HDFFA PROGRAM VEGGIERx
VeggieRx is a fresh vegetable and fruit prescription program.
“At the time I was participating in the program I was going through treatment for cancer and having surgery. It helped provide a better understanding of veggies and fruits that I normally would not eat... I felt so much better having the different veggies to cook with and veggies that I can’t afford to buy usually.”
Since 2018: Purchased over $49,000 of VeggieRx produce from 21 local farmers Provided nutrition counseling and nutrition education resources to over 400 people In 2020 alone, we positively impacted the lives of 600+ family members in Crook and Deschutes counties in partnership with our local health care system VeggieRx has provided over 7,500 meals worth of fresh, local food
