Trinity-Spadina residents have turned their riding from orange to red, electing Liberal Adam Vaughan to replace outgoing NDP MP Olivia Chow. Vaughan took to the stage and thanked his parents for their inspiration. “My mom’s hard work wore off on me; my father who served on city council...always believed that ideas can change the world,” he said. The newly-elected MP emphasized his desire to focus on building housing, building transit, and reinvesting in cities. Vaughan pointed to the residents of Alexandra Park as a model group for communitybuilding. “City of Toronto could use a lot more of Alex Park; Alex Park could use a little more from the City of Toronto,” said Vaughan, vowing to fight for the community in Parliament.
