MONTHLY ISSUE Look out for Division & Club Updates!
Hello Hello Purple Penguins! Can you believe that this is the last newsletter of the term? Even in a pandemic, time has flown by quickly -- this month marks my final weeks as your Lieutenant Governor. Through all our DCMs, service projects, socials, and more, it was a joy to see all of your faces through Zoom! As we navigated uncharted territory, I'm glad that we kept up our spirits with breakout rooms, Spotify playlists, and of course, the constant struggle of renaming. Although this term was entirely virtual, purple penguins still CRUSHED it! While we won't have the final numbers until the banquet, we currently record nearly 4,000 service hours and $2,500 for PTP. Thank you, Division 34 South, for never failing to serve. I will always cherish my time with you in my heart. Congratulations to all newly elected officers -- I wish you the best in the coming term with LTG elect Maddie! As we head to District Convention 2021, I thank you, Division 34 South, for allowing me the honor of serving you. I'm going to save the sappy speeches for the banquet, but for now, stay icy, purple penguins!
Waddling in Service,
CHERYL BAI

Hello Key-ute Penguins! Happy final newsletter! Final newsletter- it's already the end of the term! This is the last time I'll ever speak to you again through a newsletter :( But I am hyped for the upcoming term! This past term has been exhilarating to say the least, and I have had a blast at all the events we had over Zoom; despite 99% of them being completely online. Thank you to all of you who have attended events, donated, volunteered, served- everything you have done for Key Club through our division! We would have never been able to serve the past term like we did without you. As this term is coming to a close, I want to remind all of you of how we were able to do so well in trying to complete our division goals and that we should continue that same positive energy for the 2021-2022 term! I also want to say, congratulations and congrats in advance to all of the elected officers! To those officers, thank you for your passion to want to serve your role and further help our organization grow. Special congrats to Maddie for being elected as LTG!! I am so excited to see what is going to go down next term. See you then and stay safe! :D

I’m Maddie, your Lieutenant Governor Elect for the 2021-2022 term. After all these years in Key Club as a member, Club President, Division Service Projects Coordinator, and now an LTG elect, I am thrilled to be able to further increase my involvement in D34S and end my Key Club journey with a bang! I treasure the memories of my first service event, my first Key Club friend, my first DCM, my first RTC...the list goes on. As many of you have experienced or will experience, the opportunities that Key Club offers for leadership and character building are endless.

It is truly a club where you can make your ideas and your visions a reality, with the support of a community of members who are genuinely excited and spirited and want to make a difference in the world around them. That is what I find so special about Key Club. I cannot wait to get to know every one of you, and to serve our community virtually, and later in-person, once it is safer to do so. We are going to have an amazing year together, full of fun and impactful events, successful fundraisers, dedicated members, and collaboration and community throughout it all. I hope you are all as excited for the 2021-2022 term as I am! Please feel free to reach out to me if you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns.

CUPERTINO
This month, we had one officer meeting and two member meetings. In the first member meeting, we played club-wide Jackbox games with our families as an icebreaker. In the second member meeting, the main event was an FRN-themed escape room activity using key club-related questions as the "keys" to escape. We only held two of our usual weekly service sessions and both of them were doy toy making. We also started planning for our first and likely our last fundraiser of the year set for mid-March!

This past month, Lynbrook Key Club provided a large variety of service events from DIY fun kits to writing to first responders. We have also hosted a Panda Express fundraiser and held a goose chase competition over break!
MENLO-ATHERTON
Menlo Atherton Key Club spent February doing service at every week's meeting and planning for March's service events. Service projects include writing Valentine's Day cards to kids in St. Jude hospitals and doing Freerice.
MONTA VISTA
Monta Vista has released officer applications this month and has been continuing our weekend service events. We have also recently held our Shadow-An-Officer event where members got a behind the scenes look at what goes in to being a Key Club officer.

MOUNTAIN VIEW
This past month has been more of a preparation month for us. We’ve been getting ready to end the term on a high note with elections and service weekends!

GOOSECHASE BONDING EVENT
LYNBROOK
Over mid-year recess (2/15/2021-2/19/2021), we had our members take pictures of themselves completing various missions on GooseChase to earn points for their teams. Some missions included signing a petition or recycling 10 items. The purpose of this activity was to keep members engaged and motivated throughout break, and they could also learn more about each other to see what others post.
