Funfair, inflatables, circus skills training, creative craft workshops and more….there’s plenty to keep thekids entertained while you enjoy the acts, food and drink at Suffolk’s premium family music festival. Now in its 5th year Stradbroke’s annual summer music festival (6-7 July) is raising the bar with a mix of international top selling artists alongside the cream of the crop of local musical talent. With more music for mum and dad there’s also more than ever for kids to do! Alongside the ever popular inflatable slide and bouncy castles, 2018 sees the introduction of Stocks FunFair to the show ground, bringing a range of thrill seeking rides including dodgems and flying elephants that kids (and we’re sure more than a few adults) will enjoy. Let the kids spend their pocket money and keep out of your hair whilst you soak up the sun and sounds of some brilliant artists. Festival host and compere Bazza Bazar will be taking time out to run children’s circus skills workshops on Saturday and Just Add Kids Creative Workshops will be on hand to keep youngsters busy with a range of craft and other fun activities. Nurturing stars of the future, pupils from Tiddlywinks Nursery plus Stradbroke and Wilby Primary Schools will be taking to the stage on Saturday morning to open the days events with a range of well-rehearsed acts. This all takes place during a 2hours free access to the festival for all local children and their parents. Tickets will be needed to enjoy the rest of the jam packed weekend – and you’ll want to be there if only for Mercury Music Prize winner Badly Drawn Boy, who headlines on Friday night, and Number 1 chart toppers Sam and the Womp, who bring things to a close on Saturday night. Noted as one of the best value weekend festivals in East Anglia, tickets are still available at www.stradipshere.co.uk or Stradbroke Spar. See page 2 for ticket options and prices.
