Freddie Mac Sees Economic Revival
Frank Nothaft, Chief Economist for Freddie Mac, recently shared his perspective on the nation’s economic recovery by asking “Are we there yet?” As Nothaft points out, “The outlook has been improving steadily since the summer o f 2009. Even in the housing sector, which was ground zero for many of the economic troubles during the crisis, signs are looking up. Total new and existing home sales rose 43 percent between January and
November 2009, and home prices have leveled off in many indexes.” Nothaft credits the government’s tax credit programs for helping to stabilize home prices and sales. He explains, “The tax credits have caused some families to purchase a home earlier than they might have otherwise, thus moving sales forward in time and helping support the housing market. High affordability and improved buyer sentiment further bolster sales.”

Families who frequently entertain in the kitchen may want to expand the room and add an island or some comfortable chairs. Consider removing a wall and opening the kitchen to the family room with an island and or bar top. If your bathroom is the place where you escape the world, add a whirlpool tub or a deluxe shower. After you’ve chosen an area of your home to remodel, the wide array of project options can be both dazzling and intimidating. To get started, consult the resources below, which can give you specific ideas on how to turn your house into the dream home you’ve always wanted. Jay Pittard Joins Brenner Real Estate
Jay has more than 20 years of management and leadership experience with the US Government and the private sector. He received his real estate broker’s license in 2000 and he is Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
