Letter from Ltg Salutations, Penguins! Did you love last month’s Around the World November service initiative? If you’re interested in planning incredible events like this, talk to SPC Sriya (DLT contact info is at the back of the newsletter) to show your interest—we may reopen applications for the Service and Fundraising Committee. CTC is right around the corner! If you’re interested in running for my position as LTG for the 2022-2023 term, be sure to attend. You’ll learn tons of valuable knowledge that’ll help you decide whether or not to run, and to help you prepare for conclave in January.

Waddling in Service,

MADELINE CLARA CHENG

OUR CLUBS CUPERTINO This month, we had one member meeting. During our meeting, we had our service event recap, announced a new service event, formed families, had a Key Club Trivia, and lastly, distributed spirit gear! We also had three service projects. Our first one was the Tournament of Bands that took place at our school. Volunteers helped with a wide variety of tasks to help run the event. The second project was poster making, and our third event was volunteering at a Día de los Muertos Run-Walk event. The Run-Walk event was pretty successful as we had 8 members attend, accumulating a total of 36 volunteer hours, and all the members seemed to have fun!

FREMONT

---

GUNN We have had meetings every week except for homecoming week. The last couple of meetings we have been doing Snacks and Service and making blankets to donate to the Veterans Hospital. We are planning to have a meeting with the officers to discuss a potential collaboration with YCS and Green team for next semester.

HOMESTEAD

Homestead held our second general meeting at the start of October, where we introduced club and division events, dues payment, and junior officer applications! Many members participated in online events, such as Color-A-Smile and Vizer, as well as in-person events like the October DCM. Another one of our big October events was the Monster Bash Halloween event held by the City of Mountain View, where we hosted a craft area for over 500 attendees!

LOS ALTOS

---

LYNBROOK

This month, Lynbrook has been trying to find fun in-person volunteer events for our members. On top of that, we had several monthly and weekly volunteering events and incorporated fun activities like Mentimeter and Kahoot during our weekly meetings.

MONTA VISTA -----

MOUNTAIN VIEW

Mountain View has introduced our ongoing service events (Charity Miles and the Second Harvest Food Bank) in the past month. We have also continued promoting upcoming events - our school's annual Turkey Trot and Tree Lot - which will occur later in November.

PALO ALTO

This month, we collected dues, planned for service events, and maintained our social media presence. We are looking forward to planning some Thanksgiving service events!
