PAMELA COLEMAN ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT It was through my forgiveness and empathy that I wanted to help others... Coleman is very passionate about men’s mental health. As a mental abuse survivor, she knows first-hand what it is like to want help and not know how to ask for it or where to go to find it. This year, Coleman has hosted two men’s mental awareness seminars in Virginia and Illinois. Her goal is to have a men’s seminar in every state. For now, she will do interviews on social media. She feels that men need support when it comes to mental health. Coleman states, “Mental health is not just for one month; it’s year-round.” Her goal in working with men’s mental health is to have our male population know that it is ok to ask for help. That stigma that has been placed on our men that it is a sign of weakness to ask for help is now long gone. Along with, if you are the head of the household, you can’t show signs of weakness. Coleman would like the men in all communities to know that there are people out here that care about them and want to help them however they need the support. Coleman’s overall goal is to bring awareness to mental health. I want to reach as many people as I can with information, support, and knowledge to help themselves as well as help someone that they care about. Coming in 2024, Coleman is setting up a YouTube channel, The Brother’s ForumEnding the Stigma E.T.S., along with the website. A place you can go to find information, events, and where to go for support.
What inspired your start in mental health advocacy? Once I finished my first book, Is This Me? Am I Her?, I realized that I was a mental abuse survivor. Like many, we take to Google to see how to handle or take care of what we are dealing with. While searching for answers for myself, I learned that 63% of African American men will not seek mental health assistance. While women will ask for help and the men will not, I decided that I would pour into our men to let them know that it is ok to ask for help. As a mental abuse survivor, how has your own experience shaped your understanding of the challenges that people face? Growing up, I didn’t know that I could ask for help. I didn’t know who to ask for help if it was an option. I have a website that I use for my online life coaching. There, I offer an ear to those who want to talk and seek information from local agencies. The website is being set up this year on a donation instead of a set fee. There are people out there who need to talk to someone, find help and guidance and don’t have the money that most people are charging. You’ve hosted mental awareness seminars in Virginia and Illinois. What motivated you to take this initiative, and what kind of response have you received so far? What motivates me? To know that I have helped one person, who wants the help but was afraid to seek it out. The response has been positive for the most part. There are a few who feel that since I am a woman, I should tackle women’s issues. I disagree with that; our men need just as much, if not more, support than women. If we don’t pour into them and support them, then who will? Your goal is to have a seminar in every state. How do you plan to achieve this, and what impact do you hope these seminars will have on mental health awareness? While doing my book events during this year, I plan to do the same as last year. Networking will be the key to the success of getting my vision in front of multiple cities and states. I have met people through online social media posts, that want to be involved with this.
I have a publisher, Allure’ Publishing, that has taken the concept with her to North Carolina, where she has hosted a few in support of my vision. You emphasize that mental health awareness is a year-round effort. Can you elaborate on why it’s important to maintain a continuous focus on this issue rather than limiting it to a specific month or period? When I stated that mental health awareness is a year-round effort instead of just one month. There are things that we spend a lot of time focusing on. It is good to have a month for things we support, but if we could take that same energy that was applied in that one month and spread it over twelve months, maybe reaching the goals would be easier.
Your upcoming YouTube channel, The Brother’s Forum- Ending the Stigma E.T.S., and the accompanying website sound like valuable resources. Can you provide more details about what viewers and visitors can expect from these platforms? The goal for everything to be up and running is April of this year. The YouTube channel will host interviews with various guests, men who have survived, men who support, and medical support. The website will have daily affirmations and contact information per state for support. I hope to have a wellness corner with a local trainer with tips to help with body and mind. THRIVING ALONE: NAVIGATING SINGLENESS THROUGH ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY Written By: Shondra Cantrell
Navigating singleness while being an entrepreneur reflects a common myth that you cannot do anything alone, but ultimately, it is better to succeed with the right team. This does not give any single woman or man the right to give up on their dreams. This is a personal journey that is set to remind you that you are never alone through each step you take to achieve your accomplishments. “Embracing singleness through the lens of wholeness.” Work and personal life balance is a lifestyle and is best demonstrated through self-discipline, consistency, determination, perseverance, and self-control. Setting boundaries and creating a routine is the key principle to sustaining success. Boundaries for Singles: Reevaluate and indulge in old hobbies. Rediscover what you do not like. Daily Routine for Singles: A 30-minute session with God once when you wake and again before you go to sleep Daily Schedule Organization every Sunday Implement a new healthy way of eating. Reprioritize beauty and fitness. Organize your Business Schedule once per week Prioritize your short-term and long-term goals. Investing in your personal growth is an asset to your future living arrangements. The capability of developing your skills as you elevate in life is a vision that is developed for you and God.
No matter the level of your education, your passion is unmatched when you learn to do things that you love to do. In the process, the following skills singles should implement in their productive strategy: Leadership skills Delegation skills Teamwork skills Management skills Verbal/Written Communication Skills Passive Listening Skills Singles will always accept criticism from mentors, friends, and family. Keep the hope of what is given and progress. Singles traveling and exploring opportunities are introduced through their efforts of implementing the following options into their self-care routines: Solo traveling Indulging in what brings peace and extreme joy. Self-care activities (i.e., reading, spa, etc.) Indulging in adventurous activities Singles leveraging entrepreneurial resources is a desirable inspiration that displays how to find the missing piece within the market and be the solution to the need. The gift of singleness is not to embrace the art of loneliness without the ability to be alone and gain community to strive in unity!

GIRL DON’T COUNT YOURSELF OUT WITH SABRINA THOMAS Contributor: Latasha Ramsey-Cyprian, MBA
This was God’s vision, not mine. I was thinking too small. Sabrina Thomas is a Best-Selling Author, Speaker, Visionary, Breast Cancer Warrior, TV Producer, and Advocate who empowers parents and caregivers to become their child’s best advocate. With over 20 years of experience as an advocate, she has become a strong voice in her field. Hoping to broaden the scope of her work and in line with her vision, she started an empowerment community/movement called “Girl Don’t Count Yourself Out.” This community aims to connect women from all facets of life to focus on self-care, sisterhood, confidence and growing spiritually. She is the CEO of Sabrina Thomas, LLC. Sabrina has worked professionally in Hospitality and has over 25 years of experience. She is also Virginia State Chair for G100 Oneness & Wisdom as well as an Alumni graduate from the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center, Milestones Circle Program. Sabrina is the recipient of many awards and has been featured on many media certifications Training, and
platforms. Sabrina holds in Advocacy, Speaker a Life Coach certification.
Being an established author, Sabrina has co-written 17 books and is a 17x Amazon Best Seller. In October 2021, she created a coloring book series, Color with Omar, with her son Omar, who has autism and cerebral palsy. These coloring books are a fun learning coloring experience, and the main character is her son, Omar.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Sabrina Thomas. Sabrina is an amazing mother, GiGi, and advocate. She is a powerhouse that inspires many women to walk fully in their purpose and to be their authentic selves. Sabrina was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2023 in the middle of her anthology project. Her faith in God allowed her to complete the project and become an Amazon Best Selling Visionary Author. In this interview, Sabrina talks about the Girl Don’t Count Yourself Out community/movement, the love she has for her family, and the future of her brand.
You have contributed to numerous anthologies over the last few years. In addition, you’re the best-selling visionary for Girl, Don’t Count Yourself Out! You are Resilient, Tenacious and Faithful and Girl, Don’t Count Yourself Out! Mom’s Edition. Can you please share where the vision came from for these two writing projects and describe the shift you experienced going from co-author to visionary author? I have been in sixteen anthologies prior to mine, and it was my time. I love connecting and working with a diverse group of women. My experiences were all different, and I met some amazing women. I wanted to step out and create a wonderful experience for women to share their stories. Girl, Don’t Count Yourself Out was given to me years ago by God and I am just following his lead. In the first anthology I wrote about three words that others described how they saw me. I thought that would be great because I know that these words describe so many other women as well. The second anthology was about motherhood because that title is so important to me. Being a visionary is a wonderful experience. It’s natural for me because I am well-rounded, organized, compassionate, and patient. I am looking forward to more anthologies in the future. I love the entire process. It’s not about money for me; it’s about impact. At times, life takes us down a different road than what we expect. Do you think God was preparing you for something greater because of your obedience leading the writing projects in 2022 and 2023?
Great question, Yes. When you did my first project, and I did the launch in Dallas, Texas, I was given the opportunity of a lifetime, my own TV show on Zondra’s TV Network. I think being a co-author in all those projects and being the visionary was the foundation laid for me to have my own TV show. I now have an opportunity for a greater impact with this additional platform. This was God’s vision, not mine. I was thinking too small. In 2023, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the midst of my anthology project. I pushed through by God’s grace. My word for 2023 was transformation. I transformed in many ways that weren’t in my plan but were in God’s plan, but I do believe he is preparing me for something greater in 2024. Girl Don’t Count Yourself Out is a community that you founded. What was your vision when you started the community, and how has it impacted your life and the lives of others? “Girl, Don’t Count Yourself Out” is a movement I am creating. My vision was small. I initially thought it was a community to empower women. But God’s vision is bigger. It’s definitely about empowerment and motivating women to be the best version of themselves. It’s also about offering grace to yourself and others, stepping out of your own way, sisterhood, love, support, and spiritual growth. As far as impact, the community/movement has been impactful. I had my first conference in October, and the reviews were more than I imagined, but I am just getting started. It will be a movement on and off social media. Where do you see your brand in 3-5 years? My brand will be Global. I see myself traveling all over and impacting women and young women as well (High School Girls). There will be more books and anthologies in the year and years to come as well. There will be a Girl, Don’t Count Yourself Out Retreat, brunches, and so much more. I see Good Morning America interviews and OWN Spotlight interviews with Oprah. I’m thinking big. I read on social media that becoming a mother and GiGi has been your biggest blessing. How do you enjoy spending quality time with your family?
I have a lot of different titles, but being a Mother and GiGi are the most important. I raised Kings and now I assist with my grandson’s parents, raising a prince. It’s priceless and brings me so much joy. I love weekends with my grandson (Suga Plum) and spending time with my two sons at home, traveling, movies, dinners etc. I love making memories. What message do you have for a woman who wants to become an author? I would say if you want to become an author, take that leap. Write and share your story because what I know for sure someone needs to hear it. I used to think that my story(s) would not make an impact of difference, I was wrong. If you want to be a part of an anthology to try it out, you can connect with me, and if I am not a fit, I can connect you to other authors. Who is Sabrina Thomas in seven words? Woman of faith, resilience, tenacity, and strength. What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? This woman is resilient. She gets up every day even when she doesn’t want to or feel good. She handles her business and minds her business as well. She embraces every aspect of her life with purpose and passion and inspires others to do the same.

ASHLEY
FAISON CEO enRICH Professional Development
www.ashleyfaison.com
By celebrating the accomplishments of professionals, Ashley Faison eliminates insecurities and creates career plans to position them for negotiations that land a higher salary. She is a certified resume writer with 14+ years of experience reviewing hiring packages and sitting on interview panels. She has been featured on Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, Meet the Elites podcast, Mac’ List Podcast, The Observer, Society of Elite Résumé Writing CareerCon, at the She Leads She Profits Summit 2.0, and in PowerHouse Newsletter. Ashleyfaison.com LLC is a black-owned, womanowned, survivor-led business committed to improving the economic status and quality of life for women through professional development coaching and resume writing. Ashley proudly serves as a desired consultant, working with companies and non-profits that serve marginalized communities.
Let’s start from the very beginning. Can you tell us about your background and what inspired you to start resume writing? I started working in a human resources capacity, assisting in the hiring process in 2009. For the last 14 years, I have reviewed applications/résumés and sat on interview panels. My expertise has exposed me to the common mistakes of job seekers. Naturally, I started helping family & friends with their résumés. Years later, I met a full-time professional résumé writer who inspired me to reframe my mindset and consider résumé writing as a valuable skill. I’ve dabbled in several types of businesses over the years (jewelry, photography, travel, Avon, and investments) but I am most passionate about helping job seekers secure a higher salary for their families. With over 14 years of experience reviewing hiring packages and sitting on interview panels, what are some common mistakes you’ve observed in the hiring/interviewing process?
The most common errors I see job seekers make are: (1) using an automatic résumé builder through a job search website, (2) leaving off the software and technical skills they have acquired, (3) using résumé templates with fonts and features that are not ATS compatible, and (4) not investing in a proofreader to revise their résumé. Ashleyfaison.com LLC is a black-owned, woman-owned, and survivor-led business. Can you tell us more about your commitment to improving the economic status and quality of life for women through professional development coaching and resume writing? My commitment to improving the economic status and quality of life through professional development coaching stems from having women in my corner who coached me throughout my career. We all have a story, and I believe that women often doubt their professional value, and this keeps them in entry-level positions for too long. In fact, according to LinkedIn statistics, women apply to 20% fewer jobs than men - but the kicker is this - women are also 16% more likely to be hired than men. Women typically wait until they meet 100% of the job qualifications to apply, yet men commonly apply when they meet a mere 60% of the job qualifications. By celebrating the accomplishments of professionals, I eliminate insecurities and create a strategy to position women for negotiations that land a higher salary. 80% of my clients land jobs, making a $20K-$40K salary increase. How has your experience as a desired consultant for companies and non-profits serving marginalized communities influenced your approach to career development and resume writing for your clients? My experience serving marginalized communities drives my passion for effective and up-to-date career strategies. I am a big proponent of research, and through my own research, I have discovered how many non-profits are overworking their staff to help their clients with a job search and/or résumé. Most staff at companies and non-profits that serve marginalized communities are not certified in résumé writing and/or career coaching and have never worked in human resources to know what recruiters and hiring managers are looking for. In my opinion, this is a disservice to the clients they serve and places them at a disadvantage to job seekers utilizing professional résumé writers and career coaches who are trained and certified to do this work. This is a big reason I am steadfast in staying current with market trends and taking continued education seriously.
What worked for someone in high school is not effective for someone else who is trying to earn a livable wage today. Making sure that I don’t fall into this box and that my methods are current helps me provide top-tier service to job seekers. I hold an “A” rating with the Better Business Bureau and run my business with prayer, ethics, and effective strategies for success. What are the most important elements of a strong resume or job application, and what advice do you have for job seekers looking to stand out in a competitive job market? I actually talked about this on the Mac’s List podcast! You can find information and listen to the episode I am featured on here: www.macslist.org/podcasts/resumes/7-ways-torevamp-your-resume-fast-with-ashley-faison What are your future plans and goals for Ashleyfaison.com LLC, and how do you envision continuing to make a positive impact in the professional development and resume writing field? Currently, I am working with a virtual assistant on creating my first course for smart professionals who have time to write their own résumé and are interested in my process. My goals for 2024 are (1) to land 3 more contracts with companies and/or non-profits that want a professional résumé writer to train and/or coach their clients - helping them land jobs earning a livable wage, (2) to help 100 more women land salary increases, and (3) add résumé templates to my online offerings. As a professional with a strong online presence, what tips can you offer for individuals looking to build their personal brand and increase their visibility in the digital world? The best advice I received is what I will share - post about yourself or your business every day. Stay in the algorithmic circulation, and even if no one is reacting or commenting on your posts, keep going they see you! If you aren’t posting, there is no way for your clients to know what you are doing. Someone is waiting online and searching for what you have to offer. Another tip I can offer is don’t be afraid to reach out to people online and ask questions or let them know what you have to offer. I sent a 3 sentence DM to a non-profit founder and landed my first contract. Like my business coach always says, don’t overthink it. Instagram: @iamashleyfaison LinkedIn: Ashley Danielle Faison

Reflecting on your experience as a TEDx Speaker, can you share a little about this experience and what message you hope women took away from your speech? I participated in a Ted Salon at TEDx University of South Africa in August 2023. It was a surreal experience, and I was able to do it with a friend and fellow clinician, Glendora Dvine. This gave me the opportunity to see what people were experiencing around the world and to hear from people around the world. Can you share the inspiration behind establishing Jade Clinical Services and the Breaking Boundaries Therapist Academy? The inspiration is multifold. I have always had an enterprising spirit. I wanted to be able to impact the world in my own way, and I wanted to be able to take care of my father without fear of losing my job, which is what I was threatened with when I worked for the government.
In what ways does your background in gerontology, disability services, and substance use contribute to your understanding of the unique needs of your clients? My background in these areas allows me to provide my clients with information, understanding, and a perspective they may otherwise might not receive. A lot of times, people make uninformed decisions. I help my clients to have as much information as possible before making their decisions. You’ve been actively contributing to the Washington metropolitan community. How do you specifically address mental health and children’s literacy, and why are these issues important to you?
The simple answer is my family. Reading has been an important issue in my family since before I was born. My mother set the agenda when she was ten and testified before the senate to have a library built in her neighborhood and was a lifelong advocate for that library. I also love books and believe every child should have the opportunity to develop the same love of reading if they choose. I also note there is trauma and mental illness in my family, and much like other Black families, you will see the variety of ways one

The key to making services accessible is accepting insurance. I’ve found being flexible, to a certain degree, makes services accessible to people. However, in reality, the client also has to be held accountable for paying their bill. So, being given deadlines and communicating is important because many clients will forget when they use insurance, it is part of their contract that they are required to pay their copays and deductibles. I also accept payment vouchers and regularly refer clients to programs. I have also expanded into providing services outside of the DMV and provide services in Texas and Florida as well. One of the clinicians in my practice who provides perinatal mental health services provides services in Arkansas.
health advocacy, and how do you plan to continue making a positive impact on the community? I plan to continue making services available for women of color. I may also be expanding services into additional states this year. For clinicians, I am working to provide support with their private practices. I also have some plans in the works to do some things on a more mezzo level. Unfortunately, I cannot say more about it yet but stay tuned for an announcement later in 2024. What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? A Pretty Woman Who Hustles is someone who gets things done. She is booked, busy, and planning her next move because not even the sky is the limit.

DALE’TRICE
Y O U N G Dale’Trice Young is a twenty-four-year-old multi-faceted serial entrepreneur. She has charisma, determination, courage, brains, beauty, knowledge, and expertise that appeal all too well to those in the business industry.
She is a certified CNA, she owns a credit company known as Rapid Repair Credit, she owns a tax company known as Independent Tax Express, she is certified in business with a business diploma, a certified lash technician, a pre-licensed real estate agent, and she also owns a trucking dispatch company known as independent logistics. Ms. Young’s credit company has helped relieve over one hundred thousand dollars of debt relief to clients across the United States. She has helped relocate over fifty and plus counting families following her active learning in real estate from Kaplan School of Real Estate. Located in Houston, TX, Dale’Trice Young has created quite the name for her self. In January 2024, she was listed as a certified tradeline mogul. Dale’Trice Young is originally from McComb, MS. She is the third child of four children. She moved to Houston, TX to follow her dreams at the young age of 20 years old. She is now a proud mother of 1 three years old toddler. Her future plans are to assist as many people with financial education, business structure, and debt relief across the United States. She assures that “ as long as you have a fire in your heart, you can go as far as the skies with your dreams “.
You’ve accomplished so much at a young age. Can you take us through your journey from being a certified CNA to becoming a serial entrepreneur? I always had a hand in the CNA field, from taking care of my grandparents and watching my mom in the field, so in 2020, I became temporarily certified while also starting a lash business. After becoming a certified lash technician as well in 2020, I just took off with full on entrepreneurship. Your credit company, Rapid Repair Credit, has helped relieve over one hundred thousand dollars of debt for clients. Can you share a specific success story that stands out to you? A specific success story that captivates me the most is my own. Before I officially started rapid repair credit, I wanted to educate myself so I tested a repair method I bought from a credit mogul on myself. I cleared myself of $70,000+.00 worth of debt within one attempt of debt relief. That’s the story of how rapid repair credit was created. How do your various businesses, such as independent tax express and independent logistics, complement each other and contribute to your overall business strategy?
All my businesses correlate in some way like for instance my active learning in real estate is tied into my credit repair business and my dispatching business is tied to my clients who want to explore other financial endeavors they can profit from. I also make it my responsibility to educate my clients in every business I have. How do you balance your time and energy across your various brands, ensuring success in each area? It is a bit of a struggle to handle so many things especially since I'm the director, CEO, content creator, and everything you can think of all at once. But mainly I stick to a schedule, strict protocols, and make sure I stay on top of education to ensure I can provide the best services possible to my clientele. Your goal is to assist people with financial education, business structure, and debt relief. How do you envision your businesses making a positive impact on communities across the United States? I believe my businesses can make a huge impact in not just the united states, but the entire world one day by educating in the credit world mainly. Most people that lack financial structure in life typically has bad credit, which is why I think it’s important to get the message out that the best financial future starts with investing followed by a strong credit profile. As a mother of a three-year-old toddler, how do you balance the demands of entrepreneurship with family life? Being a full time entrepreneur on top of being a fulltime mom is absolutely a roller coaster ride everyday! But overall a schedule, creating boundaries such as nap time & activity time, and making sure on weekends and holidays I dedicate it to family are the main ways I create a healthy workfamily balance. What are your future plans for expanding your businesses and making a broader impact on financial education and debt relief? My future plans on making financial education and debt relief expansion are to get my businesses more abroad and help create a future for those with poor financial structure. I plan to reach millions of people across the world that hopefully after experiencing rapid repair credit and any other business endeavor I have, with a top-tier and pleasant experience.

Jantanese Bonner
Jantanese Bonner, hailing from Selma, Alabama, a city teeming with talent. From a young age, she always knew that she wanted to make a difference and leave her mark on the world. Growing up in Selma, she witnessed firsthand the struggles that many people faced, but she also observed the resilience and determination of her fellow townspeople. Despite the odds, she knew that she had to venture out of her hometown to make her dreams a reality. In 2017, she made the decision to move to Columbus, Georgia. Working as a dispatcher prior to the move, she secured another dispatching job with a local trucking company upon arrival. The pay was not as great, and she never settled. Eventually, she found another job as a project manager with a construction company. It was a daunting task, but she was determined to succeed. She worked tirelessly for this company, enjoying networking and marketing, but recognizing that there had to be more to life than working 12-14 hour days on a set weekly salary. Throughout the six years of working as a project manager, she knew she possessed the skills and expertise to take a leap of faith and start her own business. Motivated, hungry, yet scared at the same time, her pushing point to starting her own business was when her brother was killed in 2021. Requesting time off, she was instead met with curses from her prior boss. It comes to a point in life when you know better, you do better. A week later, she started her own marketing business and secured her first contract independently. She never looked back; she kept going. Starting a business from scratch is never easy, but she was up for the challenge. She spent countless hours networking, building relationships with potential clients, and honing her craft. It wasn't always smooth sailing, but she remained focused and determined, knowing that the hard work would pay off in the end.
In May 2021, her dream became a reality as she launched her construction staffing company, which proved to be a significant success. In 2023, she achieved her first million dollars in revenue. She takes pride in serving clients with utmost sincerity and diligence, building a reputation for delivering high-quality work and exceptional customer service. Witnessing her business grow and thrive has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. She hopes her story inspires others to pursue their dreams and take that leap of faith. Regardless of where you come from or the obstacles you face, she believes anything is possible with hard work, determination, and a little bit of courage.
Can you touch on your upbringing in Selma, Alabama, and how those experiences influenced your desire to make a difference in the world? "My upbringing in Selma, Alabama, was a truly wonderful experience. The city's rich history, delicious food, and welcoming people made it a great place to grow up. Despite its small size, Selma has played a significant role in shaping our country's history, including Bloody Sunday and Martin Luther King's march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Although Selma's economy declined over the years, I believe the city still has much potential to offer. However, I had to leave to pursue opportunities to continue my personal and professional growth." What specific challenges did you witness growing up in Selma, and how did the resilience of your community shape your aspirations?
Despite the challenges I faced growing up in Selma, I remained confident in my abilities. One of the biggest challenges I witnessed was the lack of resources in the area. However, I remained steadfast and drew inspiration from the resilience of my community. Moving from being a dispatcher to a project manager is a significant leap. What motivated you to make that transition, especially relocating to Columbus, Georgia? Moving from being a dispatcher to a project manager was one of the best decisions I made. Although it was challenging to make the transition, I never lost my willpower to help people. While I enjoyed being a dispatcher and assisting my drivers with picking up loads, taking on a role in project management gave me a different perspective on how I could help others find better career opportunities. It was fulfilling to know that by having conversations with people, I could help them grow financially and support their families. When I moved to Columbus, I was eager to learn and grow, even though I knew no one in the city. I took a leap of faith because I knew there were more opportunities for me to make a difference. How did your experiences in dispatching and project management contribute to your decision to eventually start your own business? My experience in dispatching and project management inspired me to start my own business. I realized that as an employee, I was limiting my potential to grow both personally and professionally. Feeling stuck, I took a leap of faith and started my own business. Though it was scary, it was also the best decision I ever made. As a business owner, I had the freedom to work as hard as I needed to achieve success. I knew my worth and acted accordingly. Can you share more about the initial challenges you faced when launching your marketing business and securing your first independent contract? When I first started my business, one of the biggest challenges I faced was acknowledging myself as the owner. Mentally, I had to prepare myself to take on a greater responsibility and answer more questions pertaining to the business. Starting out, I realized the importance of having a portfolio of prior projects performed by my company. I had to be careful in selecting the right manpower to represent my brand and my company. It made me work harder, knowing that every day I woke up, it was my responsibility to ensure that my team kept their jobs. Although I took my first contract for pennies on the dollar, it was a learning experience that allowed me to understand the pricing points of services and other competitors in the market, which ultimately helped me expand my customer base.
How did your commitment to delivering highquality work and exceptional customer service shape the growth and reputation of your business? My commitment to delivering high-quality services and excellent customer service is rooted in treating people with respect and integrity. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated if I were looking for a job myself. As a business owner, I understand that success depends on providing excellent customer service to both job candidates and employers. I know that my attitude plays a critical role in the growth and expansion of my business. Your story is undoubtedly inspiring. What message do you hope others take away from your journey, especially those who may be hesitant to pursue their dreams? I hope that sharing my story inspires others to start their own business, no matter where they come from or how big their city is. It's essential to break the mold and step out of your comfort zone to achieve success. Although it can be uncomfortable at first, taking risks and seizing opportunities is necessary for growth. Remember that success doesn't happen overnight, but with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
PHOENIX RISING TYE MILES’ JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE, TRIUMPH, AND INTENTIONAL LIVING

Tyeisha Miles. Ambitious, Intuitive, and Energetic is the powerhouse and CEO behind Tye Miles International Coaching & Consulting. Tye is a contemporary Phoenix, rising from the ashes and emerging from challenges with unparalleled strength. A visionary who is building her own table and crafting a legendary narrative of resilience and triumph. Her story begins in poverty.
Determined to move her family out of the projects, Tye initially pursued fashion modeling. However, getting pregnant at 16 altered her trajectory, closing the door on her modeling dreams. This new reality led Tye into a downward spiral of depression and suicidal thoughts. The birth of her daughter became her reason to live and to strive for a better life. Rejecting a dependency on welfare, she faced a pivotal decision – go to college or pursue a trade. Fueled by a 21-day fast seeking divine guidance, she chose cosmetology school, initiating her journey of intentional living and personal transformation. As a stylist, Tye achieved her first six figures in seven months and eventually established a seven-figure brand. Her transition to a certified life coach marked another milestone in her life, and she launched Tye Miles International Coaching & Consulting, which empowers women to be, do, and live well through personal transformation coaching and authentic personal branding strategy.
Tye’s Best-Selling book, Woman, Own Your BS (Belief System), was born out of her own journey of overcoming peoplepleasing. This book focuses on building a positive personal identity and harnessing personal power. Understanding the common struggle with people-pleasing first-hand, Tye discusses the role of external validation in hindering personal growth. She encourages women to choose beliefs aligned with their values while breaking free from societal expectations. Additionally, Tye introduces the concept of “Always be unlearning,” emphasizing the importance of shedding limiting beliefs ingrained since childhood for continual growth. In Woman, Own Your BS (Belief System), the takeaway for readers is the profound impact of belief systems on every aspect of life. Tye urges women to replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones to transform their identities and lives. Her favorite line from her book- “I have come to believe that the most neglected relationship in a woman’s life is her relationship with herself,” emphasizes the importance of a woman’s relationship with herself, a connection often overlooked. According to Tye, “Most women are naturally givers and tend to put the priorities of others above their own. We generously give to others until there is little energy left for ourselves and our goals.” Tyeisha Miles. Vibrant. Driven. Dynamic. From overcoming adversity to empowering women, her story is one of resilience, transformation, and the unwavering pursuit of living with intention. As she rises into 2024, Tye unveils Intentional Living Coaching, which combines positive psychology and behavior change techniques. As a woman of faith, how does your spirituality influence your work and provide strength and purpose in your journey? As a woman of faith, my spirituality and ever-soneeded relationship with God provides strength, purpose, and a moral compass in my journey. It influences my work by guiding me to operate with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive impact. It also serves as a source of inspiration to create a brand that embraces diversity and inclusivity and empowers women to express and love their authentic selves. How do you balance wearing multiple hats – a sister, aunt, and friend – while maintaining resilience in your various roles? Balancing various roles as a sister, aunt, and friend, alongside the demands of my business, requires intricate time management and prioritization. In addition to these responsibilities, I enjoy the role of a mom to two adorable fur babies and occasionally step into the role of caregiver for my brother, who faces mental health challenges.
Amidst these commitments, pursuing a master's degree and working towards various personal goals adds complexity to my schedule. Maintaining equilibrium involves effective boundary-setting, regular self-care practices, and fostering a robust support system. This careful balancing act ensures that I fulfill my obligations with resilience and dedication, both personally and professionally. Are there specific individuals or role models in the fashion or mental health realms who inspire you in your journey? I find inspiration from various sources, such as trailblazing individuals in the fashion industry who have championed diversity and authenticity, as well as my colleagues. In the podcast's exploration of mental health, my motivation stems from advocates I collaborate with and those who openly share their journeys, working tirelessly to diminish the stigma around mental health challenges. Their dedication inspires me to persist in fostering positive conversations and creating supportive networks. Every journey has its challenges and triumphs. Can you share a significant challenge you've faced in your career and how you overcame it? One of the most significant hurdles in my career was diving into the complexities of launching an online boutique and crafting a brand presence. Challenges persist, but overcoming them is about detailed planning, gaining insights from setbacks, and adjusting to the ever-shifting digital terrain. Resilience, seeking mentorship, and embracing innovation are the keys to overcoming obstacles in the boutique business. It's an ongoing journey, but these approaches will allow me to navigate challenges and position C C's Wardrobe to become a thriving and empowering brand in the fiercely competitive fashion industry. Take us back to the beginning. What inspired you to become an author/visual artist and doctor of literature? What services do you offer? Writing has always been my first love, and I became passionate about writing since my grade school days. I started composing poetry at the age of 10, being an introvert. In grade school, I often wrote love poems, and one of my essays in our mother’s language, along with my poem, got published when I was 19 years old in a supplementary magazine for high school students, Blue Collar Magazine of Don Bosco Technical School, which circulated nationally. I had my big break in writing when I became a news correspondent for a local community newspaper in our city, Antipolo STAR, in 2006. I have co-authored more than 200 international anthologies. I am the President of P.L.O.T.SCreatives Magazine, USA, and we also promote fellow creatives.
I am an Executive Editor of Glitterati Quill with Spark Magazine in India, the Art Editor for the Oceania Section of Humanity Magazine in Russia, and an Advisory Board Member of Reflection Magazine based in Dubai. For my Special Quill English, Writing, Editing Coaching Services, I founded it just last year, and I have already featured many local and international authors and artists in interviews and published them in both online and physical international magazines. I offer writing services (Press Release, Feature Articles, Formal Letters, Editing and Proofreading Services, Book Reviews and Promotions, Social Media Management and Promotions, Book Blurbs, Art Exhibit Statements, Artist Statements and BIO, Artwork Descriptions, English Writing and Speaking Coaching Services, among others. I offer services to business owners, life coaches, motivational speakers, teachers, musicians, etc. You’re very passionate about helping artists and authors promote their brands. What motivates you to help others? I believe that an authentic artist and author should also get to support others in every way he/she can. We live in a world where there is tight competition everywhere. It has always been my mantra that ‘I am only in competition with myself.”
If you could tribute your success to anyone in your life, who would it be? I was able to pursue my writing career in full blast after my late Dad died in 2012, and I have always been vocal about it. I really dedicate all my achievements, both in Literature and the Arts, to our dearly departed Father. He told us before that he was a frustrated journalist, and so I told myself that I would get to fulfill his dreams before and so I did and much more! I believe that I inherited my creativity from my late Dad as he also composed poetry before, and I even published some of his love poems for my Mom in my first poetry book. Who is Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo in seven words? Eccentric, empowered, talented, intuitive, creative, compassionate, loving. Where do you see your brand within 3-5 years? In 3-5 years, I can see my 2 brands: “Special Quill English, Writing, Editing Coaching Services” and “Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo” having their own physical locations here in the Philippines and possibly having branches. Both small businesses already cater to international clients, so I believe that anything is possible. I can also envision my art brand, “Art Heals by Elizabeth Esguerra Castillo,” being one of the major sponsors of international exhibits, which will also reach out to struggling artists and help them promote their own brand. What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles? I believe that a Pretty Woman Who Hustles is an empowered woman who knows her sacred mission of not only making money for herself and her loved ones but helping other people as well. A woman of substance who has already discovered her Higher Calling, creating her brands to share the talent and gifts given to her by the Almighty for His glory. Educate Empower Lead, LLC was founded in 2017. Providing customized services, including training, coaching, and workshops for professional growth and development. Our services are tailored to suit the needs of each individual and organization, unlocking hidden potential and guiding clients toward success. What inspired you to pursue a career in consulting, speaking, and education? I initially started my business with a passion for inspiring and empowering others. My business quickly grew to fill the need to provide professional training, motivational speaking, and workshop services to organizations. I have always worked in corporate America, traditional 9 to 5 jobs. I learned and developed my work ethic from working in those jobs, so I know what it takes to be disciplined and structured. It’s one thing to start a business, but to maintain one and grow can be challenging. I have developed the mindset of taking risks and not being afraid of the outcome.
When starting my business, I had to always keep that in the back of my mind when it came to funding. My mentality was if this didn’t work out, I could always go back to Corporate America, but if this did work out, then Corporate America could come to me. How has your master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling influenced your approach to professional and community development? Obtaining my master’s degree taught me discipline and structure. Having that prepared me for my entrepreneurial journey, as I was taught the importance of being consistent. As an educator, I believe it is my duty to advocate and educate those communities who are most in need.
In what ways do you believe community involvement enhances personal and professional growth? One thing I have always been a firm believer in is not forgetting where I come from. I am a firm believer in not only embracing your community but also giving back to your community is something that has been a top priority for me. As a professional, growth is an important ingredient to maintaining success. Part of growing is being involved in your community.
Looking ahead, what are your goals for Educate Empower Lead, LLC in the coming years? Continue to give back to my community and expand my brand. I am currently in the process of launching a mental health podcast where we will be discussing everything from depression to trauma and stigmas. We will focus on spreading more awareness about the importance of mental health in underserved communities. What advice would you give to individuals aspiring to make a difference in their communities or pursue a career similar to yours? The best advice I would give would be don’t follow the money, instead follow your passion. When you love what you are doing, it doesn’t seem like work, and that is what is going to keep you motivated.
