What inspired your start in entrepreneurship?

Needing to have control of my schedule I didn’t like having to worry about my job being in jeopardy if I had to leave and get my sick kid at school

What has been your biggest challenge/failure as an entrepreneur? And how do you deal with it?

Timmeka is an esthetician, makeup artist, and educator As a dedicated educator, she loves imparting knowledge and skills to the next generation of beauty professionals Her profession as an esthetician allows her to help others feel more confident in their own skin As a mother, she enjoys watching her kids grow and flourish into amazing individuals And as a makeup artist, she loves bringing out the natural beauty of each person she works with

Biggest challenge was being afraid to start and being afraid to fail I had to remember to lead by example I can ’ t tell my kids to try before they quit and I do the exact opposite My biggest failure has been not believing in my ability to succeed I deal by knowing faith and fear can ’ t coexist Also by making decisions off of facts and my values keeps me from having regrets!

How do you balance entrepreneurship and Motherhood without experiencing burnout while pursuing your passion?

At one point it felt like I was living 2 lives as a mom and another as a business owner I was overwhelmed burned out a feeling guilty I decided to use my business as a tool to teach my children I have found that it helped them understand the work that I have to put in to providing for our family My kids know we are a team and I couldn’t do it without them!

What advice do have for moms looking to get started In entrepreneurship?

Start where you are What is a problem you face and found a solution to it? Can the solution be a or service a product? If so do it, market it and make it happen!!

What does being a Pretty Woman Who Hustles mean to you?

A Pretty Woman that Hustles is one that stays true to their values while taking on the world!

What books do you recommend for moms navigating entrepreneurship?

Everything is Figureaboutable by Marie Forleo, Slay the Day by Sandi Grant, Fit Fine and Fabulous by Dr Laureen Wishom and books by Terri Savell Foy
