Transportation Airport
The Chehalis-Centralia Airport (CLS) serves as a corporate and general aviation airport in Chehalis serving Southwest Washington. The 5,000’ x 140’ concrete runway can accommodate all aircraft up to medium-sized business jets. The airport sees approximately 48,000 annual operations and has roughly 65 aircraft based at the airport. These include personal aircraft and twin-engine corporate jets.

Centralia Amtrak Rail Station recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. Built in 1912, it is a symbol of Centralia’s economic foundation: rail transportation. The depot was recently restored by the City of Centralia in a $4.4 center. The airport offers a pilot’s lounge with wi-fi, internet access, weather updates, restrooms, a snack bar and a courtesy car. Riverside Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course, is located within walking distance. Additionally, the airport has easy access to many restaurants and stores. Working with its partners, the EALC is helping to identify state and federal grant funds for public infrastructure, including broadband, that will encourage and incentivize growth and provide savings for local taxpayers as well as industrial development. We have expanded our efforts to include housing and the shortages we are experiencing. New housing development with a streamlines permitting process is necessary to keep up with the projected regional growth. The EALC includes 200+ business members, including local government, education, and others. The Alliance offers programs to increase the competitiveness of local companies and provide assistance with site location and permitting issues.
