Merry Christmas and a very happy and healthy 2022 to all our readers!
Christmas Lights and Carolling! All of Stradbroke are welcome to join Lights in the churchyard on 5th Dec from 4pm will give us all a chance to meet safely to celebrate Christmas coming. The church will be open for children’s crafts, serving mulled wine, hot chocolate and biscuits. The star will shine out from the top of the tower and lights in the tree outside. Join us for all of this and singing of carols outside around the tree! Susan Loxton
Stradbroke’s Christmas Walk 2021 The Rangers are back! You are invited to join us for the traditional evening 3-mile-round-trip torchlit Christmas Walk from the Stradbroke Sports and Community Centre to Battlesea Hall on Tuesday December 21st. Upon arrival at Battlesea Hall, by kind permission of Adrian Lawson, you will enjoy a glass of Mulled Wine and a Mince Pie. As the weather will be cooler and the way possibly muddy, please wear suitable clothing, footwear and bring a torch which we hope you will use a little as possible in order to enjoy the beauty of a hopefully moon and starlit night! Unfortunately, you will not be able to bring your dogs, as there are working dogs on the farm. We want you to be aware that you will be walking at your own risk but know it will be a really enjoyable evening. We will be meeting at the Stradbroke Sports and Community Centre at 6pm prompt and there is no charge. It would be helpful if you could let us know beforehand if you wish to come along.
