The new website can be reached using the domain names of either www.move2moore.com or www.pinehurstncREALTORS®.com. So what inside this new website that would be of interest to real estate consumers, first-time homebuyers, relocating homeowners, retirees, business executives, second home buyers, investors, and our members: First a quick overview- The home page provides further access to pages on- Property Search, Find a REALTOR®, Use a REALTOR®, and Find an Affiliate Members, About the Area, Consumer Information, Community Links and About Us. In addition, there is a Search box for access to local real estate information by using key words for a search. Also provided on the home page are short concise real estate informational articles or links to libraried articles. You can define personal widgets from a selection of about 45 different widgets. Association and MLS members can login using personal passwords. There is also a rotating pictorial of Moore County sites. There is also a quick link to the Open House search. An Association and MLS events calendar can be easily reached from the Home Page. So now let's talk about the Property Search page. The design theme for the Property Search pages was to allow consumers and clients to access all properties listed by members of the PSPA MLS. The main search criteria are: Residential, Land, Commercial or Open Houses. After selecting the main criteria you can enter

search criteria such as Town/Village/City, Street Name, Type (Single family, condo, horse farms) Square Footage, Number of Bathroom and Bedroom. Probably most important is price range. Easy to use toggle bars and pull downs were used. Consumers can now obtain a complete listing of all planned open house locations by accessing the Property Search tab. The Open House calendar listing will give you location, open house time, comments about the property. What a great resource for consumers. Now let's find a REALTOR®. It very easy using the template and pulldowns on the Find a REALTOR® page. An easy search would be by first and or last name- just type it in. You can also search by Broker Office, REALTOR® Designation, Multi-lingual REALTORS® and Specialties. From this search page you will be provide a complete list of REALTOR® members who fit your criteria. The member information contains a photo, contact information and the ability to send an email, view that REALTORS® residential, commercial or land listings. All listing information contains complete Google mapping. Let's see we did a property search, found a REALTOR® and now we need to search for maybe a home inspector, mortgage consultant, local bank or an attorney. So let's go to Find An Affiliate. This page provides a link by business specialty for the Association's Affiliate members. It provides contact information, office location mapping and other business information. Although most Americans had to sign a sales contract by the end of April 2010 to claim one of the government’s homebuyer tax credits, qualified military servicemen and women have an additional year to take advantage of these incentives. The $8,000 tax credit for first-time buyers and the $6,500 credit for repeat buyers have been extended for active military personnel as well as members of the Foreign Service and intelli-

gence agencies. Eligible buyers must sign a binding sales contract by April 30, 2011 and close the sale by June 30, 2011. This provision only applies to those who have served on official duty outside the U.S. for at least 90 days between January 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010. However, a person who did not complete the required 90-day tour of duty because of medical reasons may also qualify for the oneyear extension. In addition, service members

They are licensed by the NC State General Contractor Licensing Board for any project larger than $30,000 They have and show proof of appropriate liability insurance for your project Maintain a clean well organized job site Provide refferals from past satisfied customers who verify both the builders work quality and their after the sale service and warranty work. Have long term established relationships with highly skilled and respected trade partners such as electricians, plumbers, drywall installers, painters, etc‌ Another important indicator of professionalism is whether the contractor belongs to a PAGE 12

builders association or other professional groups such as The National Association of Home Builders. Becoming a member in good standing of such groups usually means that a builder is an established member of the community. Builders associations encourage research to develop materials, new building techniques, new building equipment, and improved methods of home financing so that home buyers receive the greatest possible value for their money.
