RESTAURANT WEEK IS RETURNING TO WAILEA

for Wailea Resort’s exciting dinner promotion, “Restaurant Week Wailea.” This celebration of Wailea’s finest cuisine will take place at 19 participating resort restaurants throughout Wailea starting Sunday, May 26th, through Saturday, June 1st. Wailea Resort is well known for its award-winning culinary talent, delectable restaurants and celebrity chefs, who have once again created some remarkable three course, pre-fixe menus for just $29*, $39* or $49* per person (*depending on the restaurant - beverages, tax and gratuity not included).
Some restaurants have enhanced this promotion, by creating wine pairings to enjoy with your meal, at a very special price. “Restaurant Week Wailea proudly supports the Maui Food Bank,” said Bud Pikrone, General Manager, Wailea Community Association. “Thousands of dollars have been raised from each Restaurant Week Wailea celebration and we look forward to once again supporting the Maui Food Bank,“ said Pikrone. Each participating restaurant has agreed to make a contribution to the Maui Food Bank for every pre-fixe entrée sold during Restaurant Week Wailea, as part of the resorts community giving. ICE CREAM SOCIAL – MARK YOUR CALENDARS Don’t forget to join us at next quarter’s ice cream social on Friday, July 19 from 2 to 3:30pm. RSVP is required. The Ice Cream Socials, hosted by the general manager for store managers and owners, are now held quarterly.

Lei Day was created in 1927 by Don Blanding who worked at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He thought all would embrace this new, uniquely Hawaiian holiday. And so, in 1929 it became an official holiday in Hawai‘i. Lei Day celebrations continue today marking the first day of May with leimaking competitions, concerts, and the giving and receiving of lei among friends and family.
