Letters to the Division LETTER FROM LTG Welcome to the June Newsletter! Happy SUMMER! Hope you all are doing well and did great on your finals and APs. We’ve officially made it through our first month of the 2019-2020 term! Now that finals are over, it’s officially SUMMER, we did it everyone :) With the summer also comes opportunities to get ahead, prepare for the year ahead, and to continue to be involved in Key Club! I’m excited to work with each of you whether it’s for club visitations, preparing for FRN, leadership training, or anything else! Speaking of Leadership and Key Club training, I hope to see you all at Division 34 South and Division 34 North’s 2019 Key Club Training Conference: How Far We’ll Serve on Saturday, June 8th from 11AM4PM at Burton Park in San Carlos! You will be able to attend insightful and informative workshops, meet people from throughout Division 34, play fun games, eat yummy food (as it’s included), and attend our Division Council Meeting for the month! If you ever have any questions or just want to talk, please feel free to contact me via the information on the last page of this newsletter!

LETTER FROM DNE Hey penguins! I'm very excited to serve you as your 20192020 term Division News Editor. I'm a rising senior at Homestead High School. Even though I've only been in Key Club for a little more than a year, I've grown to love the club and what it has taught me. I just want to share that if you are not an officer in your home club, I want you to know that you can also create a difference within your home club, division, or even district. To do that as a member, step up to take on positions that no one would. It may seem scary at first or like a waste of time, but by showing that you are able to do something that others aren't willing to do, you gain respect for that. So as your Division News Editor for the next term, I aim to help spread the word about tips and tricks to help you have a successful chapter in your Key Club journey!

Waddling in Service, ANNABELLE LAW

MAY DIVISION COUNCIL MEETING (DCM) Our 2019-2020 Term Division Leadership Team:

On May 4th, 2019, Division 34 South had their LTG Banquet and May DCM. This year's theme was "The Great D34S Banquet" (inspired by the Great Gatsby)! At the DCM, we enjoyed dinner and taking photos. After dinner, newly elected LTG Rebecca Pan also announced the new term's Division Leadership Team (left). Afterwards, we reflected on the past term with IP LTG Sadhana Sarma. She presented awards to clubs, officers, and members for their hard work this past term. We are so excited to continue making progress with the division!

Spotlight On Service Program (SOSP) The CNH Spotlight on Service Program was created by the Service Projects Committee to promote International and District initiatives as well as to encourage active participation with organizations/initiatives. The Service Projects Committee will provide monthly guides that include tips and ideas on how clubs can complete the monthly service initiatives. June's spotlight is on Health & Safety. Try orienting volunteer events and service projects around promoting a heathy and safe lifestyle. Â Showcase your club's unique service projects that positively impact your home, school, and community by submitting articles/visuals to the District. Your service projects can be showcased on the District Newsletter. Receive recognition and inspire someone with your creative project ideas. Contact LTG Rebecca Pan or your officers for more information.
