Goodbye from IP LTG!
Aloha Purple Penguins! I hope you all are doing well and staying safe during these unpredictable times! This will be my last official letter to you all :( I just wanted to thank you all for making this term the best experience! You have each inspired me with your spirit, initiatives, and passion for service. I can truly say that we have worked diligently to allow the Division we serve and Key Club to truly SHINE (through serving, helping, illuminating the voices of others, nurturing, and educating). We have REACHED NEW HEIGHTS this term. Together, we have raised over 3.2k service hours, doubled our fundraising goal by raising more than $12.8k, and served our homes, schools, and communities. I am so so proud of us! When I first joined Key Club in my sophomore year, I was lost, struggling to call the Bay Area my home. However, Key Club gave me a community of like-minded peers, a passion for service, and, most importantly, an Ohana and family with the Purple Penguins of Division 34 South. From my first FRN to being inducted as LTG, I have loved every minute of my Key Club experience. It feels surreal that this chapter has closed for me, but I hope each of our members, officers, and leaders can continue to inspire future and current Key Clubbers. If you are a first-year member of Key Club, I urge you to continue to stay involved and pursue leadership opportunities! Inspire others to begin their Key Club journeys. I will be cheering you on, always <3 With that, I would like to thank you all again for allowing me the honor of serving you this term as your Lieutenant Governor. If you ever have any questions, need advice, or just want to talk to someone, please feel free to contact me.
Waddling in Service, REBECCA PAN
Goodbye from IP DNE!
Hey Key-uties! Welcome to my last newsletter! This past term has been a blast. I've been able to record all our ups, downs, and most exciting moments this term and looking back makes me feel nostalgic. There were a lot of nights of stressing out about organizing events or trying to finish registration, but I'm happy I joined Key Club because I was able to learn so much and meet key-uties I wouldn't have met without Key Club. I wish I could've gotten involved earlier, so here's my advice to you! Be open to trying something new or challenge yourself to do something out of your comfort zone. No matter what mistake you may or may not make, you'll come out with more experience! Anyways, I've had the honor to work with Alayna on this recap issue. I can't wait to see how she'll do this upcoming term! I'm also very excited what LTG Cheryl and the rest of y'all will accomplish during this time of turmoil and chaos. Please stay safe during the pandemic and take action for what you believe in! #BLM

Hello from LTG! Hello Hello Purple Penguins! My name is Cheryl Bai and I am ecstatic to serve as your 2020-21 Division 34 South Lieutenant Governor! I am a junior from Monta Vista and you might know me from serving as an executive assistant for the division or Monta Vista's co-vice president last term. Key Club has been an incredible experience in all my years in high school so far. Last term in particular has a special place in my heart. Serving as executive assistant and vice president truly helped me grow as a person, whether my leadership skills, time management, or simply my love for Key Club. I am also extremely proud of Division 34 South - from the guidance of mama penguin Rebecca Pan, we have 3.2k service hours, $12.8k raised for PTP, and nearly 300 dues paid members! All of these figures are incredible and I am so proud of what we accomplished. I hope you all give your warmest of "thank you's" to Rebecca, and wish her good luck in college!
Waddling in Service, CHERYL BAI
Hello from DNE! Hello Key-ute Penguins! My name is Alayna Lee and I am super excited to serve you as your 2020-2021 Division News Editor! I am currently a sophomore at Mountain View High School and have been apart of Key Club for almost two years now. After all of this time, Key Club has meant so much to me because of how we choose to passionately serve our community and embrace what we do. Now, I find a purpose to serve. I choose to help this club because to grow as a community means to support the people within it, and those moments mean everything. As for this newsletter, I hope you guys enjoy reading through the recap of the wonderful events and achievements we've reached last term. I'm so sad that we weren't able to spend the end of the 20192020 term together, but I hope that this newsletter is able to remind you of all the goals we've reached and some new service projects you can do while staying quarantined. Thank you all for sticking with us during this troubling time, and I hope to see you all soon in upcoming events and newsletters.
Waddling in Service, ALAYNA LEE
