As this class focuses on slow motions, balance, breathing, flexibility, and the coordination of body, mind and soul; it is the perfect exercise for all ages and levels. CHATURANGA CHALLENGE Ahhhh, Chaturanga Dandasana! — the yoga pose that yogis love to hate. There is no denying the physical and mental challenge of hovering inches above your mat in a low plank position without losing your cool. THE FACTS For the ninth year, the UAE capital hosts F1®’s only twilight race, and could potentially decide the prestigious F1 driver’s championship title once again. This year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix features GP2 and GP3 as support races. Abu Dhabi is the only current F1 race that’s named after its host city. The Yas Marina Circuit track extends over 5.554 km and has a total of 21 turns. The Line-up! WAHAT AL KARAMA & COMMEMORATION DAY “Wahat Al Karama”, which translates into “the oasis of dignity” – is a fitting title for the site chosen to immortalise the names of the men who gave their lives for the UAE, as directed by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. The memorial comprises of 31 massive aluminum-clad tablets, each leaning on the other, symbolising the unity, solidarity and mutual support that bind together leadership and citizens with the servicemen and women who protect them. The long spine at the rear of the Memorial is engraved with the Pledge of Allegiance of the UAE Armed Forces and symbolically supports the other panels. Wahat Al Karama is symbolically
located between the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces, being a 5-minute drive from the hotel. The November 30th marks the UAE’s Commemoration Day, to honour, recognise and take pride in the sacrifices of the UAE’s heroes. The tradition is for the national flag to be lowered to half-mast at 8:00 am on the morning of, followed by a minute of silent prayer at the symbolic time of 11:30 pm, after which the flag is raised, accompanied by the national anthem of the UAE.
