Thursday 19 February 8pm Forty years ago it seemed that women were about to take their rightful place in the world, in parliament, in the church, in the judiciary, in the workplace but when you open your newspaper you find that news is still made by men in suits. As soon as girls accept the size, role and shape of adult women, they begin to disappear. With each stage of their lives, as they become successively wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, they become less visible. Germaine Greer attempts to suggest some strategies for change. TICKETS: £15.50 DISCOUNTS: Concessions £13.50

The Dublin Legends Friday 20 February 7.30pm In 2012 the Legendary Irish Folk group The Dubliners celebrated 50 years in the music business by receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, followed up with a sell-out UK concert tour. Sadly they subsequently suffered a body blow with the sudden tragic death of founding member “Banjo” Barney McKenna. John Sheahan, after 48 years of touring, decided it was time to step off the tour bus and it was agreed that The Dubliners would come to an end. The Dublin Legends were born. The Dublin Legends continue the legacy started by Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Ciaran Bourke, Barney McKenna & John Sheahan back in 1962. As Barney himself said “It’s Too Late To Stop Now”.
