Letter from Ltg Salutations, Penguins! My term is officially over, and it is time for the incomparable Sriya Pillutla to show you what she can do. After having seen what Sriya is capable of, all I can say is: y’all aren’t ready. Thank you so much, purple penguins. Because of you, this term has been a truly unforgettable one. It’s been an honor serving with you all.

Waddling in Service,

MADELINE CLARA CHENG

OUR CLUBS CUPERTINO

This month, we held only one member meeting due to conflicting times with school activities. During our meeting, we announced new service opportunities, opened up officer applications for the 2022-2023 term, and congratulated our Member of the Month for January. We also had a successful service event where members helped run and/or participated in the walkathon that was hosted by Branham Key Club from D12W!

FREMONT

GUNN

This month, Gunn KEY club partnered with YCS-I to put on a campus-wide service day. KEY club managed on-campus service events such as making no sew blankets for the Palo Alto Humane Society, making toiletry kits for the homeless, and painting a playhouse with Habitat for Humanity.

10

HOMESTEAD Homestead held a general member meeting at the start of the month, where we introduced new service opportunities and did icebreaker activities. We started lunchtime service events, with the first one being making origami paper cranes! Our committees are meeting together to plan their own projects as well as an upcoming restaurant fundraiser.
