DOMINATING DIGITAL MARKETING

The average small business owner, spends less than $10,000 on digital marketing. 47% small business owners report that they handle digital marketing themselves rather than hiring a professional. Of this 47%, 26% stated they were not seeing enough results for the amount of time and effort they were investing into marketing. We love and admire a, "Do it yourself-er" but sometimes it's best to call the professionals. High performance digital marketing requires a combination of strategy, expertise, and tools. All of this combined can attract, engage , and convert customers. With Google Search Engine Optimization (SEO), social media, email marketing, etc there are a lot of factors that all have to work together perfectly in order to create a successful digital marketing plan.

Social Media Trends Our world went seemingly fully digital over the course of 2020, after the Coronavirus shook our country to the core. As social platforms introduce new features and change their algorithms, social media trends likewise undergo an evolution. In the midst of a global health crisis, we saw many businesses going digital to prevent the spread of COVID19. In person meetings turned into Zoom conferences and live concerts turned into something you streamed on Facebook from your living room couch. The number of views on both facebook and Instagram live streams, and videos nearly doubled in 2021. According to a recent Sprout Social Index, 40% of consumers want to see more live video from brands. While the situation continues to evolve in 2021, people have grown used to being able to interact with brands live without ever leaving their homes. Live streaming will continue to gain popularity and should definitely be a part of your social media marketing strategy.

2021 The Year Of Digital Marketing KRISTINA PECK

NOT ALL SUPERHERO'S WEAR CAPES BY: KRISTINA PECK

Over the past few weeks, I keep getting the same question. “How do you do it all?” I’m a Mom, Wife, Executive Director, Upcoming Author, CEO, Blogger, and Upcoming Model. Phew. It’s a lot; I know! To be honest, I don’t usually balance it all. Most days I go to bed and think, “I should have played with my son more.” Or, “I really should have put more time into my clients today.” It doesn’t matter what you do or how hard you try, something or someone will always take a backseat. As a Mom, and a Wife I really struggle with the, “I work too much” and “I don’t spend enough time with my family.” I think the biggest thing I had to realize is that it’s okay to not spend every single second of my life with my family. I do work from home, but I’m doing just that-working. I’m calling clients, designing websites, setting up PR meetings, I’m always doing something. I work from sun up to sun down. In-between calls, and emails, I snuggle my son, and call my husband to see how is day is going. I do the laundry, and dishes while on the phone with my clients (thank God for my Apple AirPods!) I take a quick break to cook dinner, cleanup from dinner, and finally relax. Sometimes I find myself ordering out because I don’t have time to make dinner. The laundry pile grows because I didn’t have time to do it. My son gets more than an hour of screen time a day because I’m just too busy. It sounds horrible, but I think as Mom’s, we have to realize that it’s okay to work. It’s okay to set boundaries. It’s okay to work from home and actually work! Sometimes it’s hard. Sometimes my son is undressing himself behind me while on a Zoom call. Sometimes he’s scaling my walls while I’m on the phone. Or we’re watching Blippi for 900th time today. Matter of fact, my son just threw a popsicle at me as I’m typing this. Gotta love ’em, right?

Running a business from home is anything but easy. Everything I know is self taught. I spend countless hours watching Youtube tutorials, reading E-Books, reading online forms, all that jazz. My gears are constantly turning from 6am to 11pm. Which leads me to my nest lecture. Taking care of yourself, or practicing self care. I spent a lot of time working and putting myself last. The countless 12 hours shifts, no vacations, no sick time. I always just pushed on. I never took care of myself. I never gave myself time to unwind, and it put me in a really bad spot physically and mentally. It took me years to finally realize that you can run yourself into the ground all you want, and once you break, your employer simply just replaces you. Set those boundaries! It’s okay to say no to extra shifts. It’s okay to ask for vacation time. It’s okay to set aside time for YOU. Dedicating myself to my job, and nothing else, left me empty handed. It left me burnt out. I hated my job, I hated myself, I hated everything. Trust me, I know what happens when you set yourself on the back burner. It’s not good- just take my word for it. Everyday I set aside at least an hour to do something just for myself. No, grocery shopping alone is not self care. Getting a pedicure is though. Or grabbing lunch and drinks with a friend. Or going shopping for a new purse-but don’t point the finger at me when your husband asks why you spent $300 at the Coach store! Giving yourself time to separate yourself from “reality” is a good thing. Not everything yo do has to be centered around your family, and work. Give yourself time to recharge…alone. I promise you’ll see a difference in your physical and emotional health! On all those days you feel like you’re failing, just remember, you’re doing the best you can with the cards you’ve been dealt. If no one has told you lately, I’m proud of you, and I’ll absolutely be your biggest cheerleader.reliability of his source.

An employer’s first impression of a potential applicant is his or her resume and cover letter. Therefore, it is essential for these documents to be as appealing, attractive, and well written. To do so it is important to do the proper research and dedicate an adequate time ensuring that both documents are the best representation of You. To individuals that need assistance with this type of service, this is where B.Yourself, LLC can offer our services. My name is Khadijah Lockhart, and I am the owner and founder of B.Yourself, LLC. Founded in July 2020, B.Yourself,LLC was created to help individuals elevate and promote themselves as a brand on paper. By doing so, we offer resume and cover building services, and in March 2021 we will aid future entrepreneurs with guidance on business startup research and documentation submission assistance. Regardless of if he or she is job hunting, I believe your resume and cover letter should always be “SUBMISSION READY”. When I state, “SUBMISSION READY” I mean you’re your resume should contain some of the following items: an updated with your last ten years of employment history, updated contact information including a professional email address, and any certifications and trainings that will benefit you being hired for the job; your cover letter should provide a brief summary of your work history, highlight skills that have been learned and or developed throughout work history, and should be tailored to fit the job position that he or she is applying to.

Being “SUBMISSION READY” also means that the format of both documents is easy on the eyes and contains a natural balance and flow and lastly be free of any spelling or grammatical errors. Everyone wants their resume to be more appealing to a potential employer over another applicant. Presenting these documents in this manner will make it more informal for the reader and allow the reader to identify the quality and traits they are searching more easily identifiable.

I have found through feedback from my prior customers’ resumes and cover letters these are areas where when receiving feedback on their resumes during the interview process is where their resume or cover letter stood out the most over others. MARCH 2021…B.Yourself,LLC will be launching “BYB” (B.Your Business) services. This service will aid potential entrepreneurs that want to start a business but do not know where to start. Before starting my business, I conducted research for about six to eight months on everything I needed to start my business from the legal documents down to the “Welcome” email format I would send to each new client. After starting my business, my friends started reaching out to me wanting to know what legal documents I had to fill out and what fees had to be paid to what type of scheduling system I used. Each person that asked me these questions all stated this should be a service you offer through your business. After researching and considering, I have decided to add this service to BYS roster. For a small fee, I will provide all the research needed to get the type of business (such LLC or sole proprietor) you would like to startup, provide you with all the fees that would need to be paid to get the business up and running, will submit all the documents to the Secretary of State that needs to be filed, and submit registration form for EIN number. As B.Yourself,LLC continues to grow more services will be added to the roster that will benefit the needs and wants of individuals and future and present small businesses.
