Port of Chehalis

Founded in 1986, the Port of Chehalis is a specialpurpose local government agency governed by 3 elected commissioners. The mission of the Port of Chehalis is to grow and diversify the local economy, and to foster high-quality job creation.

The Chehalis Industrial & Business Park is centrally located between Seattle and Portland. This Industrial-zoned campus has easy and direct Interstate 5 access at exits 72, 74, and 76, and is ideal for the transportation of goods to major shipping locations or for distribution throughout the Northwest. Rail access is also offered, which is an attractive amenity to many Industrial Park occupants. Shippers enjoy switching services several times weekly, providing access to both BNSF and UP rail lines.

Companies such as Fred Meyer, Cardinal Glass, Greenbrier Rail Services, Aluminite, Imperial Fabricating, Hardel Mutual Plywood, Cascade Hardwoods, Mohawk Carpets, Pacific Mobile Structures, and Toyota Lift NW are just a few of the more than 70 businesses in the Industrial Park providing over 3,000 jobs to our community.

We also boast cutting-edge job training opportunities, through our community partners at Centralia College and the Southwest Washington Flexible Training (SWFT) Center, to prepare workforces for any employer or job right here in our area.

Competitive land costs and a flexible local labor force make the Chehalis community a great location for business expansion or to build new facilities. Our highly-rated public school system, thriving downtown, widespread local fiber network for high-speed fiber internet, and an impressive array of outdoor recreational opportunities make the area a great place to live.
