Lewis County is the home to several world-class medical facilities. Providence Centralia Hospital is the largest health care provider in the county and part of Providence, the largest health care provider in the West. Designated as a level-three trauma center, Providence Centralia has received numerous awards. It was the recipient of the Healthgrades 2021 five-star awards for care of stroke, respiratory failure, and more. The hospital also earned the 2021 Get With The Guidelines® - Heart Failure Gold Plus Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. This award recognizes Providence Centralia Hospital’s commitment and success in implementing a high standard of heart failure care by ensuring that their heart failure patients receive treatment that meets nationally accepted, evidence-based standards and recommendations. In 2018, Providence Centralia achieved Pathway to Excellence® designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, one of only three organizations in Washington to hold the designation, 150 in the United States and 159 worldwide.
Providence Centralia Hospital is the largest private employer in Lewis County with more than 800 employees. In recent years, Providence Centralia has added 3-D digital mammography, a 64-slice CT scanner, MRI technology, and a $6 million, 17,000-square-foot cancer center.

There are more than 400 physicians who work in Lewis County in allergy, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, family practice, gastroenterology, hospital medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and others. Providence Medical Group outpatient clinics include: Centralia Women’s Center, Chehalis Family Medicine, Centralia Family & Internal Medicine, Centralia General Surgery and Providence Regional Cancer System.
