„Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation. „ Brian Tracy

The Power of Gratitude —channeled through Marisa Ferrera

Much has been written about the power of gratitude and yet it is so misunderstood. Giving thanks is not just about making a long list of things you would not wish to be without. It is about truly appreciating all the blessings in your life including what you may consider as not so great. How many of you give thanks when you lose a job or when something doesn’t turn out as you had planned or expected. When these situations arise, many of you go into despair wondering what you did wrong or you worry about how you are going to handle it all. No matter what happens in your life, it is all in Divine Order. There is never a need for you to beat yourself up or tell yourself, “If only I did this or that, things would have turned out differently.”

You are on a journey of remembering who you are and EVERYTHING you experience in your life is an opportunity to remember more and more. When things are not working out the way you had hoped or if a situation happens that you would call unfortunate or sad or unpleasant, we invite you to give thanks for ALL of it, trusting that it is serving a purpose

in bringing you closer and closer to your truth. Rather than say, “Why me?” or “Why is this happening to me” with a feeling of despair, give thanks and then ask from your heart and soul, “Show me what this situation is here to teach me. How can this situation lead me closer to my heart’s desires and to my True Self?” You can only give thanks for what may at first appear to be unfortunate circumstances when you KNOW and TRUST deep within your heart and soul that things are not how they appear and no matter what happens in your life, it can all lead you to more peace, joy, love and abundance, but only if you are willing to see the Truth and focus on giving thanks and looking for the good in everything.

Marisa’s Musings I’ve certainly done my share of beating myself up when things in my life didn’t go as I had planned or hoped for. I’ve often made myself wrong in these situations because I really believed things would have turned out differently if I had done things differently. Even though this is true, I now

understand that it doesn’t mean I did anything wrong. The truth is that I always did the best that I could with the knowledge and tools that I had at the time and telling myself that I “should” or “shouldn’t” have done this or that only made me spiral into deeper and deeper feelings of despair.

As much as I still find it challenging at times to give thanks for things that show up in my life that are not what I really want, I’m getting better and better at looking for the blessing in ALL things and giving thanks with a deeper knowing that everything can be transformed into something good.

SILVER LININGS by Karen

Wiltshire

Gratitude goes far beyond please and thanks to you. We all have beautiful life experiences, as well as turbulent occurrences. Those dark moments that block our heads and hearts that seem so powerful, where we simply feel stuck. It is in these dark corners that we have the potential to find our 'Silver Linings'. When I rewind the video of my life, the mountains I needed to climb or chip away at, offered me to find and use the tools that I needed outside of these events. Now I understand why they happened and I learned to cultivate selfcompassion and for that I'm am deeply grateful. Self-compassion has allowed me to regain emotional and physical health and to simply be grateful. There are times when I slip and feel inadequate. But now instead of wallowing in it, I write in my gratitude journal. Gratitude journals are a gentle reminder of just how blessed we are and to look at just how much we take for granted. When I journal in the evening, I write down every positive that happened that day. It offers reflection and teaches resilience. This is something that children could benefit from as well. Gratitude is becoming an important part

of psychology. A definition from Harvard Medical School is as follows: 'a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives whether tangible or intangible with the goodness in their lives. As a result, gratitude also helps people connect to something larger than themselves as an individual - whether to other people, nature, or a higher power'. That is what happened to me. For a very long time I felt stuck, but with the cocktail of the daily practice of gratitude and stirring up my faith, I began a new way of thinking and know without a doubt that God is in control. I have what I call my 'oh well' column. When I cannot control circumstances or handle them on my own, I put them in this column. I know without a doubt that God will take care of them. No matter where you are in your life find things and people to be thankful for. Try to have a positive outlook as difficult as it can be sometimes. Know that God sees you, your sadness, your loneliness, your mistakes but most importantly your heart. What I have also learned is when I live with a negative manner, I lose sight of the good and even pray in a begging sort of way. Now I begin my prayers with thank you God and my days are filled up with his goodness.

Another function or gratitude is reciprocity - a 'pay it forward' or a 'snowball' effect. When there is an act of kindness and a sincere 'thank you ' is given, this opens up one spiritually to appreciation, fairness, and kindness. It teaches us to be more optimistic, combats depression, teaches us patience and opens up a door for physical and emotional health and well being. Research is exploring the effects of practicing gratitude alongside psychological counseling and it is encouraging that over time people can be healthier and happier. When you are in tune with gratitude, you are in tune with your true self. You can unwrap the gifts of the universe as well as wrap them up for someone else. Gratitude offers insight, it is free of cost and it holds hidden powers I am grateful that I was chosen to be the mom of two fabulous women, Kate and Meg and for all the love I feel for them. I am thankful for the beginning and the end of experiences, both positive and negative, the lessons that I am continuously learning, for the bed I sleep in, the roof over my head, for winter, spring, summer and fall, for my teacup poodle Charlotte, for my extended family and friends, for my health, for love and loss, for my faith that is being stretched every day, for nature and and it's beauty, for my value on this earth and the earth I value, for night and day, the stars that shine bright in the velvet sky, fresh food

and clean water, for my intuition of sensing when someone needs my help, for my sense of humour, for the parents I had and the five brothers and three sisters I get up with, for work and play, for my work and volunteering, for people who smile and say good morning, for coffee and peanut butter on crackers, for light warm rain, for that first snowfall of the year, for the first day when I don't have to wear a heavy coat or boots, for bubble baths, the smell of fresh cut grass and the smell of burning wood, forgiveness and surrender, for the new love that I have not met yet but know you are waiting for me just as I am waiting for you, for sunrise and sunset, for prayer and protection, for knowing I do not walk this world alone as there is without a doubt divine forces surrounding me, for the gifts I give and the ones I receive and I truly grateful that I am part of the Conscious Creators family. So when you are enveloped by the storm look up to those dark clouds and if you look hard and long enough you will see the light of the sun trying to break through and the silver that lines each one. "Grief never ends. It is a passage. Not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness. Nor a lack of faith. It is the price we pay for love". Have Courage and Be Kind. Gratitude by Camy De Mario

When gratitude becomes an essential part of our daily life, we can witness immediate beneficial transformations. Through the energy of gratitude we are able to unlock the doors towards our successes. Honoring a kind gesture towards us from our heart it is selfless and allows all the positive energies from the Universe to embrace us and expand our abilities to love and appreciate others. This compassionate behavior is greatly encouraged by any type of faith and spirituality. In fact it is by all means, the essence of our ultimate victory. The simplicity of a “Thank You” has a remarkable effect not just to whom has been directed to, but in a greater way to ourselves. It creates a deep sense of well being, both emotionally and physically. It connects us to the infinite abundance that the Universe has in store for us.

Without any doubt when we show our gratitude, we activate one of the highest energetic vibrations which penetrates our soul’s essence. Gratitude lifts up our heart and expands it, filling it up with joy, while attracting more love and abundance. The most powerful action is to be grateful to the Universe for all that we have at the present moment and for all the beautiful things that are coming our way. It is a great example of faith and it will bring our own dreams and goals to life. Each morning, after waking up, it is the perfect time to show gratitude for a new day of wonderful opportunities. One of the most powerful way to express it is through journaling. All of us should have a special journal just for “Gratitude”. Once we settle in our own sacred space and we start writing down our blessings, we activate the power of the Universe which will bring us even more blessings

through many different mysterious ways.

the healing process to begin.

Although we all know that sometimes things don’t go as well as we have expected, there is always a reasons for those setbacks.

Understanding the very important role of gratitude and applying those feelings to anything that surrounds us, can lead us to the most meaningful life.

We cannot become discouraged or defeated by any obstacles or difficult circumstances that may appear in front of us during our life’s journey.

About Camy

We have to firmly believe that those moments are an opportunity for us to grow. We must learn to accept Divine timing for anything to be resolved in the best way possible and always show appreciation in order to fulfill our desires.

Her journaling and drawings supported her continuous and courageous efforts in overcoming struggles, so she decided to take “art therapy” classes.

We should be grateful for life itself. It would be the most noble sentiment. It is the greatest gift that had been given to us and it must be cherished and respected. Also nature, animals and the entire environment should be part of our daily appreciation. We stay alive for the plants that produce oxygen, for the sun that keeps us warm and creates natural energy and the moon that keeps the earth stable. The earth needs to heal more now than ever before. When we recognize how deep is our connection and relationship with the earth, we need to shift our thoughts into appreciation for it. Only by this step of gratitude we allow

Grateful Light by Natasha Botkin

achievement of staying stuck in the bleak Illumination grows and grows after a prayer is sent, but what stops for some where others succeed? The Divine works with simplicity. Ego works with complexity. It is this simple. Free will complicates so much and Divine will helps us along our path. Simplicity occurs when we learn to let go of expectations. That’s when the Divine magic begins. Using gratitude amplifies your success. The more grateful you are, the easier things flows to you and the easier life flows for you. How to Identify the Complex Ego: Sometimes the ego can seem like it is a helper; but it is not. The ego likes to make messes and cause fearful problems. If you know that you need to do something, but feel anxious; this is ego. If want to do something and just cannot seem to move; this is ego’s resistance. Ego is the negative speaker in your life. It really believes that it is protecting you, but it is causing much conflict. The ego love chaos and the more chaos the happier the ego. Check in and ask yourself how do you feel? Many times, your feelings are what govern your

ego or moving through Divine success. This means letting go of complacency. Egos like routine. Egos enjoy feeling safe. However, this leaves you in a dark space of complication. How to use Simplicity:  Make a prayer request.  Allow the divine to speak to you.  Most give up just before the miracle occurs.  Reflect on something that just seemed to go your way.  Remember those feelings and emotions.  Trust those feelings.  Be grateful; the more grateful you are the easier the divine light arrives. Gratitude to the Rescue: A grateful heart is a happy heart. Joy is from the divine. Joy is simple. Gratitude raises your vibrational energy; this is what brings joy. The Divine joy filled light arrives in your auric field; this

is the sacred space from within. This rests deep within you. A grateful heart attracts more loving light. Aesop wrote thousands of years ago, “Gratitude is the sign of noble souls.” Experiencing gratitude is one of the greatest connections to your soul. Your soul is of the divine; created in the most auspicious way. There is no room for dissidence when you are filled with gratefulness. You are filled to the brim with spiritual light and love; this provides a higher vibrational level. Step into the love space and feel a happy fulfillment and well-being.

Making Space for Gratitude: 1. 2.

3. 4. 5. 6.

Write a thank you note. As you prepare for bed; say: “Thank you, I am grateful for...” and list everything that you are grateful for this day. Light a gratitude candle and say, “I am thankful for...” Take a gratitude walk. Write in a journal all the things that inspired you today. Say thank you to the Divine for all that you have.

THE MAGICAL WORLD OF NUMBERS

disappointing relationships, financial woes that just need to be dealt with.

JULY …. rest, relax, vacation Even though the month of July starts out with picnics, fireworks and parades, this seventh month of the calendar year is just the opposite energetically. Chill out, kick back, go on vacations in July should become the norm. Statistically, more people go on vacation in July than any other month of the calendar year. Somehow the soul knows it needs to rest. Physically, one can feel moopydoopy under this seventh calendar month influence. “And God rested on the seventh day” certainly explains the sabbatical energy of July. As a transit in a personal chart during any given month, a Seven says slow down your life. If one does not slow down, their health can be used by the soul to just shut them down for many days with flu, colds, bodily injuries,

As a personality, I call this birthday Number Seven the Greta Garbo energy....”I vant to be alone”! Have you ever been to a party where all are displaying physical signs of hilarity and yet there is this one individual who seems to be “somewhere else”? Appearing unemotional, aloof, quiet and reserved, one gets the distinct impression he is viewing all emotionalism as rather immature. If you have had this experience, you just might be in the presence of a person born on the seventh, sixteenth or twenty-fifth of any given month. Don't be misled, however. Beneath this analyzing, secretive energy breathes a sensitive and caring individual. Frequently, the emotions of the Number Seven are so buried in its spiritual and intuitive chemistry that they may never see the “light of day”. Finding spiritual connections in aloneness, this mystical and deep personality can drift off into philosophical dissertations that leave its listeners scratching their heads in wonderment. The Number Seven is not one of the best financial energies so choices need to be made to keep monies in balance. The Number Seven temperament has the potential to be good in business but frequently does not follow through on its plans. On the other hand, there is a

tendency to complete all projects in general. The Number Seven is the ego Number causing an analytical and skeptical approach to life to be predominant. This then leads to a sense of perfectionism which in turn can cause difficulties in relationships. To be involved in a marriage with a Number Seven takes a special person who understands Number Seven's need to be alone. This is not the best basis for a fifty-fifty arrangement! The key is to unlock the bottledup emotions that could create the rough times and once that is done and understood, Number Seven's personality tends to be a loyal and faithful marriage partner. Counteracting their fears and loneliness issues, Number Seven partners settle nicely into family life and greatly appreciate the affectionate gestures of loved ones. Number Seven energies tend to express love and feelings from a spiritual base and thus seem to have difficulty returning all the “hugs and kisses” in an effusive, emotional way. When adding the month, day and year of birth together resulting in a Seven Number, know there will be a quest to discover truth within as the hallmark of this incarnation. However, the ego and mind are extremely powerful in this individual thus causing thinking and analyzing to override the awesome intuitive and clairvoyant energy ability it possesses.

The natural urge is to intellectually know and then to obtain specifics from a technical point of view all of life's experiences. The middle years of life from thirty to fifty-five, gently and intuitively nudges the human to develop a spiritual approach. It is this pushing by the soul that makes the personality want to be alone more. In the aloneness, the Higher Self can get through the ego and mind. Nature offers a very good support system by prompting the Number Seven to want to be in nature, around water, in the mountains or desert providing the solitude to just think. At heart, Number Sevens love change and travel. They have a very restless nature. Their interest in far off lands often makes them extremely good writers, researchers, painters or poets. Interests also lie in computers, science or the occult. Whatever their interests, though, their own peculiar philosophy eventually creeps into their work. Number Sevens care little about the material things of life. If they become wealthy from their ideas or methods of business they are just as likely to make donations from their wealth to charities or institutions. Although the Number Seven may say very little, he observes a great deal. His sense of dignity and the need for the finer things of life lead Number Seven to experience the joy of living. In an emergency situation, the Number Seven's first response is to pray. This deeply introspective Number Seven energy, if off course, can be interpreted as “depression”. To cover the hyper-intuitive rumblings going on within, Number Sevens may also turn to abuse of drugs and alcohol to quiet their inner selves down! On a Sunday or Monday, the luck of Number

Seven can intensify if various shades of green with white and yellow are worn. Moonstone, “cat-eye” or pearls round off the Number seven's lucky energy. This quiet, introspective Number Seven personality brings to us all the gentle, spiritual vibrations that are so needed to slow us down in this fast-paced world we live in. Number Sevens need to be a solitary figure, connecting the earth energy to all of us through it's intuitive and clairvoyant abilities. In doing so, it would justify it's reputation as the “Alone Ranger”.

August…money, power, authority August, the Eighth month of our calendar year, finds our energy picking up in a more dynamic way from the slow-down of July. The practical pace of life accelerates and mental reasoning about the “now” kicks in. The Number Eight applies to the human condition in more ways that just a calendar monthly influence. The perfect metaphor for the Number Eight is Frosty the Snowman. The Number Eight represents two worlds-the material and the spiritual. Therefore, it is like two circles touching each other and working together just

like Frosty. Not only does the natural physical form of Frosty look like the symbol Eight but the fact that he has such a cold exterior yet warm, feeling heart only accentuates the similarities. Numbers are simply codes of information like a language. The codes, we call letters associated with the Number Eight are H, Q, and Z. There should be only one of these letters in a birth name to be balanced in its experience. However, where more Eights appear, then life, especially in younger years can be a bit challenging… money and emotional power-wise. Number Eight personalities and energies express their love from a more mental and logical level and because of their deep and intense nature, others, on first approach, may feel that Number Eights are emotionally cold individuals. This obviously can lead to misunderstandings in the early part of relationships. However, anyone who believes the Number Eight to be uncaring and lacking in affection is in for a big surprise! Ironically, when it comes to love with passion, intensity and warmth, Number Eight wins the prize. He would most likely be attracted to those born in January, March, May or October with birthdays Three, Four, Six or Eight. Although not inclined to be extravagant, Number Eight individuals are extremely generous. Number Eight is noted for large gestures such as donating money to institutions or becoming a collector. Striving to maintain balance between family and career, with the career usually winning out, provides the Number Eight personality with those trappings to loved ones that show off the fruits of its labors The latest model car, the grandest house in town are all to show the world that Number Eight has the money and power to accomplish.

Whether the Number Eight is one’s birthday number, emotional self Number from birth name vowels or Life Path Number from month, day, year totals, this born executive is inclined to start managing in whatever situation he steps into whether it be family, homemaker, corporate office or bank. Number Eight dislikes waste, does not like to be rushed or controlled in any way, and usually displays fairness in its dealings. As a boss, he is usually a responsible leader to his workers and co-workers and they will have a tendency to trust his integrity. This manager operates in a systematic and methodical style using wise and practical judgment. Partnerships are agreeable as long as Eight controls the interest and deals with all the finances. Thus, the business world usually attracts the Number Eight where he can put into play his progressive and creative ideas. However, Number Eight is also the Number of Saturn, the Lord of Karma so caution must prevail. The adage “as you sew so shall you reap” applies intensely and many an unethical “creative idea” has brought Number Eight to his financial “knees” in bankruptcy court! In ancient Tarot symbols, Number Eight is the STRENGTH card or the JUSTICE card depending on the deck used. Either way, human

justice is required. The motto for Number Eight is “I use” so balance, justice and strength are required in all human relationships. Children born in August seem, from the beginning, to have an older person’s head on its shoulders. There will be a tendency to associate with children older than itself. Of all children, the Number Eight birth month child is the most misunderstood and succumbs to bouts of loneliness. Parents need to encourage their Number Eight child to take an open and positive approach to life. Overcoming the negativity associated with the Saturnian influence is very important as they seem to be affected by stressful circumstances more than anything else. This influence usually lasts between ages birth to twenty-eight. The actual day of birth shows more clearly the energy of Number Eight greatly influencing life energetically between ages thirty and fifty-five. Whether the birthday number is eight, seventeen or twenty-six some basic temperament issues apply. Although highly skilled as a manager and executive, the ability to be a fine judge of character is in play. Although more fixed in their ways, this Number vacillates between extremes of thrift one minute and extravagance the next. Should the birth number be seventeen, writing ability and analytical skills get added into the character traits. This Number should actually strive to be the boss and get others to oversee the details of day-to-day operations. The more creative or artistic of the Eights is number Twenty-Six. This energy likes dealing with humanity’s desire for the better, material, comforts in life. Of all the Eights, this Number holds a concentration upon family and loved ones and is known to be quite generous in

supplying comforts to other family members outside their own.

Snowman, it is the warmth of love (the sun) that melts the cold exterior allowing the real Frosty to be born again “another day.
