Malvena Walker-Addison, affectionately known as Nena, hails from Compton, CA, and was raised with 4 brothers by her mother and father, who moved here from Texas and Louisiana, respectively She has been married to Paul, a Los Angeles bass player and radio personality, for the past 8 years

In 2016, after many years of suffering from eczema, a dermatological skin condition unsuccessfully treated by prescription medicine, Nena decided to create an organic, plant-based solution to resolve her ailment Soon after, her husband, Paul, was diagnosed with diabetes and was placed on the prescription drug, Metformin Nena discovered that Metformin had multiple side effects and wasn’t solving Paul’s condition and could lead to additional complications that compromised his quality of life

Nena devoted herself to investigating the causes of both eczema and diabetes There were many challenges along the way, including homelessness and financial strife, but after several years of intensive research, Nena has not only successfully formulated naturally based creams and oils that resolved eczema but also designed Hemp Mega, which is an alternative to Metformin

Today Nenas Organics is fast becoming a successful boutique product line with over 70 unique plant-based products These products include Ex Balm, CBD Oil, Balm of Gilead, Lymph Detox, and Hair Growth Stimulator, all created with plants and flowers exclusively

Struggling with eczema since I was a child without chemical-free relief Out of desperation, Nenas Organics was born.

When did you realize you created a product that provides results?

A client asked me for a larger size because the Ex Balm worked!

Can you take us through your creative process? Clients call asking if I either have or can make something to relieve them of their ailments
