Be Involved Volunteerism is a way of life at The Peck School. We teach our students the tremendous power of community involvement, and we know that it ensures a lifetime of meaningful bonds with teachers, classmates, neighbors, and the wider world. As parents, faculty, staff, and administrators, we know that giving back does not stop when the school day ends, and we are proud to demonstrate our commitment to each other through our active involvement and genuine investment in our students’ everyday experiences. As a Peck parent, you are asked to lend a helping hand throughout the year and take an active role in your child’s education. We believe that each member of our community has unique skills and traits that enhance The Peck School experience for all students. Volunteer opportunities abound, and we endeavor to work within your busy schedules to maximize your Peck parent experience.

Stay Invested As an independent school, Peck is truly self-supporting and relies on the generosity of all members of our community—parents, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends—to support our commitment to character formation and a rigorous and inspirational academic program. The Peck School community has a strong culture and tradition of philanthropic giving. It is our hope that every member of our community will consider investing in each of our fundraising initiatives and participate at a giving level most meaningful to them.

Be Involved PARENTS ASSOCIATION:

The Peck Parents Association (PA) is at the heart of the Peck experience, relying on many parent volunteers to help bring events and initiatives to life. When you enroll your child at Peck, you automatically become a member of the Parents Association. The objectives of the PA are to support the school by helping parents build relationships with other parents and the school—to help families gain a better understanding of Peck, and to promote a sense of community by assisting with social, fundraising, and educational events and activities. A vibrant and engaged PA leads to lasting friendships, a family-like community atmosphere, and dynamic parent-school partnerships— benefits that are felt by our students, their families, and our faculty and staff. This is the essence of what distinguishes the Peck community. PARENTS ASSOCIATION GROUP FOR INCLUSIVITY (P.A.G.I.)

The PA doesn’t just host community and social events! P.A.G.I meetings provide opportunities to dialogue, learn about and explore issues of diversity to develop a deeper understanding of identity, foster consideration of others, and support an inclusive and equitable community.

PARENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

There are a number of volunteer opportunities that suit a vareity of time and resource committments. To learn more about how to volunteer, please contact the Parents Association Executive Committee at parentassociation@peckschool.org or the Advancement Office at 973-539-8660, ext. 113.

We’ve made some of our best family friendships at Peck. It’s truly rewarding to be part of this community, and to have so many ways I can get involved in life at my child’s school. - A Peck Parent
