As you will quickly learn there are lots of options. You should consider enlisting the services of a professional wedding planner. At the very least, consider hiring a day-of planner, to help coordinate the many details of the wedding day. How can a wedding planner help you? They are familiar with the wedding professionals in the market, they have worked at many of the reception facilities and directed in many of the local churches. This knowledge is part of what you need to help plan your wedding and to make the right decisions. Your engagement and wedding will be one of the most exciting times in your life. With all the time and money involved with your wedding, a professional wedding planner can guide you through the decisions and details with grace and ease. And with all this planning and expectations for your wedding day, having someone else to make sure it runs smoothly will help you enjoy the day stress free.

I’ve always loved that the very best photographs are the ones that we could never have planned for. And this got me to thinking - what is it about weddings that cause so much emotion? And in the end I have decided that it is simply because family is important. Relationships are important. Love is important. Memories - life changing, crazy fun, heartfelt memories - they are important!

TIPS TO GET
THE MOST OUT OF
THE PINK BRIDAL SHOWS www.ThePinkBride.com
Create a wedding email address:
Bring a sheet of peel ‘n stick mailing labels:
This is a must do. Do not use your personal email address. You will receive lots of emails about your wedding and you want them all in one central place. Plus, after the wedding you simply never check your wedding email address again.
Many of the exhibitors will have in- booth registrations. On your label include your wedding date, your name and wedding email address. This will save you time!!
Show specials:
Many of the show exhibitors offer show specials the day of the show for brides ready to book. If you have done your research you may just snag a savings. Keep in mind vendors are not as busy during the fashions shows, so if you have your dress, use this time to talk one-on-one.
What to wear?
Comfortable shoes and layers of clothes in case it is too hot or too cold.
Come to the show ready to book or at least make an appointment: What do you still need for your wedding?
Go online to www.ThePinkBride.com and under the SHOWS tab click on your city. Then scroll down the category listings and review the exhibitors who will be showcasing at the show and link to their sites. Doing your homework prior to the show and having questions to ask exhibitors can help you be efficient and less stressful while at the show.
The Pink Bridal Show is like a wedding mall for the day. This allows you the chance to see lots of exhibitors without having to drive all over town. If you are not sure about signing a contract at the show, at least book an appointment. Why? You are not the only bride getting married and if you have decided on an exhibitor better secure your date before it’s taken by another bride. You do not want to be disappointed.
Can my Groom come?
YES – YES – YES. It is a great time to start making some decisions and clearly you want him to be part.
How long will I be at the show?
Assuming you still have needs, you can plan on 2-3 hours easily. There is so much to see and so many great ideas. Taking notes is a good idea so you can remember the important thoughts from the vendors you connected with at the bridal show.
Come and Enjoy yourself at The Pink Bridal Shows!! www.ThePinkBride.com Tickets are available online or at the door. If you have any specific questions call the Pink Bride office 865.531.3941 The Pink Bridal Shows are a lot of fun and a great opportunity to help you make good choices.

Six Steps to Choosing
Your Wedding Cake Always, always, always do cake tastings!
Know how many guests are planning to attend.
A cake can look beautiful and still taste horrible. Taste each baker’s cake prior to placing a deposit!
Once you have your guest count, your baker can tell you how many tiers your cake should have. If you want to save the top tier, you may need an additional or larger tier.
Look around at different styles and designs, and have an idea of how you want your cake to look before you meet with your baker to nail down a design. Have two or three ideas available to discuss, and see what his or her opinion is on the best style and design for your guest count.
Choose the shape of each tier next or decide upon a design from step two. Your baker may provide multiple options for tier shapes if you would like to build a custom look, or you can begin discussing what you love about the designs you found.
Be aware of food allergies. Do you or your future hubby have a food allergy of some sort? Be sure to tell your baker about any allergies or dietary restrictions you may have before going further.
Choose your cake flavors, fillings, and icing! Keep in mind that your baker may suggest using fondant for certain cake designs or outdoor weddings. This could change how much your cake costs as well as the way your cake tastes, so be aware of this before moving forward. Once that is settled, choose which flavor, filling, and icing combo is just perfect for you!

TIPS TO MAKE YOUR
Hair Sparkle ON YOUR WEDDING DAY!
1 HIRE A PROFESSIONAL.
We know some of your are very good at styling hair but hiring a professional is the way to go; especially for your wedding day.
2 DO YOU COLOR YOUR HAIR?
Make sure you talk to your stylist at least 6 months prior to your wedding. This will allow you and your stylist to achieve the perfect color on your big day.
3 OUTDOOR WEDDING?
Be sure to choose a hair style that can take the heat. Also be sure to use lots of hair spray (Maybe have one of your bridesmaids keep some hair spray with them at all times to fix any hair that might be falling).
4 PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT.
Be sure to set an appointment with your stylist a few weeks before your wedding. Use this time to share hair ideas with your stylist. This will help you see what you will look like on your wedding day and allows the hair stylist a little practice before the big day!
5 WANT TO BE SURE YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Be sure to start using a deep conditioner at least three months before your wedding. Ask your stylist for tips on which conditioner is best for your hair.
6 KEEP IT DIRTY.
Many times hair stylists like to work with dirty hair when styling. Dirty hair can often help the hair style last longer.
7 HAIR CHOICES.
Having trouble settling on one hair style? Try one for your wedding day and another for bridal shots or day after wedding shots.
8 VEIL OR NO VEIL?
This seems to be the big question facing the modern bride. This is your wedding day and only opportunity to wear a veil so why not wear one of the ceremony and switch to a beautiful hair piece or hair jewelry for the reception.
9 BE SURE TO BRING ALL YOUR HAIR ACCESSORIES TO YOUR TRIAL RUN.
This includes your veil and jewelry! You will want to see how this compliments your hair style.
10 CHOOSING THE RIGHT HAIRSTYLE FOR YOU!
You want to look naturally beautiful on your wedding day. If you don't wear you hair up then DO NOT wear it up on your wedding day! Start with your favorite everyday look and let your stylist take charge! Adapted from somethingturquoise.com
