It’s incredible to think a full year has nearly passed since last year’s Stradisphere Music Festival. With 2015s line up being so strong, it has been a real challenge to improve on the quality we had in previous years, but we think we may have done it! Using one simple rule. “Go Big Or Go Home!” we have successfully secured one of the world’s best tribute acts in Bon Giovi alongside tributes from Oasis, Sting & The Police, Madness & The Specials as well as Elvis. We also have the pleasure of Tess Burstone who has worked alongside the Likes of Pixie Lott & The Pink Floyd Show. We have also searched high and low to bring you some of the best acts our region has to offer, who will be featured throughout the whole weekend. Walkway who regularly support Status Quo and are one of East Anglia’s biggest bands and alongside them are The Signs, formally Twisted Piglet, who have supported acts such as Lulu and The Proclaimers. As always we work tirelessly to deliver an event for all the family, there will be various stalls and activities for all. Again a donation will be made to Help For Heroes and the Main Stage will forever have James Griggs name. We also intend to use money from raffles to support music projects within the community. Stradisphere has financially invested the most it ever has purchasing its own Stage, Lighting and other equipment. We have recruited a professional design and PR team to work alongside the already existing committee. We have also now officially recruited our newest team member, our mascot “Peaky” the Astronaut. Tickets will be available online up to the event (with E-tickets home printing) and in the Spar and the Library whilst stocks last.

Gates open Friday from 5pm

(Gate Price £15) Featuring: Elvis, Tess Burstone, Bon Giovi & many more Gates open Saturday From 11am

Good – Bad Happy- Sad My friend Norman tells this story. As a lad growing up on the family farm, his mother always made her own scrumptious Christmas puddings, two to be eaten at Christmas and the third stored in the farmhouse pantry as a special treat for dad’s birthday in April. However, one year when mother went to prepare the birthday lunch as she lifted the pudding bowl from the top shelf she was surprised to find how light the bowl was and on looking she found a small hole in the greaseproof where a mouse had entered the bowl and over time had totally devoured the pudding. The bowl was clean with only a few mouse droppings inside. Result - one very happy mouse, one very sad dad, or one well fed mouse and one hungry father. By the time you read this article the results of the referendum will be known, to leave or to remain in the European Union. Some people will be over-the-moon whilst others will be distressed and fearful of the future. Time alone will reveal the wisdom or folly of the public vote. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but sadly not helpful in this or any other situation. It is not part of human capacity to be able predict the future. Only Almighty God knows the future: the fulfillment of prophecy in the Bible is unique. The record deserves our scrutiny and equally we need to be aware and heed the Bible’s predictions regarding our future. And finally THANKS Three months ago I asked for help in running our Cameo Lunch Club. Two kind ladies have now joined the helpers and in June we were able to provide a delicious meal for thirty six people. Thanks! Stradbroke All Saints Fundraising Committee The committee worked so hard to make the Flower Festival so successful. 29 arrangements adorned the church depicting the Queens 90th Birthday, and our grateful thanks go to all who arranged the flowers. The Grand Raffle was well supported with Nick Stones winning the £50. Our thanks must go to Spar for their most generous donation. Approx £1,100 was raised. A worthwhile contribution to our funds. The Baptist church kindly gave books on the Queen as well. Our next fund raising is the Village Show organised by Roly Copping. Shedules are out, so please enter the various categories and make Rolys efforts worthwhile. Just a note for your diary. October 7th Hattie Bennett is visiting us for a “Cello evening”. Not to be missed. She has now been awarded an MBE in the Queens Honours List. So keep this date free. We are also having a Summer Vintage Afternoon Tea in the Rectory garden. More details next month. Thanks for all your contributions to the raffle. Mary Ellis

All Saints - From the Rectory Dear friends and neighbours Firstly, I need to tell you that Fressingfield church will be closed to visitors, unless by appointment, from 13th June to the beginning of September while the inside is redecorated; likewise Metfield will also be closed for a few weeks as contractors redecorate. This, of course, will mean disruption to our services As I was thinking about the need to move services, the recent tragic events in Weybread, and that at any one time, many of us are coping with major change in one way or another, for example illness, bereavement or unemployment, I realised that there are not many certainties in life either, only the one we all have in common, which is death, and we rarely talk about it. Death brings a lot of change, sadness, loneliness, sometimes a need to move house or financial difficulty. It’s different for each of us but all of us will experience change. As a Christian, I believe in life after death; heaven, a place of beauty and the bible talks not about death as much as eternal life. But of course, whatever you believe, change is going to be part of the outcome; but God is unchanging; he loves us whether we acknowledge him or not. Jesus said to his disciples and he says the same to those who follow him today; ‘You did not choose me but I chose you’. I believe in a God of loving mercy, who, when we take a tentative step towards him, opens wide his arms and says ‘Come, I have been waiting, because I choose you. With God on our side, we need never fear change. May you know God’s blessing this summer time. Susan

Life in the Legion—The Royal British Legion (Stradbroke and District Branch) From the Chairman’s Desk For various reasons attendance was down at our recent meeting at the Laxfield Oak. Bernard Mills spoke on the recent RBL Conference, and I thanked him on behalf of members, he also presented the Secretary and Treasurer’s reports. Recently branch members Ted Bootle, President, and Alan King attended a reception at Stowmarket RBL Club hosted by the Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk, Clare, Countess of Euston to honour the ten WW2 “D” Day veterans from Suffolk who have been awarded the Legion of Honour by the French Government. Michael Burton

W.I. The ladies of the W.I 27 of us plus 3 visitors, gathered in happy anticipation of an evening of ladies fashion through the ages to be presented by Kindra Jones and they were not disappointed. First we had our usual robust rendering of Jerusalem followed by Gill and Jane dealing with the general business and informing us of the marks our members received for their offerings at the Suffolk Show. These were good marks but not enough to win the coveted first prize and we say well done and thank you to the ladies who were brave enough to enter the competition on our behalf, Carol Darling, Jane Gemmill, Carol Bird, Betty Chittock, Patricia Wodward, Phyllis Gunn and Annie Harbrow are their names, a talented bunch. The pieces were on display for our delectation and admiration and we were all most impressed by them. The presentation of birthday posies came next and thanks expressed to our hostesses for the evening. Among our visitors was Kamal Ivory who has decided to join us as of July and so we say welcome to her and thank you for joining ,we hope you will be happy with us. On to the presentation of the evening as Kindra introduced herself giving us a brief history of how she came to be so involved in historical costumes having worked at Kentwell Hall in full costume and experienced for herself the problems of wearing such heavy and restricting garments, particularly long woollen skirts in wet weather, memories of wet dogs come to mind. The demonstration started with the basics ,that is underwear and corsets. Oh my word I am so glad that we have moved on from the multiple layers, laces and stays that defined the shape a lady should, or as often as not, should not display to the world, although some of the elasticated garments of today can be pretty challenging to wear. With the aid of slides and an impressive ability to quick change from one outfit to the next Kindra led us through a time warp of fashion from the 12 to the 20 century displaying the eccentricities of design and the absolute glory of some of the beautiful silks used for the gowns of the higher class ladies, Jane looked pretty good in a shot silk gown and train of green blue silk as she roamed the hall after the talk, serious envy. The evening passed so quickly in haze of fabric and colour all beautifully displayed and demonstrated and our questions answered with great knowledge. Thanks were offered by Joyce Lee heartily endorsed by us all and we were then able to examine the garments for ourselves and wonder once again at the feel of the fabrics and the horror of the corsets. Refreshments were served and amid much chatter we reconvened to finish the business of the evening before departing until our July meeting. The meeting on July 14 at 7.30pm is an open meeting when Gold Medallist from the Chelsea Flower Show Jenny Baker will be demonstrating her skills in flower arranging and it is hoped that as many folk who can will join us for a small fee of £4, which will include light refreshments, and enjoy the evening with the displays being raffled at the end of the presentation. Do come and join us, we look forward to seeing you and enjoying an excellent evening. Tickets are available from Gill Bird on 388418, June Hampson on 388418 and Jane Gemmill on 384518. th

Stradbroke pupils appear on BBC’s Spring Watch Unsprung On Tuesday 14 June, a group of 13 Stradbroke High School pupils set off to RSPB Minsmere with Deputy Headteacher, Mr Axtell. First, they were all signed in and rushed into the Discovery Centre for a safety talk. After a small wait, the group walked to the television studio. They all met the floor director and were put into their place ready for their T.V. appearance. A special few were chosen to hold some pictures up for television viewers to see, three of whom were from Stradbroke. When everyone was in the studio, they all watched a fascinating show presented by Springwatch presenter Chris Packham. Pupils listened to one special guest, an Olympic Gold Medallist in Skeleton Bobsleigh, who had reached an amazing 92 miles per hour on her bob. Another guest pupils met was an author who has written books about nature, her most recent being ‘Rain’. Finally, when the filming was over, they walked back to the minibus and were driven back to school. By Erin Myhill, Noah Most and Brandon-Lee Studd th

The Stradbroke Trust The Trustees of the Stradbroke Trust (formerly known as The Stradbroke Charitable Trust) would like to let you all know who we are and what we do. There are five Trustees – Peter Smith (Chairman), Caroline Barnes (Treasurer), Stuart Crane, Roger Turkington and Jane Merritt (Secretary). The Trust was set up in 1995, with its principle aim of building the Stradbroke Medical Centre, for the benefit of the residents of Stradbroke. The Trust pays an annual rent to the Parish Council, for the land and receives a monthly rent for the Medical Centre, from the NHS. Over the last 21 years, the Trust has initiated and completed the following major projects. Maintenance and improvements to the Medical Centre; an outdoor fitness track with exercise equipment and drainage of the Playing Field; the purchase of a 6 acre field for allotments, with Community woodland and orchard; the building of a Community store on the Playing Fields for all the Sports Clubs; the creation of a 300m permissive path from the centre of the village to the cemetery and a £10,000 donation for the creation of a multi-use games area at the High School. The total cost of the above was approximately £250,000. The Trust’s status and expertise, has enabled it to attract grant funding and local donations of approximately £200,000, the remainder derived from the rent received from the NHS. At this moment in time, the Trust has just modified the Medical Centre, to create a secure and larger airconditioned Dispensary, in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission, at a cost of around £12,000. We meet four times a year, more if needed and intend to inform you of our future projects, after these meetings. If you would like to know more about the Trust, then please contact any of the Trustees. Jane Merritt. (Secretary for The Stradbroke Trust)

Stradbroke Archive and Records Association Summer Fun Stradbroke has always enjoyed a summer party and whether it’s called the Fancy fair, Japanese fair, Street fair or more recently Navy Day, the village each summer comes together to have fun - so finding the following article in The London Gazette dated 5th January 1872 is a bit of a puzzle: ‘The Fairs Act 1871 - Stradbroke Fairs. Whereas a representation has been duly made to me as Secretary of State for the Home Department by the Justice sitting in the Petty Sessional Division of Hoxne, in the county of Suffolk, that Fairs have been annually held in the parish of Stradbroke, in the said division of the said county, on the third Monday in the month of June and on the 2nd day of October and that it would be for the convenience and advantage of the public that the said Fairs should be abolished: And whereas notice of the said representation and of the time when I should take the same into consideration has been duly published in pursuance of “The Fairs Act, 1871”. And whereas on such representation and consideration it appears to me that it would be for the convenience and advantage of the public that the said Fairs should be abolished: And whereas it appears that there is no lord or owner of the said Fairs and the tolls thereof: Now therefore, as the Secretary of State for the Home Department in exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Fairs Act 1871,” do hereby order that the Fairs which have been annually held in the parish of Stradbroke , in the Petty Sessional Division of Hoxne, in the county of Suffolk, on the said Monday in the month of June, and on the 2nd day of October, shall be abolished as from the date of this Order. Given under my hand at Whitehall this 4th day of January, 1872 http://www.stradbrokearchive.org.uk/items/show/502 (Signed) H A Bruce’ There may be a clue as to why these fairs were being abolished in the introductory text to the act where it says: “Whereas certain of the fairs held in England and Wales are unnecessary, are the cause of grievous immorality, and are very injurious to the inhabitants of the towns in which such fairs are held, and it is therefore expedient to make provision to facilitate the abolition of such fairs: “ Oh dear! Radio Stradbroke The Stradisphere Music Festival lasts 16 hours, yet for Radio Stradbroke it started almost as soon as last years finished. Striving to offer a better service each year motivates us all. As usual, every minute will be broadcast on www.radiostradbroke.co.uk from 4pm on Friday with DJ Richard Pierce warm up show, until “Definitely Mightbe” take their final bow on Saturday night. But it doesn’t end there. Each act will be edited and appear as a podcast, for those who attended the festival to hear again, & will be re-run between future broadcasts. It is the one time in the year when we don’t want listeners. We encourage people to attend the festival, but as we reach all four corners of the planet, listening in is the next best thing. A full running order will appear on the website. Stradisphere is the jam, “Summer Music Nights” is the bread & butter, continuing on Wednesdays between 8pm – 10pm throughout July & August, with the exception of July 6th & 13th, when Stradisphere & rehab take precedence. So July 8th & 9th, Stradbroke Playing Field, buy your tickets, come and meet the team, put faces to those voices you hear on the airwaves. Radio Stradbroke is here to stay, Stradisphere is here to stay. It would be like Morecambe without Wise, or the EU without the UK . Michael Hugman

INTRODUCING HEVENINGHAM HALL’S INAUGURAL CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE Heveningham Hall, the 18 Century country estate in Suffolk, has announced plans to host an inaugural Concours d’Elegance on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 July in association with auctioneers Bonhams as part of celebrations to mark the Grade I listed Georgian mansion’s 20 annual Country Fair and Capability Brown’s Tercentenary. The Concours, which will take place in the 5,000 acre estate’s Capability Brown parkland, will play host to 50 spectacular pre and post-war automobiles with trophies available in both these categories. Commenting on the Concours, Andrew Hall, speaking on behalf of Heveningham Hall, said: “We are inviting exhibitors with particularly rare marques to participate in our first ever show field, which will be set against a backdrop of other attractions including aerobatic displays and vintage aeroplanes landing and taking off throughout the weekend.” The annual Heveningham Hall Country Fair typically sees around 15,000 visitors descend on the 18 Century Estate and each year the Heveningham Hall Country Fair Trust distributes all proceeds to the local communities for village and school projects, church repairs and individual cases of need. A 10km run on Sunday 3 July also specifically raises money for ‘Get Kids Going’, a national charity that provides disabled children and young people with the opportunity to participate in sport. Parachute Party in aid of hospice Adrenaline junkies are invited to join the Parachute Party this July in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice. The local charity is looking for groups of people to join them and dozens of other supporters to skydive on Saturday 16 July at Beccles Airfield. The hospice is hoping to have a record number of people in St Elizabeth Hospice history jumping - all in one day! Joanne Rodger, St Elizabeth Hospice’s events and challenges fundraiser, said: “This year we are holding our first Parachute Party and we are looking for groups of friends, colleagues and families to enjoy the exhilarating experience of jumping out of a plane 10,000ft above ground – on the same day.” Where possible, groups will be able to go up in the plane together, and skydive one after the other. Each skydiver is asked to pay a £50 deposit and to raise a minimum of £300 for the hospice. Miss Rodger added: “We are hoping to have a record number of people in the hospice’s history jumping on the same day, all in aid of the hospice. “All the money raised from the skydives will go towards improving life for people living with a progressive illness such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure in East Suffolk. “We already have 15 signed up, but if we have 50 people skydiving, we can raise thousands of pounds which would help make a huge difference to our patients and their families.” For more information and to sign up visit www.stelizabethhospice.org.uk/parachuteparty, call 01473 723600 or email fundraising@stelizabethhospice.org.uk Sophie Johnson

Wingfield and District Gardening Club Our May meeting was a demonstration by Helen Hillier on how to use our flowers. She grows hardy perennials and herbs to use in the most beautiful arrangements. The first arrangement was quite upright with many herbs and wild flowers giving the feeling of a meadown. The second made good use of alliums and iris in a more structural form and the third used many small pieces of wood and lichen covered fragments of stick, more moss and herbs to make something which looked like a small piece of landscape. Finally she made the most beautiful bouquet, still slotting in the herbs and sedums amongst the flowers. All very inspiring. We take a break now until September due to other commitments! Next meeting is on 29 th September at Brundish Village Hall at 7.30 pm.

Summer of Activity Mid Suffolk and Babergh are hosting their Year of Walking, with guided walks in many towns and villages, including Nordic Walking and some themed walks – booklets are available here at the Tourist Information Centre, where we can take your bookings too. Following the active theme, we have information on all the local sports clubs. Come and see us for more details and contacts for many different activities including Bowls, Badminton, Rugby, Tennis, Fishing, and Golf. The Mix in Stowmarket are open throughout the year for youth activities and workshops, and there are many activity sessions for older people too, including New Age Kurling at the John Peel Centre on Wednesday mornings, and Yoga, Pilates and Line Dancing at Stowmarket Community Centre. Activity isn’t just about exercise – it’s about getting outdoors and exploring the area too. Many attractions have trails and treks included; at the Museum of East Anglian Life, there is a lovely nature river trail, and a children’s play area. Baylham House has a farm trail, and the Mid Suffolk Light Railway at Brockford have special open days in June and July, and they are open every Sunday. Stonham Barns have a range of activities, with fishing, mini golf, and plenty of space just to run around in. So however you are planning to spend your summer – pop in to the Tourist Information Centre in Stowmarket (just up the hill from ASDA) for some inspiration. Sue Green

Healthy Eating Tips Healthy eating is an important lifestyle choice throughout life, and we know that we are always being told to eat a balanced diet, and not overdo it with fats and sugars, but this becomes even more important as we get older and our immune system and digestive system slows down and becomes less efficient. Because of this, it is crucial that older people eat well in order to get the most of the food they eat. This includes eating more lean proteins, complex carbohydrates, and other foods rich in vitamins and minerals your body needs, while avoiding processed foods, fatty foods, or foods with high sugar. Eating in this way ensures that your body runs as efficiently as possible, keeps you healthy, and effectively fights diseases. There are also a number of other benefits you will see from a healthy diet, such as: Improvement in mood – eating right will help to balance your body, and you find yourself feeling healthier and happier from the inside out. Boosting energy – Eating healthier, and focussing on foods with a slow energy release such as wholegrains, means your body is fuelled in the right way and will provide you with consistent energy levels, rather than the energy highs and lows that come from fats and sugars. Improves longevity – Eating a healthier diet means that your body will be healthier all round, and this boosts your chances for a longer life. Controls Weight – A healthy diet and activity will mean that you lower your amount of body fat, which is great for your heart and cholesterol levels, as well as the stress on your muscles and joints. These healthy eating benefits are applicable to everyone, but it is very important as we get older. Claire Bewley Director at My Care at Home based in Stowmarket

Sports Roundup

Stradbroke Cricket Club “It has been too wet to say that the dust has settled after last months upheavals, but there is a sense of calm around the Cricket Club. The need to cut our cloth accordingly, has brought some stability, culminating in some wins, in the Two Counties League v Bury St. Edmunds, our opening T20 game v Saxmundham, & a friendly at Laxfield. Two of those were due to Matt Wise, a veteran of disruption at other clubs, with back to back centuries, reminders of his quality. The T20 game saw a one wicket win in the last over, just what the shorter format is about. Our pledge to integrate those junior players we have into the adult side has been fulfilled. Indeed half the side are Under 15’s on most occasions. What we have lost in a competitive edge, is compensated by a longer term strategy, although it is often difficult to look further ahead than next week. By my next report anything could have happened, so keep supporting what we do. Nothing was ever won without blood, sweat, & tears! Shakespeare. (Or was it Churchill?) Michael Hugman

Raising The Bar in Stradbroke The Suffolk 'Raising the Bar' Education Awards finalists have been released and a strong showing *again* for education in Stradbroke. This years finalists from Stradbroke are:

Inspirational Young Person of the Year – Secondary Aiden Perkins, Stradbroke High School Aiden is a motivated, cheeky, dedicated and hard-working young man. He is achieving well at school, but it is in his extra-curricular activities where Aiden excels. He has a real passion and talent for dancing; particularly ballet, sequence and ballroom dancing. Aiden has successfully auditioned twice for the English Youth Ballet, appearing in Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Aiden thinks very positively about his future and aims to get a scholarship to go to college or university. He is determined that his past will not influence his future aspiration and who he is as a person.

Educational Setting of the Year - Stradbroke High School Stradbroke High School’s results are among the highest in the county. In 2015, it entered the top 4% of schools nationally for value added following a marked upward trajectory over the last four years. At its last Ofsted, Stradbroke High School was described as a ‘rapidly improving school’, and this trend continues. The school ensures that all young people have a curriculum that they enjoy and in which they can flourish. While sustaining its own improvement, Stradbroke High School has worked with a local primary school, supporting the school to go from special measures to outstanding in just three years.

Excellence in Governance - James Hargrave, Stradbroke Primary School. James has been Chair of Governors at Stradbroke CEVC Primary School for more than ten years. During that time he has helped the school progress and grow in its capacity to support others. He successfully helped to create a collaboration with All Saints Laxfield Primary, and after just over a year the two schools federated. James is a Governor for the Steering Committee of the Suffolk and Norfolk Teaching School Alliance, and has recently been designated as a National Leader of Governance by the National College of Teaching and Leadership. He is a very experienced and strategic Governor who is committed to improving education for all children in Suffolk.

It’s all go up at the allotments. What was an unkempt and bare site a couple of months ago, is rapidly turning into a lush green haven of mouthwatering delights. Strawberries are coming out of our ears, and the warm wet weather is ensuring everything is growing quickly. Potatoes are being harvested, just as the asparagus and rhubarb are coming to their end. Never a dull moment, and always something to do. You can never relax with this gardening lark. Just as you sink into the chair with a cup of coffee to rest, your eyes see all the things that need doing. Everything planted – check. Everything harvested – check. Everything sown – check. Everything weeded – ah. Where did that come from? I am sure I pulled all the weeds up only last week. There is a great pleasure that comes when your allotment is weed free and tidy. (I don’t have that pleasure very often, I can tell you!) We had our plant stall recently and we raised over £80. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the stall or to our sales. We shall be having an open day on August 7 at 2pm – 4.30pm. Come and have a nose around our allotments, buy some fresh produce and have a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. We all look forward to seeing you there. Feel free to chat with us about our allotments – it is our passion. All the allotments are now taken, but we have a waiting list if you wish to join. We do have one set of raised beds left. Contact me for more details. Helenpleasance@talk21.com. Helen Pleasance th

At the time of writing, Suffolk is once again adorned with glorious sunshine, but what a shame that it wasn’t so at this year’s Suffolk Show. So much hard work and planning goes in behind the scenes in the run up to the Show, it really is testament to their efforts that the Show remains Suffolk’s premier event. Nonetheless the damp and blustery weather didn’t put many people off and once again, Trinity Park was taken over by visitors from far and wide all keen to explore the delights that our great county has to offer, not to mention taking the chance to stock up on local produce. It goes without saying that I was particularly pleased to see so many producers from my own constituency - Paddy & Scott’s, Scarlett and Mustard, Aspall’s Cyder and James White Drinks to name but a few. I always particularly look forward to attending the county’s show as I really do believe that we have a lot to shout about here in Suffolk. Whether it’s our acclaimed agricultural sector, unrivalled food and drink offering, education providers, blue light services, public services or our armed forces, it always astounds me the breadth and wealth of opportunity that is available right here on our doorstep. The Suffolk Show really does showcase the wide variety of sectors which our young people may consider as they embark on the journey from education into employment; it’s fantastic that they can experience a taste of this for themselves when visiting the impressive array of trade stands Starting off the day’s busy schedule of meetings, I was delighted to attend the Farming Help Breakfast Reception hosted by the NFU Mutual. Farming Help is a dedicated service which has been set up with the specific aim of helping the farming community when in times of need. The service pulls together the expertise of three dedicated farming charities - the Farming Community Network (FCN), the Addington Fund and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). Each of the charities involved provide different levels and types of support, but together they provide a holistic service to those in urgent need of help and assistance within the farming community. The charity receives calls on a diverse range of issues, for example, those facing financial difficulties, requests for signposting to services, and requests for emotional support. I was particularly reassured to hear that despite there being an increased number of calls from those in need of emotional support, the Farming Help service is able to signpost those in need to access medical and mental health support quickly and discreetly. Further information on the Farming Help service is available from www.farminghelp.org.uk Another fundamental issue for the farming community, of course, is the ability to access efficient and reliable broadband services. For those in more rural parts of Suffolk, it is simply essential that they can access online services, especially when considering the most vulnerable in our communities and ensuring that they can rely on good connectivity to access online help, support and access to day to day activities such as ordering a repeat prescription online or banking services. This is why I will continue to work in partnership with Suffolk County Council, my parliamentary colleagues and the business community to ensure that superfast broadband really does become available to all.
