use the amulets. The most important amulet is a bridal veil. It protects on wedding ceremony. Bride shouldn’t part her veil and buttonhole after wedding too. They are saved at home as family relic. The bridal veil can be used as anti-hoodoo amulet for your future baby. And of course one of the most important amulet is English pin. Among the centuries it is attached inside person`s clothes to save him from hoodoo. Brides attach it on their skirt when grooms use it neat their buttonholes. Even the mother of bride should wear it on the right side of her breast. When she comes back from the ceremony she wears this amulet on the left side of her breast. After returning from the registry office or church, the mother attaches the pin to the daughter`s skirt. Believing in the signs or not is a personal business of everyone but the mood on the wedding ceremony must be high. So with the best wishes of strong love and happy life the agency “Svadebniy Perepoloh” and me. Svitlana Matvienko, present you golden English pin with heart. We hope it will bring you joy and wellbeing in your warm house; it will bring you the sense of safe and confidence and will make your relationships as golden ones!

This is Illusion, the wedding of Svetlana and Iuriy Zavtura. Svetlana is active, artistic and inquisitive. Together with her mum they created a perfect team. Having reviewed plenty of topic-based materials, they came up with dozens of ideas. However, some of those ideas had to be eliminated because of the selected wedding concept. Iuriy is reliable, considerate, loving, he supported the bride in everything. He admired her creativity and faced every

experiment with a bravery worth a real man. By the way, a stunt with a bear carrying wedding rings was his idea. Sweet, romantic and delightful couple - that is what people think of them. “We are so happy to have been communicating with them during these 6 monthsÂť - shared her impressions Svetlana Matvienko. Only talented people can take an unremarkable Kiev beach bar on the rooftop of a shopping mall in the city centre

and turn it into a small wonder island. The island where people in love confess their love to each other, celebrate their weddings and spend honeymoons with exquisite sunsets and sunrises set as a background... Surprises of the wedding - unpredictable fall of the cake, alive brown bear handing over the rings, illusionists and stilt walkers, real movie starring the newlyweds and their family, captivating performance from the real mermaids - diving

champions and many others - astonishing, interesting, entertaining and unforgettable. When it began to grow dark millions of candles were lit reflecting in water, mirrors, glass surfaces and, of course, the eyes of the happy couple Svetlana and Iuriy. Altogether it created quite a palpable illusion of another planet where there is no place for problems, wars and losses. Where people understand each other without words, a paradise where love rules! The magic of a fairytale metamorphosis became real because of the impressive aspirations, imagination and determination of couple’s family and event agency Svadebniy Perepolokh. and creative director Svetlana Matvienko give Svetlana and Iurii Zatura a wedding present - publication in the July issue of the magazine because of creativity of their ideas and innovative approach to wedding planning, high motivation and willpower. Congratulations and best wishes of happy married life full of love and understanding! To See With One’s Own Eyes A reporter from The One magazine had got a chance to attend a wedding prepared by the even agency Svadebniy

Perepoloh, which claims to be the best wedding of 2014. Taking a look behind the curtain has always been a good idea. Naturally, everything seems perfect when you are a guest at a wedding organized by a professional agency but we were able to watch the process from the beginning with our own eyes. Some peculiar task was set before the planners: to turn an ordinary place into an elegant luxurious restaurant on a wonderful island of Santorini, to create an ethereal, fresh atmosphere - in one word, to embody the idea designed earlier - Illusion. One needs to give credit for making it come to true to everyone involved. Everyone appeared on the set in time and clearly knew their duties. The scenery was being built literally before your eyes.

About Invitations Magical transformation started with making of unusual in their form and content invitations. As a result, highly appreciated classical books were turned into exclusive wedding invitation by a series of fantastical alterations. Book also were the presents at this celebration. Thus, a symbiosis of ideas from the beautiful bride and professional even agency established a new trend book relocating guests and participants to the world of dream and illusion.

And that’s when the “miracles” started. The weather was the first to reveal its tricks at the Illusion wedding. Svetlana Matvienko, agency’s owner like a conductor for a big orchestra took the situation in her own hands and made a deal with the weather. To be honest, I guess the weather finds her intimidating! Upon the arrival of the guests everything around looked astonishingly beautiful. To speak the truth, I was stunned! The place where the wedding took place underwent huge transformation. There was a gorgeous romantic island with blue water before us. Weightless cloths, luxurious floristic compositions, immaculate table layout, ombré styled decor, tender sounds of saxophone… It was then that I fig-

ured out why we needed mirror trees. The planners moved us behind the looking glass. The team managed to include even the most willful nature phenomena to the script, so that it looked planned! Afterwards, a quiet magical evening amongst the flickering of candles and a dance party till dawn! Santorini island was a spectacular illusion… A real paradise! Etiquette! The success of every event is measured by a number of factors, including your guests' level of enjoyment. Their expectations do not limit to a variety of excellent meals, a getaway from daily routine is what needed as well. The main task of the professionals is to fabricate a unique atmosphere accompanied by a high-class service that follows the etiquette. We are delighted to present our new column where we are going to highlight important moments in the preparations of different events and those «small essentials» that allow true professionals transform ordinary things into unrepeatable.

Tablecloths And Napkins At Festive Table Tasteful and appropriate table layout is the first step to making your celebration a success. So, the first topic is tablecloths and napkins at a festive table. You will hardly impress someone with sophisticated tablecloth and napkins, high quality china and silverware. One should add some artfully embellished

food that smells so deliciously, floral compositions and happy guests to the picture. Although, sometimes you may witness rather free interpretations of general standards that define professional level of a company organizing the event. Only a sharp eye belonging to a professional may spot some faults invisible to amateurs, and those faults may disrupt the harmony and damage your image as well.

What Are The Different Tablecloths? The size of a tablecloth depends on the size of a table. It should go down for 20-25cm from all sides. Tablecloth-top — a 90x90 or 120x120cm cover of a square shape is frequently used for protection. It covers the centre of a table. mostly If the dish is served in small plates,

Molleton — felt or artificial fiber of square, rectangular or round shape the size of which is defined by the size of a table will prevent slippery tablecloth, noise during moving things and will fully absorb spilled liquids and is being put under the tablecloth.

How To Lay A Tablecloth? Well-made and put in a right way, a tablecloth should be placed on the table in such a way so that central fold is on top. Two open ends should be under the fold — you can place them so holding them with your thumb, index and middle fingers. The lower part of the tablecloth should be previously straightened and

Colour Of Tablecloth White tablecloths are a traditional choice for ceremonies, yet with the development of decoration art and the appearances of new styles many prefer more complicated variants. Sequined tablecloths, embroider tablecloths, beaded, vivid and pastel, with ornaments and prints...However, the white ones remain classic. Tablecloths for open air festivities — in parks and gardens ought to be pastel so that the sun rays do not reflect in them. The color of tablecloths for themed parties and special occasions should correspond with the concept of the event and match the colors in decor. put above the lower edge of the table («vis-a-vis»). Then, the tablecloth should be slowly spread out with its second more thick part staying open. The end should go down for 20-25cm each, however there should still be 1cm left until the level of the chairs. Square tablecloth on a round table should cover the legs of the table with its ends. The ends of a tablecloth-top should no stretch to the edge of the table.

Napkins Napkins themselves may also be an element of decor aside from serving their usual purpose. They provide a possibility to turn to more beautiful and diverse decorations of a festive table. Napkins are brought immediately after the main table appointments and placed on the right of the silverware. If there is no bread plate, then on the left. It is also possible to put napkins on the bread plate or the main plate in

case three and more dishes are planned. There is a huge variety of forms, for instance, "Lily", "artichoke" or "blossoming lotus", “Dauben's Waterlily”, “crown’, “arch”, “star fan”; but the highest skill is to fold a napkin with a single touch. After all, very few people would like to use a napkin that had been folded for a long time.

46

3 I 2014

The most important thing we would like to draw your attention to is a fabric for napkins and tablecloth: it has to be natural, synthetic fabrics are out of question here. Linen and cotton ones are the best for this purpose. And remember: if you decide to use a silk napkin in your table layout, it should always go together with a linen one. Silk

is not practical, it simply adds up to the festivity of the event when linen fabric is able to absorb liquids and is smooth to the touch.

We wish you to embody your ideas in a calculated and professional way!

Shabby chic style A client always seeks for something new and unique and his wish, as they say, is our command. This explains why the art of design is never static. New styles, substyles, trends and images emerge, best of which combine the charm of old traditions, new trends and the practicality of modern technologies.

How To Spot It Soft pastel hues: white, beige, creamy, pale pink, lavender, light purple, pale blue, pale turquoise, the colour of sea foam. The colours that look faded in the sun; interior decor and furniture with shabby effects, patina and several layers of paint; ornament — small flowers, mostly roses, birds, angels;

Facts Only Shabby chic — is romantic, homeliness and refined vintage, the name itself describes the concept of this style. It also represents other styles, such as baroque, rococo, Victorian style and Provencal. It was originally designed in the end of the 80s in Britain by Rachel Ashwell. She got tired of the ubiquitous minimalism, so she found herself a small hobby: to visit flee markets, buy old furniture for nothing and restoring it. So when her house was full she started to sell renewed furniture. As you may notice, that business was not at all fruitless.

Requirements for furniture: natural wood, curved lines, all kinds of curls, carvings, ornaments, no sharp angles; Covers for chairs and armchairs; Lots of small details, a large number of textiles, pillows, napkins and curtains; flooring — natural, wooden, weathered parquet floor.

Shabby chic interior While this style is modern, its main purpose is to share the long history of the house, even if it is done artificially. This style creates a cosy and friendly atmosphere of a family that values miscellaneous small things full of memories. Shabby chic is primarily attractive because of the details in decor. It is always interesting to scrutinise such interior design. The portrait of a hostess is hidden among delicate and feminine decorations. Those can be boxes, unusual frames, clocks, vases of various shapes and sizes, candlesticks, mirrors and jewellery. You may set up a real still life linking the pieces together by their colour.

52

3 I 2014

Even though the furniture is to be timeworn, high quality and firmness is equally important. Shabby chic can be easily applied to the furniture from different eras and styles. Just like all the interior items, textiles for decoration should be natural. Elegant wallpapers with fine floral, thin-stripped or cell pattern or slightly chipped paint. The curtains, by all means, should be draped nicely and complemented by lambrequins, and a cascade. The last, but not least: add more life to the space with the help of the fresh flowers - roses, peonies, garden flowers.

Shabby chic wedding The basis of style — tenderness and romance, makes it a perfect wedding theme. For the decorations you may choose several pastel shades and match them with white. If you want to splash some colour, go for confectionery, "sweet" hues. Do not be afraid of artificially aged things, they will only emphasize the style of decor. But the most important task is to entice the guests. Plenty of trifles and details: antique watches,

paintings in heavy frames, gramophones, chandeliers, vases, antique phones, flower pots, chests of drawers with lots of drawers, each of them with pile of beautiful flowers - this will help to decorate every single wedding location - from ceremonial zone up to photo zone. It is best to use various vintage chairs and armchairs, plates with ornaments, straight from grandmother’s drawer, strings of pearls, lace, vintage cells and tablecloths with small pattern in pastel colours.

Secret garden

English garden as a captivating trend did not lose its popularity in 2014 wedding decor. David Austin’s roses that resemble English garden roses served as an inspiration here. English garden style is quite similar to the correspondingly fashionable rustic style by some common features: same soft colours, weathered textures, pretty little things and, of course, natural flowers: garden and wildflowers. Yet, English garden is more refined and elegant. More and more often brides choose it for their weddings because sometimes it is so nice to get lost

in some secret and cosy place with only the closest people around. However, this is only an introduction because we want to tell you about the trend, which actually reveals the style of an English garden as such. - Garden flowers: dahlias, asters, zinnias, crocuses, marigolds, roses, peonies and daisies. They are special, sensual and romantic. Complementing them with more expensive flowers, for example craspedia, brunia astilbe, or an orchid, you will easily reach a professional level of floral decoration.

Aside from the flowers, there were coins, ribbons, pins, feathers and stones. While for many countries, it's just a stylish accessory, for us, Ukrainians, it is a part of the culture, tradition, our pride and

symbol. Indestructible image of our faith, thriving soul, brave heart, female beauty, tenderness, love, gratitude and hope. Curiously enough, the world seems to borrow this trend from us. Anyway, we are glad to share the best!

These sophisticated feminine fabrics were first mentioned in the Bible while describing weightless embroidered fabrics in the vestments of the priests and church decorations. The production of lace started in XV century in Venice. Handmade lace fabrics quickly became a subject of adoration among the elite. Nowadays we may literally dive into a sea of different laces. Let’s indulge ourselves with some unforgettable lace pleasure worth the envy of kings!

burlapandbangs.com

Do not be scared to experiment with various fabrics and ribbons, mix them with lace, add some colour accents, seethrough fabric background, create your own unrepeatable design. Keep in mind that sometimes small details happen to be the most memorable and unexpectable. Those are jars, cones, letters, frames, mirrors covered in lace, hanging on ribbons or even lace manicure and makeup. These tips will be also useful for creating comfort in your home.

One can hardly get tired of mentioning lace - aristocratically classics that has been remaining among the favourites for years now. However, every year the romantic trend reveals new facets and shades. At last, the lace “with a meaning has come into fashion. For example, Kate Middleton had all the ornaments of British natural elements depicted on her veil. Also, designers began using coloured lace, and lace total look came into fashion, event decor and interior design.

White VS Colourful One of the major fashion trends in 2014 according to the designers was colour, but which of them? White or colourful china? What is trendy right now? We had spoken to our foreign colleges, then consulted our fashion-expert Marishel and found out that both of these trends are equally popular. In fact, it all depends on your vision. We will make a brief review of colour variations in table layout, however, the choice is yours.

Colourful Crockery New interesting tendency has been arising since the beginning of 2014. Lots of famous restaurant-keepers started to choose unusual table layouts to classical ones. A demand for designer crockery - plates and glasses of extraordinary shape, colour and interesting ornaments became much higher. Because of that a curious experiment was set. Best Michelin chefs from all over the world were asked to draw a plate of their dreams. The results were very pleasing: not only the plates were functional but also very original - absolutely different, creative, vivid, with different patterns. There is one joky superstition: “The more colours one used for wedding decorations, the more chances there are for a happy marriage. The most important thing is for the ornaments and flowers to match the general stylistics of a wedding.

White Crockery White never goes out of fashion. It is a traditional win-win choice. It always looks exceptionally festive and is associated with purity and fragility. White crockery with crisp napkins for a classical wedding and same white crockery accompanied by colourful accessories for a thematic one. Food looks showily and taste because of the contrast.

In the beginning there was a word and then it became written. Although they say that soon books will be over, replaced by tablets and e-books, we refuse to believe this. A book is the whole world, different reality in which we find and experience desirable emotions, impressions and feelings. The rustle of the yellow pages, the smell of wisdom, a sense of anticipation ... No, the book is not replaceable! Create this unique atmosphere during the most important day of your life, write your own Love story. Allow your loved ones not only to sense it but make it palpable for them. Your main assistants here are, of course, your favourite books in beautiful bindings. The guests may leave their wishes with the help of a typewriter, the library card file will serve as a seating plan and everywhere there are going to be sheets of paper with the most sincere words written on them. Most certainly, books are a very elegant choice for a wedding decoration. You may revive vintage style from the times of Sherlock Holmes and Jane Eyre as well as the modern one, using comics based on your adventures.

Flowers On The Windowsill

Quite an extraordinary 2014 trend worth our attention is succulent plants, which at first glance seem to be the last thing one would want at the wedding. However, we offer you to find out what makes them so attractive in the eyes of today’s florists and brides worldwide. A huge variety of species of succulents from the famous aloe, money tree (Crassula or Crassula), rock rose to echeveria, pahifituma, haworthias, aeonium and senecio. You simply have to look

them up on the internet. They grow on our windowsills, but we do not even suspect they may contribute to the creation of so many beautiful things. These magnificent plants are truly allpurpose. They look as good as flowers that have many shades, from pale green to bright purple and their leaves are fuzzy, glossy, soft to the touch, like a patina. Besides, succulent plants go perfectly with almost all flowers. They look especially good with roses, lemon-yellow

craspedia, calla lilies, dahlias, ranunculus, as well as tropical flower of protea. Their biggest advantage of succulent plants is their resilience and high survival rate. These plants are adjusted to living in dry areas and therefore are able to accumulate moisture in the leaves and stems. You do not have to worry about the freshness of the bouquet, and after the celebration is over you can plant them into beautiful pots and enjoy them for years to come.

Behind The Glass

We communicate with famous designers, decorators and artists a lot, but every time we make sure that simple things are the best choice for creating a masterpiece. The important thing is to look at them in terms of beauty. Bottles, flasks, jars, and even light bulbs ... Items of everyday life may come out so aesthetically pleasing when included into decor! With their help, any design becomes exclusive. However, the most intriguing facts lay in the long and thrilling history of glass.

Unappealing bottles made of blurred glass are considered to belong with the Middle East and North Africa. Yet, we find it easier to believe that the first glass blowers, pioneers of the XIII century, were the Romans, who settled on the island of Murano and started the first manufacture of modern wine bottlesequivalents. Later, with the development of technology, works of art of the Venetian masters were among the most highly regarded. Painted with gold, with applied glass details of

fantastic shapes added, decorated with relief pictures depicting mythological scenes, exotic flowers and fruits, they were expensive and incredibly popular with the rich and famous people of the time. This is how the glass became fashionable. Nowadays an elegant bottle of an expensive drink will unquestionably enhance the festive spirit of the table. Apart from using it for an intended purpose, you may turn a bottle into an interior design item by simply using your imagination.

Sun Energy

The one The art of details

blogs.topwedding.com, lover.ly, stemfloral.com

Warm, positive and nice, yellow has lots of shades to fit the summer wedding perfectly. In ancient times it was named «the color of still sun», so why shouldn't we charge the most important event with the vivifying energy of this bright star? Yellow brings luck to intellectuals, travelers, those in love and those who wants some changes. Love, youth, happiness — perfect set for the beginning of a new life. Yellow could be literally everywhere on a wedding. Let us start with the bride. Surely, yellow dress would be a bold decision, however, a few yellow highlights created with the help of accessories are exactly what we need: shoes, belt, fresh flowers in the hair, jewelry. Not every bridegroom would say yes to a canary-yellow suit, therefore you may consider embellishing his attire with a yellow boutonnière, tie, bowtie or pocket square. Bride's bouquet can be either monochrome or with the shades that go in accordance with the colour scheme of the wedding. There is no point in telling you about the other ways of using this colour, you know that already! You should simply follow your imagination. Although we would like to give you one advice: take smiles, huge yellow letters and balloons of different sizes to your photoshoot. Also, you may play with some shades of yellow separating different zones of the celebration. For example, a candy bar may be bright yellow, while a banquet room may be decorated using shades of orange, use colours with ombré effect. Have a sunny mood!

Valery Sozanovsky, 26 y.o. Businessman, confectioner, founder of his own brand Sweet-Factory.

Having graduated from National Patisserie Academy under the patronage of Alain Ducasse today talented and fashionable Valera charms the girls with his “sweet creations”. His confectionery house Sweet-Factory is the most popular in Kiev. He used to dream of becoming a banker as a child. Perhaps, that is why he prefers a serious start of the day — a cup of double espresso and gym. He also dislikes when people are late. Just like any person in this business, Valery enjoys food. In his leisure time he chooses to read and travel. When we asked him how to make a girl fancy you, without any hesitation he answered: «With attention, care and sense of humor.» No doubts, such attitude will conquer the hearts of Victoria's Secret angels since the girl of his dream is supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Those who look like English model may consider themselves lucky: Valera knows how to treat ladies. He even recorded a song for his beloved once! On the first date he will take his romantic interest to The Burger (one of the places with tremendous food and where, by the way, you can try signature desserts from Sweet-Factory) and, of course, will teach her to cook, Sozanovsky does not ask anything in return: «A girl should be able to crack a joke and make me happy!»

Constantine can’t stand arrogance, vanity and laziness and does not understand how one may pose as a person he/she really is not. Being very punctual man himself he expects the same from the others. We wondered what was his childhood dream and he answered, “To be an honest person. My parents have brought up someone who does not do anything he might be ashamed of later. They used to say that words are much more important than anything you may ever achieve.” He starts his day with a walk with Barcelona and gets up at 6 am to do that. His labrador charges him with positive vibes and energy, so that Constantine thinks even their characters are alike. When we asked him what skills she needed to posses, with no doubts he answered, “To smile, be optimistic, happy and be able to rejoice in every day. krainians pass a vast number of beautiful and wise traditions, customs and ideas from one generation to another. Everything created by Ukrainian craftsmen of the previous epochs, all the cultural values of the past compile our ancient Ukrainian legacy which forms the traditions. Ukrainian traditions mark the presence of the past in present. This is our selective memory that has stored everything a modern person would need in relevant form for the upcoming generations of young Ukrainians. We are happy to give introduction to the very unconventional art-project aiming to emphasize the continuous, perpetual connection between the cultural values of the past and modern art. With the help of creative studios “Shlyakhetnyi Odyag” and “Ladosvit” we set up an installation of modern and ancient Ukrainian headwear and costumes. Since ancient times, caring mother’s hands have been making wreath for their daughters that allegedly were full of magical power. As a symbol of maidhood, wreaths keep attracting young girls, giving resplendent, unusual and indigenously Ukrainian details to their attire. Along with Ukrainian embroidered shirts, wreaths with ornamental stripes used to composite the base of a Ukrainian folk costume and serve as some sort of an amulet against evil magic during ancient times. In the cradle it guarded the newborn against the evil eye and evil spell. It protected warriors during wars and helped them to come back home alive. When put under the first sheaf, it was believed to increase the yield. Girls washed their faces with water drops from the wreath to preserve and boost their beauty. Nailed to the front door a wreath was to provide the family with health all year round. Ribbons and flowers in wreaths, just like the ornaments on clothes appeared as code system that harboured a purely magical significance. Today this complex system has been transformed into a trend, although retained some part of its original meaning.

Classics

There is no use in denying the fact of wedding fashion development. It seems like we have seen it all, but the world confectioners keep creating real miracles, inventing new types of desserts, including the main wedding food - the cake. Although some things remain unchanged. Traditions that we cherish and refined classics that are preferred by most of brides. There is no need to mention beautiful wedding cakes decorated with flowers, beads and ribbons. After all, they are here to be admired. Therefore, we will tell you about the cake that thrills all British royal family fans and had been talked about internationally for 2 years. Wedding cake of Kate Middleton and Prince William weighted 100 kilograms and 1 meter in height. This magnificent work of culinary art consisted of 8 layers. The pattern followed the embroidery of a wedding dress. In the UK they sometimes can store a wedding cake and it never spoils, on the contrary, it becomes more delicious. The optimal period of exposure, according to the confectioners, is 30 months. The secret is in the recipe: cherries, lemon, raisins, walnuts, grated orange peel, and French brandy are being used. At the ceremony the couple has only treated their guests with the one, top layer of the cake and kept the rest for future major events. Just like that, one of the eight layers was offered to the guests at the baptising of their son - Prince George, 23 October. Very recently, one half of the royal dessert has been auctioned for $4160. Aren’t you curious to learn what the happy owner will do to it?

Extend Where did you first hear about ombré? Perhaps, you saw such clothes or were proposed to dye your hair in ombré colour? You surely know that today it is being used in interior designs, event decor and especially weddings. Of course, if you are having an ombré wedding, the cake should be of a matching colour. The term “ombré” is not the only one to denote the darkening of colours. There are also words like "degradés" and "gradient", however, they have the same meaning - a smooth transition from light to dark shades of colour, here we are talking about the colour stretching. Sometimes several colours may b picked. With this method, you can create unusual combinations, and even if your wedding is planned in light colours, you risk nothing when gradually add bright accents. When it comes to the cake in ombré colour, it will look very effectively and delicious! By the way, you may want to use gradient not only for cream, but also layers, mastic and filling.

It can be seen in the churches of the Renaissance and the Gothic style. The name of the pattern can be traced back to the XV century. Over time, the designers have given it a more inclined and square edges. The enlarged pattern is often used on the wallpaper.

7

It was named in the same way as the sun awning along the coast or near the pool, and its name means "hut" in Spanish. The same wide stripes adorn the beach towels, pillows and garden beds.

5

Its name is suggestive of melodramatic novels, but for the first time this print appeared on the medieval buffoon costume. By the way, many carpets and fabrics depict these diamonds.

8

The first to wear such a fashionable pattern today were the shepherds in Scotland. Uneven rows of dark and light yarns. I wonder what inspired the masters of that time?

6

In Hinduism and Buddhism it is a symbol the universe, and the name of this intricate pattern in Sanskrit means "circle". The pattern looks great on the stained glass windows, bed linen and tablecloths.

9

This pattern is called a ging gang in Malay, which means "striped". These equal squares of two colours seem to call you to go on a picnic.

13

The first versions of this pattern can be seen on ancient Chinese silk, which was transported the West via Damascus. It was in honour of the capital of Syria that this graceful pattern got its name. Many admirers of elegance choose a sofa upholstery, bed linen and wallpapers with such motives.

The idea of this patter is very simple: square or other shapes are combined with each other at right angle. With the first glance you will understand which culture brought us this drawing. Ceramic tiles, carpets, vases, clothing and other items are adorned using this particular pattern.

A classic pattern that is making a come back again in men's fashion, and also appears in the decoration of cushions, scarves and blankets. It reminds the pattern of tires.

14

15

What it reminds you of? Yes, that’s right, wicker furniture made of rattan. It was very popular in the West in the XIX century. Besides imitations of wicker pattern on the fabric, without a doubt, is a more budget option than rattan wicker.

In fact, this is not exactly a pattern, but rather a weaving technique originated in northeast Asia. The process of binding, dyeing and weaving of yarn creates a complex, interesting and somewhat blurred pattern.
