When did you stumble across the miraculous world of Platelet Rich Plasma?

I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas, then my Dental degree at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1992 The next year my new husband and I, a dentist, bought a practice in Sugar Land, Texas We have been in practice for 30 years I retired from the clinical practice of dentistry in 2018. The following year I opened C and C Wellness.

DR. THERESA CODY

Dr Theresa Cody graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental School in 1992 Through her years practicing dentistry, she learned about the powerful potential of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to promote healing in bone graft surgery That experience prompted her to establish the C and C Wellness Center in Sugar Land in 2019 The astonishing improvements in clients’ health inspired her to write You Healing You

PRP has been used in dentistry for over 30 years It has been used in conjunction with bone grafts. Bone grafting is necessary for dental implants to be successful PRP naturally clots and is placed in extraction sites as a perfect natural band aid Post operative pain is severely reduced, and most patients do not need any pain medication.

After the blood is spun, it separates into two portions; the red blood cells fall to the bottom of the tube because they are heavier and the plasma floats on top The plasma is pipetted off, and then the plasma is used for aesthetics and in areas that are injured The plasma contains at least 15 growth factors that direct the healing process in the body. The growth factors are the directors of the healing process They ensure processes like cell division, proliferation, differentiation, and survival

Share your background and the C and C Wellness Center.

PRP is especially helpful in healing ligaments and tendons It has been used in equine medicine for many years Ligaments and tendons do not get much blood flow, so these growth factors help to heal tears and strains.

We have treated hips, shoulders, wrists, thumbs (due to arthritis), and knees.

Can you share a few success stories?

We also use PRP as an esthetic treatment of the skin on the face It improves skin texture, reduces pore size, stimulates collagen, melasma disappears or is reduced, reduces wrinkles, and creates a healthy glow

Through a sequence of extraordinary events in 2018, I discovered the healing power of Platelet Rich Plasma outside of the mouth. My hairdresser had trigger fingers from the repetitive motion of cutting and blow drying hair She was going to get a second steroid shot, and I convinced her to try PRP She recovered so quickly that I decided to research and discover everything about PRP.

When you scrape your knee, the platelets begin the clotting and form the scab, and then the growth factors direct the rest of the healing process For example, one growth factor attracts stem cells while another directs the stem cells in what type of cell they will become skin, collagen, blood vessel, etc

It directs the healing process in the body The 15 growth factors are the directors of the healing process.

Everyone has this priceless gift. However, most are unaware of its amazing healing powers, leading me to write my book, You Healing You My passion is to introduce others to the multiple health benefits of PRP treatments

What does it do?

One success story is a gentleman who had injured his rotator cuff in his shoulder about 10 years ago He reported that he had not slept through the night at that time. After 1 PRP treatment, his shoulder healed, and he has full range of motion But the most miraculous part is that he is sleeping through the night

Another case is a woman who came in with plantar fasciitis, which are microtears of the fascia in the foot The foot is very painful upon awakening and taking the first few steps in the morning. We treated the foot with PRP, and in approximately 6 weeks, all her pain had disappeared

What has been the most rewarding part of your entrepreneurial journey thus far?

The most rewarding part of my entrepreneurial journey is having a platform to teach others about spirituality and helping them on the journey to loving themselves more No matter how flawed a person ’ s past may be, it’s always a way to be better Self awareness is an important part of life

When someone can take the time to learn themselves at their root, their possibilities to do and accomplish things become limitless

ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT

A pretty woman who hustles is a woman who is aware of her power She doesn’t allow life’s obstacles to stop her desire to be better She doesn’t make excuses She simply sets her eyes on her goals and accomplishes them while upholding morals and standards. It is also a woman that knows how to uplift and empower other women without tearing them down or believing that one is better than the other It is a woman who isn’t perfect but holds her head high and is willing to break any barriers, be different, and challenge the world

I was raised in a Christian environment and was taught anything outside of that was evil Initially, I was ignorant and unwilling to open up until life hit me hard I learned that spirituality and ATRs aren’t what most people or the movies portrayed them to be I worked up enough courage to book my first tarot reading; it was life changing There I found my path It’s scary because most people are still unaccepting of it, but on my journey through spirituality, I found happiness, peace, self love, and so much more, so I decided to share my journey with others and inspire them to do the same. Don’t be afraid to take a leap and do what feels right

Stormi is a single mom of two, a military veteran, and the owner of The MagicK Tree The MagicK Tree is an online spiritual and metaphysical store that offers a wide variety of spiritual items and will soon offer spiritual readings. Stormi began her spiritual journey roughly 5 years ago and decided to help others learn and grow spiritually along with her She often shares life’s trials and tribulations through social media in an effort to assist others in knowing there’s always light at the end of the tunnel Her main purpose is to aid both women and men in learning self love and self awareness Her motto is “If you take care of the root, you will heal the tree,” meaning if you take care of yourself at the core, everything else in life will begin to blossom and fall into place Your foundation has to be strong to continue to build.

I lost myself a few years ago and was determined to become a better me, so I prayed, read endless books, reached out to people who practiced spirituality, and began to feel at home

They can expect to purchase a variety of spiritual and metaphysical items They can also read lifestyle blogs and basic spiritual articles, how to begin the journey, and what it means to be free

I hope to excel in this area because it means a lot to me I want people to know and understand their history and what spirituality means, so I would love to open a brick and mortar and teach in person classes about spirituality along with offering self care services.

Her amateur sleuth thriller series features the sister duo, Jade and Sage The Unravelling and the sequel, Dealer’s Child, were both Canadian Book Club Awards finalists She is working on book three Joanna is proud of her podcast, JCVArtStudio, and the many artists and authors she’s interviewed Her motorcycle illustrations have been purchased worldwide

What led you to your fascination with writing mysteries?

AUTHOR JOANNA VANDER VLUGT

Joanna Vander Vlugt is an author and illustrator. As a teenager, she drew charcoal portraits and wrote mysteries Her short mysteries Egyptian Queen and The Parrot and Wild Mushroom Stuffing were published in Crime Writers of Canada mystery anthologies Her essay, “No Beatles Reunion,” was published in the Dropped Threads 3: Beyond the Small Circle anthology

Well, actually, as a child, I hated to read. My mother encouraged my sister to find me a book that I would enjoy reading My sister found a children’s series called The Bobbsey Twins, and that children’s series was a game changer I couldn’t put those books down; at 13, I wanted to write my own stories and create my own books The first book I created was with construction paper As I grew up, so did my taste in books I read a few Agatha Christie novels and every book written by Dick Francis.

Amateur Sleuth Thriller Series: The Unravelling and the Sequel Dealer’s Child Both Win Canadian Book Club Awards Finalists

By Jules Lavallee

Egyptian Queen was inspired by a small restaurant/café on the Malahat on Vancouver Island What did you enjoy the most about writing The Parrot and Wild Mushroom Stuffing?

I was a fitness instructor and personal trainer, and when I saw a fellow personal trainer standing by her motorcycle, she looked so empowering and cool. She was so happy to have me illustrate her It’s going to sound nerdy, but when I look at a photo of a bike, and if I can see purple in the tires or in the gas tank, that is so cool to illustrate. I use Copic markers, and they are the perfect medium

I didn’t know it then, but I enjoyed fashion illustrations. I had stopped drawing for approximately 30 years simply because life happened.

I thought it would be neat to feature a heroine who was a meat wrapper who finds herself pulled into the mystery of the death of a Scarlet Macaw named Marco Polo

Your Woman Empowered motorcycle art series has been featured in online art and motorcycle magazines. Tell us about your work and where your inspiration comes from. Since I was thirteen, my art has always been wrapped up in a story As a teenager, I drew when I wasn’t writing my stories I enjoyed drawing the supermodels of the ‘80s and actors. I especially enjoyed drawing clothing I didn’t know it then, but I enjoyed fashion illustrations I had stopped drawing for approximately 30 years simply because life happened.

I hoped my short story was a tribute to individuals working in retail during the holiday season They really do put up with a lot of abuse My spouse has seen people fighting over turkeys

The action and adventure in The Bobbsey Twins to the fast pace of Dick Francis’s novels are the characteristics of my novels I love writing action scenes

Your amateur sleuth thriller series features the sister duo, Jade and Sage. Tell us about The Unravelling and what you admire the most about this duo.

I had tried when I was 28 to draw a model, and I was so disappointed that I had lost that “ eye ” that I threw the drawing away It was through the encouragement of a friend that I started drawing again. At that time,

Tell us about your short mysteries, Egyptian Queen and The Parrot and Wild Mushroom Stuffing. Both stories take place on Vancouver Island The Parrot and Wild Mushroom Stuffing was inspired by hearing the stories from my husband of the abuse retail employees endure during the holiday season

They’re a vigilante justice society Jade and her sister, Sage, expose this society after Jade finds her ex husband murdered I enjoy showing the sister relationship, which may sometimes be tumultuous, but at those crucial moments, you know your sister has your back and will come through for you

Both The Unravelling and Dealer’s Child were Canadian Book Club Award finalists. Why are these books resonating with audiences?

I hope it’s the action Male readers enjoy the novels as well as female readers. I love writing action scenes Jade is flawed, she questions herself, but she is compassionate and believes in justice. Jade will put her life and career at risk to expose the truth I also have a little humour, especially in the chapters involving Jade’s mother

Your much anticipated book 3 is in the works. Can you offer us a glimpse?

Now Available

I wrote The Unravelling in 1999. I had a 20 year break from writing After my mother passed, I dug out that manuscript, worked with an editor, and re wrote it I enjoyed featuring a flawed female lawyer who works as a prosecutor uncovering a secret justice society that kills people who are found not guilty of crimes

The third novel is Spy Girl Jade is thrown into an extremely dangerous situation in the world of espionage and organ trafficking Because she is a lawyer and must remain impartial, she finds herself the subject of a Law Society complaint She has to decide if she will play it safe and look the other way or risk her career and life to expose an organ trafficking ring. I have a few spies in this story, including a mom, and the reader will be wondering if the mom is good or evil

What can we expect in the sequel Dealer’s Child? Dealer’s Child and The Unravelling have paranormal elements but also showcase girl power In Dealer’s Child, Jade realizes that her upbringing, the family unit she grew up with, was a lie. When a drug dealer is murdered, and he leaves a confessional about his crimes and his relationship with Jade’s mother, Jade realizes that her mother led a double life that she kept hidden from her daughters

Marketing Ideas For Small Business:

Improve Your Website

There are a lot of marketing ideas for small businesses that can be used to get more customers In this article, I will share with you 7 tips I have learned as a small business owner.

01.

7 Tips On How To Get More Customers

If your website is not mobilefriendly, it won’t attract many customers The same is true if your website doesn’t load quickly or has a lot of bugs and errors.

03.

Hire a Virtual Assistant

Hire a Professional Photographer 05. 06. 07.

One of the best ways to attract new customers is having professional photos of your products. If you don’t have the money to hire a professional photographer, you can use your own camera and take the photos yourself. You will need a well-lit area with no shadows or glare on the product The background should be plain and not distracting. You can use a white background or a solid color

Create a Blog

You can hire a virtual assistant to help you with social media marketing. This is a great way to get started, especially if you ’ re just starting out and don’t have a lot of money to spend. You can hire someone based in another country, so you don’t have to pay high hourly rates for someone in your own country.

If you have an eye for design, you can do your own graphics However, if you don’t have the time or the talent, you can hire a designer to do it for you. Designers charge anywhere from $50 to $500 or more per hour, depending on their experience and the complexity of the graphics

If you ’ re an expert in your field, then writing a book is a great way to share your knowledge with the world If you ’ re an expert in some field, then chances are that you have a ton of knowledge about it and are just waiting for someone to ask you about it You can sell it on Amazon; they’ll even print it for you if you want.

Hire a Professional Designer

Create a blog for your business This is a great way to keep people interested in what you ’ re doing and also allows you to write about your industry. If you have a product or service that you want to promote, then it’s an excellent way to do so

Creating social media accounts is free and allows you to communicate directly with your current and future customers. They also allow you to keep up with the latest trends in your industry.

Owner and Creator of Le’Ray’s Medical Scrubs, Fashionable Scrubs That Fit Everyone

I had the pleasure of speaking with Angel Sawyer, the CEO and creator of “Le’Ray’s Medical Scrubs ” Angel created the name Le’Ray’s through the inspiration of her mother and daughter’s middle name which is Le’Ray Angel has always told herself when she started her business that their middle name would be the perfect name for her business and she stood by her promise that she made to them

What inspired me was my entrepreneurial mindset I felt like I was holding myself back from my true self when I would clock in for others I would watch the clock and think, “It's so much I want to do and can't do while fulfilling someone else's dream ”

While working in the medical field, I hated my choices when shopping for scrubs Nothing fit my personality, nothing looked right for my small frame, and a lot of the material was horrible and uncomfortable

What inspired the start of “Le’Ray’s Medical Scrubs?”

My greatest achievement thus far was stepping out of my comfort zone and meeting new people whom I plan to continue to work with and learn from

I realized a need for my scrubs when I would wake up every day and see my target crowd complaining about the price of scrubs and the styles available

In 3 5 years, my goal is to own multiple stores and help those in need with items needed to attend medical school. I have found a lot of times that money can get tight while in school, and students are stressed about uniforms and other items for class

A pretty woman who hustles does not come from your looks To me, it comes from the soul She is a woman who doesn't let anything or anyone dim her light A pretty woman who hustles knows every day won't be easy, but she shows up to face the good and the bad that comes with it

Describe your brand in four words

What can customers expect when shopping with Le’Ray’s Medical Scrubs?

The challenge I faced during this process was the rise in the price of products. My shipping shot up due to the rise of gas prices, getting great and dependable manufacturers, and losing inventory

CREATING SPACE FOR PUBLICISTS WITH CANDICE NICOLE

B

Producers, reporters, and journalists have their own Twitter pages, allowing the public to send them tips on an event immediately. I love how attributes of public relations like the media continue to evolve, but some of those traditional aspects like properly using a press release are still great tactics for today.”

Her hardworking hustle has allowed her to level the playing field on her terms. She has created her own framework for her life and profession without asking for a seat at the table. Here’s what Candice Nicole shared with Pretty Women Hustle Magazine about public relations, assisting other professionals, building relationships, and what hustle means to her:

Part of the reason I’ve been able to sustain myself and remain successful is I continue researching and reading. I listen and converse with my peers within the industry, and I partake in PR spaces and courses. Paying attention to marketing, branding, social media, and PR trends grants me the insight of relevancy.

Candice Nicole is the proud Founder and CEO of her firm, Candice Nicole Public Relations. She has maintained her success while also educating other professionals on the pros and cons of public relations. “There are individuals out there who are honest about their work and truly care about the industry and people within, yet so many do not respect the hardworking,” exclaims Candice Nicole. “It is extremely important, especially for the Black and Brown community, to present yourself properly and check your facts before you enter a room,” Candice continues.

“It has evolved tremendously, especially when you think about former times when the PR individual used to be strictly behind the scenes making things happen. They typed and printed bios, transferred videos to VHS tapes or CDs, and printed out photoshoot pictures to mail to media outlets. PR professionals are coming to the forefront with their everyday content, tips, and strategies due to the power of social media today. Social media provides news instantly so those experts within that industry can chime in on the matter. It has morphed into something easily accessible on both the public and media sides

“I’m not afraid to reinvent myself, and I’m also not afraid of change. Within my professional life, I’ve been able to adapt to every twist and turn of this industry’s tomorrow. I understand that nothing will stay the same forever, and in this industry, you have to be open to that change and that growth.

How have you managed to maintain success throughout the ever-changing industry?

It’s Black Business Month, and it’s a time for celebration. Entrepreneurship is no small task and praising those who have risen to the occasion is necessary. It’s an even bigger cause for celebration when minority business owners exceed the ever growing hurdles often stacked ahead of them. For Candice Nicole, she has successfully overcome many business obstacles to remain firm in her industry of public relations. Candice has even managed to mentor other public relations professionals and entrepreneurs to assist them in achieving their greatness.

How has public relations evolved throughout the years?

Thankfully, we have a front row seat to see Candice’s hustle in full bloom. Her advocacy is commendable as she lends a helping hand to help others grow into their full potential. As a minority business owner, Candice Nicole, is setting the bar high! Her accolades are highlights of the Black Girl Magic that shines from within her. Connect with Candice Nicole to continue to see her magic shine through. Stay up to date with this boss mogul by visiting https://www.candicenicolepr.com/ and following @candicenicolepr on Instagram and Twitter.

“I casually shared a personal thought on either Facebook or Twitter regarding PR pros and cons and how we ’ re treated. Naturally, I hashtagged “respect the publicist,” which started the conversation. By creating this Facebook group of now 2400+ people, I’ve welcomed other publicists who look like me and beyond to express their everyday victories and frustration that we all face in the industry.”

Writer, C. Scott, is a mompreneur, author, MSW, and freelancer who can be followed on Instagram as @curls coils

What inspired your start of the Facebook group “Respect the Publicist”?

“I love the term hustle because it’s who I am and what I do. I’m aware that others have mixed feelings about the term due to the negative connotation of being schemed out of money or possessions, but it has become a positive attribute. I view the word hustle as someone who is super focused, resilient, and willing to make sacrifices to reach their goals. This person will always remain humble while elevating within their careers. That hustle will continue your starvation for success. Once you tap into the hustle side of you, nothing and no one will be able to stop you.

Many don’t realize that public relations is about building relationships. What advice would you give to entrepreneurs and publicists on relationship building?

“My Facebook group, “Respect the Publicist,” is a great community to join for support from your fellow peers.

What does the term hustle mean to you?

As a PR professional, knowing the current status of those different pockets is important to create a powerful PR impact with your client or your project.”

“My advice would be to be intentional with your relationship building. Refrain from making every interaction with a media professional or another industry individual with an ending objective. Don’t congratulate someone on their new position just so you can send them a media pitch next week. Make each and every exchange genuine, whether it’s in person or via social media. Also, with it being 2022, be mindful of the stress that everyone is under. Many are dealing with anxiety and stress, so a simple check in with those people will go a long way for that relationship. Have clarity on that specific person you are pursuing a relationship with by sending them a warm introduction email complimenting them on their work and offering a helping hand whenever needed. It takes two seconds to share, tweet, and forward someone else’s work. Once that person sees your support, they will be willing to connect with you. ”

What resources are available for entry level and even seasoned PR professionals?

I wanted other PR professionals to have a space where they feel 100% respected and uplifted especially working in an industry that may not be respected by many. Please do not forget about Boutique PR agencies like CNPR that are always willing to spread knowledge to those willing to learn. Research learning opportunities like internships and courses that will give you hands on experience. Also, do not hesitate to contact a publicist for mentorship or consultations. Be willing to pay someone for their time and knowledge if you are determined to succeed.”

Try separating yourself from others and become in tune with yourself for a change.

CEO Divine Boutique

LaKeisha DeShazor

SodivineBoutique.com

On June 1st of this year, she launched her new passion and a non profit organization called Girl, MOVE

LaKeisha DeShazor is a woman of many talents and gifts She is a wife, mom, minister, certified life coach, co author, and CEO She is mostly known as the owner of Divine Boutique It is a boutique that was established in 2013 and, over the years, has continued to grow and succeed LaKeisha uses her gift of fashion to style and builds confidence in women of all shapes and sizes by offering a boutique that sells modest yet fashionable and classy apparel Shopping at her store is an experience She currently operates two brick and mortar Divine Boutique locations One is located in the Danville Mall in Danville, VA, and the second store location is in the Four Season Town Center in Greensboro, NC You can also find her boutique online @Sodivineboutique.com.

Girl, MOVE’s main focus is to help women who know they have greatness within them but who may feel stuck when it comes to pursuing it The mission is to help women gain the momentum needed to move out of those stuck places and fulfill their destinies They focus on four primary areas of life that women often get stuck in or struggle with balancing They are SPIRITUAL (feeding the soul), PHYSICAL (getting healthier), BUSINESS (making boss moves), and SELF (learning self love and self care ) In three months, and with a dynamic team to assist her, Girl, MOVE has grown to over 109 members and counting.

She is the creator of the Run Your Business Sis mentorship program, where she helps other entrepreneurs learn the steps to starting and maintaining a great business.

One of my greatest prayers is that God teaches me how to balance and always gives me the strategy to make sure it all works.

When entering the doors of Divine Boutique, what can customers expect? Describe the experience. They can expect to be greeted with a smile and uplifted in many ways It could be by the vibrant purple and gold brand colors reminding each woman that she’s royalty, or the positive, uplifting music that is playing, the quotes and beautiful scriptures placed strategically throughout the store and dressing rooms. In whatever way we can, we leave a little sparkle and light for our ladies. This is definitely not your typical store experience

Yes, the main reason I started coaching other women is because when I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2013, I felt so limited by resources and support And because of it, I made so many mistakes and, at times, felt like I missed great opportunities. I don’t want another woman on this journey to experience some of those same feelings because she doesn’t have support. So I mentor and coach women on the basics first of how to run a successful business because so many miss the essentials. Then we work on marketing, sustainability, and making sure they have longevity in this business

Girl, Move is a movement within itself God gave me this vision in 2019 and for so many reasons I didn’t act upon it At the end of 2021, He reminded me again, and this time I started working In the past 3 months that we have been operational, we have over 100 women who have joined and been impacted by Girl, Move In 3 5 years, I see Girl, Move on a national platform and women from all over having a safe place, a sisterhood of like minded women coming together to be motivated, inspired, healed, and getting the confidence they need to be who they were created to be, to help change the world.

You are also an author and certified life coach. Can you tell us about your book?

When did you realize you held a passion for fashion?

Yes, I had an amazing opportunity to be a part of an amazing book called, Dear Young Woman, Readjust Your Crown This book is composed of stories compiled for serial women who have experienced life situations that could have devastated them but instead chose to adjust their crowns and keep going in the midst of trials, trauma, and difficulties This book tells real life stories of how we chose to win!

What inspired the name “Divine Boutique”?

I’ve always loved fashion I think what drove me to create Divine Boutique was when I was in my 30s, I noticed that it was so hard to find fashionable yet classy apparel for women like me, who were young and stylish, bosses, speakers, ministers, etc We didn’t want to wear club wear or revealing attire, but we also didn’t want to look like our mothers, lol. We desired sass, class, and modesty, and it was difficult to find that.

What has been the highlight of your business thus far?

I had this idea to dress women in a certain type of clothing that made them feel confident and classy I wanted it to be more than your typical store I wanted it to be where you could come and feel uplifted, inspired, and cute, all in the same space I prayed about my vision, and God gave me the name and the blueprint Divine means of God, created by God for God I want women to know that no matter their shape or size, they are beautifully made by Him My job is to help what is on the inside of them radiate on the outside through what they wear

The divine boutique brand has grown to now have several locations. How do you balance the physical stores and online demand?

You recently launched your non profit organization, Girl Move. Where do you hope to see this project in the next 3 5 years?

The highlight for me is getting to meet women from all walks of life On a daily basis, I never know who I will meet I pray that I have, on some level, left an impression and inspired them on their journey

One of my greatest prayers is that God teaches me how to balance and always gives me the strategy to make sure it all works I am thankful for my family, my employees, and my Girl, Move team that helps to make sure that everything works Without all of them and God’s grace, I know this wouldn’t work

You have a heart for helping entrepreneurs. Can you tell us about your mentorship program and how women can be apart?

FOUNDER/CEO OF TIME VALUE ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS SERVICES

Throughout her career, Michelle has provided expertise that has allowed for institutional growth, enhanced business efficiency, and greater profitability She works closely with small business owners to develop strategies to operate profitably and prepare for growth Michelle started Strategic Thinking for Profit as a podcast and is now taking it to a whole new level in reaching entrepreneurs everywhere, helping to level the playing field and increase wealth.

Michelle Campbell is the Founder/CEO of Time Value Accounting & Business Services, an exclusive accounting & advisory firm specializing in CFO Services and Advanced Tax Reduction Strategies for 6 and 7 figure businesses Under Michelle’s expert guidance, Time Value Accounting grew from a simple bookkeeping and accounting company into a multidisciplinary business services firm

The differentiation for Time Value is about how I want to serve clients, how I can contribute my skills towards the success of my clients, and what they are missing from other service providers The transformation from bookkeeping to the current model did not occur overnight, but there were some immediate changes that are the foundation of the business today These include providing services from a holistic perspective to include one price for a suite of services. No hourly billing.

The initial part of any monthly engagement is to review, strategize, and do any necessary clean up work to get client books into compliance. Our findings are laid out during the onboarding meeting

It is important that we develop an understanding of our expectations during this discovery phase Each side needs to determine if we are a good fit If we are, then upon selection of a service package and signing of the engagement letter, we will start immediately with the onboarding process. Once again, we try to make everything as easy for the client as possible

Take us through the process.

Time Value Accounting offers financial, managerial, and strategic expertise. Please share a client example.

You grew Time Value Accounting from a simple bookkeeping and accounting company into a multidisciplinary business services firm. How do you differentiate yourselves?

The foundation of Time Value Accounting & Business Services has three monthly subscription service offerings: Part time CFO Services, Growth Management Services, and our Starter Package. All subscriptions receive the Starter Package, which is robust and has everything needed from a compliance perspective

Our Part Time CFO package is the highest level of service we offer CFO Clients receive everything in the Starter and Growth Management Packages. At this level, we are in daily contact with our clients There is a different protocol that pertains to our CFO clients as they have unlimited access This access is necessary as we now oversee the client’s company ’ s financial management and strategic initiatives We are developing policies and procedures, raising capital through various means, negotiating with vendors, managing banking relationships, and managing HR and payroll issues.

Tell us about your background and what led you to launch Time Value Accounting

Our CFO Services and Growth Management packages add advisory and strategy components

I never imagined myself as a “normal” accountant My father is a lifelong accountant I graduated with a bachelor and master’s in finance and wanted to enter the exciting world of investments. I saw getting my Certified Management Accounting and Certified Public Accounting certifications as boosts to my resume My career took a turn and geared more towards the accounting side, but earlier positions held led me to eventually spearhead the management functions of both accounting and finance Starting Time Value Accounting & Business Services was just to earn a side income. I was incredibly happy at my job until a leadership change Then I was not so happy I decided to turn Time Value into my full time gig as I never wanted to go through that again

The goal is to partner with clients to help them grow their businesses When we meet with clients, we listen and ask pertinent questions to determine what we believe would be the right fit Although our CFO Services is our highest level, I will never recommend this to a client when it is not in their best interest I take immense pride in recommending a service that fits their needs and budget. Sometimes, I would suggest they are not yet ready for any of these particular services I may recommend consultations or my coaching program for entrepreneurs in those instances.

The foundation of Time Value is packages that contain everything a business owner needs to be in compliance with Federal and State agencies year round The top level packages introduce advisory services and CFO Services, which move Time Value from service provider status to strategic partner. We help businesses grow and be more profitable More importantly, helps business owners to free up their time to do what they want most in life

AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR AND FOUNDER OF THE AD-DIVA NETWORK FOR ADHD WOMEN 40-AND-BETTER

The ADDiva Network is online at http://addiva.net

"So many ADHD women put their dreams on hold because they think they need to get the closet cleaned out or their papers filed before they are allowed to move. "

LINDA ROGGLI

Linda Roggli is the creator of the ADHD Women’s Palooza, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), an award winning author, and founder of the A D Diva Network for ADHD women 40 and better. She is an internationally recognized expert in midlife and senior ADHD She co founded the ADHD Parents’ Palooza and launched the first ADHD Couples Palooza in 2021

Because women have different manifestations of ADHD than men, I always wanted to host an all women ’ s event After 9/11, it became apparent that an in person event would prove too costly, so I took the idea online. I invited the top experts who specialized in women ’ s ADHD, and they all agreed to share accurate, timely information with the world The ADHD Women’s Palooza launched in 2016, and we just completed the 7th Annual event. We have thousands of women who attend, and I insist on a live event at the end of the week long Palooza so that ADHD women can connect with each other live Sometimes just knowing that you aren’t the only “weird one ” makes all the difference

I had accommodated my ADHD all these years (47 of them) by working in deadline driven businesses (news, advertising, my own company) and by taking on one more project than I could really handle to keep myself busy and interested (paying attention) But the cost was high: I burned out and closed my advertising agency. I couldn’t trust myself to follow through even on things I enjoyed I felt guilty a lot of the time

I read in the parking lot, at stoplights on the way home, and devoured the book in two days It explained so much: why I was often late to appointments, why I started a lot of interesting projects but had trouble finishing them, why I was always scooting right up to the deadline with college assignments, why I was baking cookies at 10 am for my son ’ s class party at 10:30, and why I had perpetual piles(usually papers or clothes). It was the Aha moment that changed how I saw my life in retrospect

But as I say in the first line of my book, “I’ve stopped apologizing to doorknobs…” My apologies were on speed dial until I embraced my ADHD and stopped fighting it

Do you have any speaking engagements in the fall?

No one was more surprised than I when a couple’s counselor suggested I might have ADHD I literally laughed in his face, then realized he was serious. Determined to prove him wrong, I drove straight to the nearest bookstore and flipped through the book he recommended: “Driven to Distraction ” OMG I couldn’t get to the checkout line fast enough!

You are an internationally recognized expert in midlife and senior ADHD Share your backstory.

You have a cream of the crop lineup of experts, including Ned Hallowell, Terry Matlen, Sari Solden, and many more… What can we expect in your sessions?

I will be a featured expert at the International ADHD Conference in Dallas, Texas, where I will talk about Gardening as an ADHD treatment! I am also slated to be interviewed for several podcasts, including the first ADHD Entrepreneurs Summit later this fall

Truly, if the potential now lying latent and hidden in ADHD women were unleashed, we could change the world.

Tell us about the ADHD Women’s Palooza.

“Sea Change transforming your ADHD life” is about a deeper dive into your ADHD life So many ADHD women put their dreams on hold because they think they need to get the closet cleaned out or their papers filed before they are allowed to move in the direction of their hopes and desires. Sea Change asks women to take off the mask, let themselves be fully and beautifully present and open the stage for the next journey in their lives Kind of esoteric, I know, but transformation happens. Every. Single. Time. I am always surprised, delighted, and honored to witness it

Connect with Linda: http://addiva net http://adhdpalooza.com http://addivaretreats com

I discussed this previously, but my not so secret mission is to open the door to ADHD women, banishing traumatizing stigma around ADHD I dream of a day when an HR person says, “Oh no, our best ADHD person was hired away at twice the salary by our competition Find me another creative ADHD woman, I beg you!”

ADHD folks get bored easily, so I did NOT want a lecture series Instead, I interview the experts about their topic It’s a casual conversation rather than a PowerPoint lesson There is lighthearted banter along with deep, insightful information The ADHD Women’s Palooza airs in February each year, and we maintain an archive of recordings that touch on hormones, the Imposter Syndrome, ADHD treatment, ADHD women ’ s trauma, overcoming overwhelm, time management, high sensitivity, workplace issues, and many more

Tell us about the ADDiva women ’ s beach retreats scheduled for the fall.

What is the vision for the A D Diva Network for ADHD women 40 and better?

The beach retreat is all about thriving It doesn’t teach ADHD basics (you can find that in my two day online course ADHD 101 for Women); it doesn’t focus on accepting your ADHD (The Born to Be Extraordinary retreat does that)

She has been able to branch out into TV and radio, where she hosts “Love and Hips TV Show,” where one of her first guests was “HeadKrack” from the “Ricky Smiley Morning Show” and now the “Morning Hustle on Dish Nation ” Becoming an entrepreneur, she launched several businesses that include a T shirt line called “Beautifully Bold Woman,” where she creates inspiring shirts for bold and beautiful women who are not afraid to show their beauty and success no matter what size or shape they are in this industry

During this experience, she developed relationships with industry professionals (designers, photographers, makeup artists, etc ) After years of running from show to show and shoot to shoot, in 2014, Kimberly received the opportunity to work hand in hand with an LA Based Designer in Atlanta, Georgia, and became the face of Pretty Plus Girls of Atlanta

Kimberly Parks is an Atlanta based Full Figured Fashion Model and Entrepreneur who started her modeling journey in Atlanta, GA, and branched out in 2009 to work in the DMV.

She is grateful for many opportunities that have come her way in the fashion industry

She also owns Classage Boutique, which means “A Classy Life for a Savage Woman ” Her mission is to help recreate and style an image tailored to your inner beast

During this time, Kimberly was fortunate to work with new designers such as Vivian Dinkins, Lin Toi, Sharon Gary Dill Hackney, Denim, and Queen of Curves CEO, Calvin Johnson

To learn more about Classage Boutique, visit: www classageboutique com

When we got to the shoot, I met photographer Von Donald, who said he wanted to start a TV show called “Love and Hips,” and he wanted me and two of the other models to be the host of the show. “Love and Hips” highlights plus size, full figured, curvy models in every aspect of life We talk about food, politics, fashion, entertainment, love, and relationships

You now own multiple businesses. Can you share the message you hope women take away from your platform as a whole?

Take us back to your very first show. Can you describe the experience of preparing and watching your looks come to life?

The experience I felt for my first show with Classage was almost as beautiful as my sons ’ births I felt like a proud mom, accomplished and blessed It was my confirmation from God, letting me know that I can do all things through Christ as long as I trust him first and know that God didn’t give me the spirit of fear Sometimes we just got to jump out there If you fall, get back up and keep going That’s what I did

You have been all over the U.S. with your passion. What have you learned so far that you now take with you wherever you go? What I have learned so far is to learn how to just enjoy the ride and learn something from each event that I attend I’m very spiritual, so in everything I do, I start out with a prayer and ask God to cover me and my team…I put God first.

I used to model for all these designers, and sometimes they would put me in outfits that I was uncomfortable with or didn’t even go with my shape, but it was my job as a model to show off their designs, so that’s what I did, lol

The message I want to share with women is to not let society dictate what is beautiful and what is not Society says that being plus size or a BBW means you are unhealthy or you have low self esteem, or no one will take you seriously because you ’ re a woman of size, but that’s not true Everyone is beautiful, no matter if you ’ re a size 2 or 22, but it starts with loving yourself first God created us to be beautiful in our own unique ways. We are QUEENS, so we walk into ANY room as a queen, no matter what Never tilt your crown for anyone Always hold your head up high

I discovered I had a passion for the fashion industry when I was in my 20s I have always been a full figured woman, and I learned that you must dress according to your body type So, when I used to go out, people would say, “For you to be a plus size woman, you always know how to dress classy but sexy at the same time.” It was my passion to teach women even back then how you can still be sexy and be plus size, but it starts with loving yourself first

You can expect to see me on billboards, TV, radio, in magazines, fashion shows, community events, and whatever else God puts on my plate I will hold my head high and enjoy everything God has in store for me

You are known as one of Atlanta’s newest up and coming powerhouses. What can we expect to see from you next?

One of my model sisters, Toi, started her clothing line, and she was looking for models to help her get her line off the grown, so she asked me and four other ladies, so, of course, I accepted

When did you discover you had a passion for the fashion industry?

What can listeners expect when tuning into your show? Can you describe the vibe? Listeners can expect to hear a great interview from celebrity clients from all over the world. We will discuss relationship topics from how to please your mate to how it is to date as a full figured woman in Atlanta The vibe is always fun and entertaining and will keep you on your toes Each host has a different personality, so you never know what to expect

How did you get your start in the TV and radio industry? Tell us about your show, “Love and Hips.”

“I really feel music can take you to a totally different place and there is nothing else quite like it!”

Rising Star Chloey Rose Releases New Song, “Golden Sun”

by Jules Lavallee

Chloey Rose is a stunning and unique talent, a “Class Act” who can sing all genres of music ranging from Jazz, Country, Folk, Rock, Pop, R&B, and Musical Theatre to Classical. Chloey recently released her brand new single, “Hopes & Dreams,” on January 15, 2022, and is set to release her new single, “Golden Sun,” on August 12, 2022

Chloey's Music is available on all music streaming platforms such as Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, and many more!

As a songwriter, her debut single, “Golden Dreams,” was released in 2016, followed by many more, including “Hearts On The Line,” named Track Of The Week on BBC Radio Lincolnshire and A Best Track of 2021 She has performed across the UK at venues including Hackney Empire, The Grand, Institute of Directors Pall Mall London, York Grand Opera House, Hull City Hall, KCOM Stadium, Wembley & Old Trafford Conference Centres, Lincolnshire Showground, Market Rasen Racecourse, Grimsby Auditorium & P&O Mini Cruises to France and summer season in Spain.

Where do you get your inspiration for your songwriting?

Well, this last year has been a real mixture of performing, writing new music, and teaching drama! It has been great to perform live gigs again now that restrictions have been lifted with Covid I love the buzz of singing to live audiences! I am also proud to be a former Miss Lincolnshire and honoured to have been in the final of Miss Great Britain.

Where do you see your career in 2023?

What is important to you as a songwriter?

The most important thing for me as a songwriter is the desire to create music that will inspire and help others With every song, I always intend to share a message with the world. My songs attempt to work through significant moments in my life and those of others I have met They are often reflective learning from experience and reiterate the power of self belief. I feel as humans, we are all unique, and we should embrace that! I enjoy watching how a song transforms from basic chords on the piano or guitar to something magical When songwriting, I always maintain the mystery behind the lyrics, too, their deeper meaning remaining secret within my heart I feel it’s important for my songs to remain personal and meaningful to the listener, and I love to chat with supporters and hear their own interpretations of the songs I really feel music can take you to a totally different place and there is nothing else quite like it!

You’re releasing your brand new single, “Golden Sun,” on August 12. “Golden Sun” is described as a spellbinding acoustic pop summer ballad that is both soothing and uplifting in equal measure Tell us about the imagery Who will enjoy this song the most?

I hope to build on my current fanbase and receive national airplay on renowned radio stations in 2023. I am also hoping to attract music producers/supervisors as one of my ambitions is for my music to be played in films and dramas This would be a dream come true! I hope to perform in as many venues as possible next year and meet new supporters who can join the journey with me!

My dad introduced me to Kate Bush’s music at a young age, and when I first heard her, I knew she had this magical, unusual, captivating voice Seeing how much recognition she currently receives and how her music has been highlighted through the TV Strangers Things Series is amazing. Kate inspires me to strive to create my own sound and style without trying to be like anyone else

“Golden Sun” is a track that will appeal to pop lovers as well as those looking for new soul stirring acoustic melancholy to add to their Spotify playlists

For Chloey's music: linktr.ee/chloeyrosemusic

I am mainly inspired by the stories I hear, things I’ve experienced, and collaborating with other artists/producers. I am currently co writing new music with my musician friend Harry David and appreciate the continued support from Siren FM and BBC Introducing shows such as Radio Humberside to BBC Radio Lincolnshire It’s been amazing to carry on my journey and work with Harry as a team We both have similar goals and ideas we want to create. I also draw inspiration from artists such as the talented Kate Bush, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift

More than anything, I want people to be uplifted by the song and be inspired to be brave and become the best version of themselves and who they aspire to be The lyrics are informing listeners to not be afraid to step out of their fears which might hold them back, trapping them in the past, and walk forward, stepping out from the shadows into the Golden Sun This song has been described as soulful, soothing, uplifting, sunny, and a breath of fresh air! It’s the perfect soothing summer ballad!

Tell us about the refrain, Step right out of my life into the golden sun ” What emotions do you want people to feel?

Like a big romantic reveal moment in a film, ‘Golden Sun’ fills the listener with images of escapism and love lost and found. I can also imagine listeners playing this out in the sun or on a road trip!

You are setting the stage for superstardom. You were the Winner of UK Unsigned, your track, “Golden Dreams,” was named an Outstanding Track with BBC Introducing Humberside, and you were Awarded Most Talented Songwriter at Battle of the Bands Lincoln. Tell us about how your life has been a whirlwind in 2022 All these achievements have been amazing, and I am so grateful for the support from both UK Unsigned and many regional and national radio shows, including airplay in Spain and the Netherlands It’s been fab to receive recognition for my original songs, and I have many favourites.

PWH AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT

You have written many books. Share your recent book, Civility at Work, and your mission.

Cultural competence is one of the four key skills that underpin the ability to be civil, so we address aspects of diversity and inclusion I can say that choosing civility obligates individuals to honor and value all people equally, and so when you have a “people first” approach, aspects of inclusion flow naturally, and less debate on the topic is necessary To be included is about not judging others, about accepting others without necessarily knowing or understanding everything about them Civility training teaches courage to listen and to be curious Civility fosters respect and trust.

What are the underpinnings of civility?

We are still catching up with rescheduled training and speaking post Covid Many bookings over the past 2 years have been moved to 2022 2025 And we are working on a new children’s civility App And, of course, there is a new book (on Social Intelligence) in the works as well

This would be when I won the Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award for International Business (2012) The award was meaningful because it celebrated our success in helping other women in various countries start and succeed at their own civility and etiquette training businesses It was also particularly meaningful because my daughter Denby (10 at the time) and my husband, who had supported me for many years, were both at the awards

I have the privilege every day of working with, learning from, and mentoring brilliant, gracious, and civil change makers Our team of affiliates around the world strives to support and build each other up while fostering civility in their communities, schools, workplaces, and around the world My work includes ongoing research, curriculum development, lecturing, writing, and teaching civility

One of the components of our definition of civility is to “ ease the experience of others.” This was the mission and focus of Civility at Work. I often describe our team as “social architects” we strive to build better workplaces by teaching people to think differently about how they interact with others Civility eases day to day interactions, communication, and challenges Civility reduces stress and fosters wellness at work. It has been shown to increase retention, engagement, and performance metrics The book was written to share best practices for building better workplaces with organizations all over the world

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles?

A woman who understands her femininity, vulnerability, and nurturing nature is just as important in business as their plan, consistency, and grit. When we combine who we are at the core with our determination, we become unstoppable.

I have had a wide variety of business and life experiences that have given me the ability to see the world, life, and business from multiple perspectives I’ll use my knowledge and experience to help you find success Remember, failing is nothing to fear it only means that something needs to be adjusted.

I wanted to provide real hands on, non intimidating information for our next generation of entrepreneurs. When I started my first “legal” business, knowing where to start was difficult Especially because most of what I was taught/told about business was hand me down verbiage circulated by people who only knew of one way to do business

What has been your greatest reward?

What inspired your interest in helping business owners?

"My passion is to provide a space where we can feel seen, secure, and supported."

What has been your biggest obstacle?

My biggest obstacle has been understanding the significance of confronting and redefining past traumas until I had to work through my own success blockers. I worked with many women in my business coaching capacity and found that once they were able to do the deep work within themselves, they began living the life they desired without fear of failure I love that for them

What do you currently offer at Felicia Owens & Associates?

The reality is to do business, you have to be a problem solver My first problem was figuring out how to make my vision a reality

That this life is and can be whatever they make it WHS wants to help women be their best selves, live, and laugh out loud to the bank.

Recently, I found a way to combine my past and passion. Well Heeled Society (WHS) is a social group designed to dive into mental health, personal development, travel, and investments Currently, we are only accepting women into WHS, with plans to add a men’s group in 2023. My passion is to provide a space where we can feel seen, secure, and supported My past experience is vast, so I’ve partnered with other professionals to bring the best possible experience to WHS

What message do you hope women take away from their experience with Felecia Owens & Associates?
