loha Penguins! Can you believe we’re halfway through the term already! I can’t believe it either but District Convention is actually 6 months away! Anywho, it is now October and it is quite eventful. I just wanted to express my gratitude for all the penguins that came out to Region Training Conference 2017--despite it being my first and last RTC, I had a lot of fun and I hope you did too telling your Tale of Service! ;) If you missed it, no worries! Fall Rally North is coming up and I hope to see you all there dressed up in purple. Be sure to attend our spirit prep on October 14 to ensure that you’re ready

ey Penguins, hopefully you all had a great first semester of high school and winter break! Half way through the school year is something to celebrate and one way to do so is by participating in more events. After recovering from your finals and relaxing through

your break, you’ll now be pumped up more than ever to make your community better.

Penguin Popsicle Points Through the Penguin Popsicle Points system, clubs and members will have the opportunity to get the recognition they deserve throughout the term and this will determine end of the year prizes/awards.

Cupertino Co-op Nursery

ey club members went to the Cupertino Co-op nursery and helped with their fall festival. They helped set up and serve food during this event. Mostly upperclassmen attended the event.

M
embers were encouraged to volunteer at the Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library Book Sale. They would help organize and help customers find the books. Or they could help with clean-up, an arduous process that involves heavy lifting and cart-rolling. The staff at the event provided volunteers with a $5 voucher to use during the sale and snacks. Volunteers were able to attend on Saturday or Sunday, whichever one better fit their schedules.
