Zoo’s Remembrance Day event has limited space Attendance at Remembrance Day ceremonies in Scarborough continues to grow, and organizers of the Toronto Zoo’s event were warning about its limited space.
As in years past, veterans and guests at the zoo’s Waterside Theatre this Friday, Nov. 11, will be let into the zoo for free between 9:30 and 11 a.m. The zoo, however, said it apol-
ogizes “if not all zoo guests can be accommodated” at the 10:55 a.m. ceremony, which has seen “continually growing attendance” from year to year. A parking fee will also be charged except to

which is at Danforth Avenue and Kingston Road and begins at 10:45 a.m., has also drawn larger numbers. Police will assist people in crossing lanes of traffic to reach the cenotaph.
