Executive Director Focus Dear Friends: It is hard to believe that the end of the year is approaching so quickly. Time really does fly when you do what you love! I recently celebrated my 20th year at SafeHaven. I could not think of a better way to spend 20 years than rescuing animals and having each of you by my side cheering me on every day. Your support of SafeHaven is awe inspiring and a blessing to so many lives saved. When we first moved into our new facility (over 7 years ago now), I put this quote on the wall in the lobby of our shelter as a reminder to me, the staff, and each person who walks through our doors about why we do what we do at SafeHaven:
"Rescue animals aren't broken; they've simply experienced more life than other animals. If they were human, we would call them wise. They would be the ones with the tales to tell and the stories to write, the ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Don't pity them. Do something. Help a rescue. Donate. Volunteer. Foster.
