New Stradbroke Website launched! The village website at http://www.stradbroke.org.uk has been around for 4 years now – a long time in the world of the Internet! On Friday 10th April at 12 noon, as part of the Easter Weekend Music Marathon the new village website was launched! The new site offers: •‘Social Networking’ features, you can easily have your own personal web page on the site and engage with other site members; •You can upload photos and videos directly onto the site - already there are lots of photos of ‘old’ Stradbroke including the very dramatic fire in the fish and chip shop! •New online village directory which allows you to add your own group or local business; •View the Stradbroke Monthly online as if it had just landed on the mat! Turn the pages with a click of your mouse! •Have a page for your village group or local business; •Submit your own events for the online Village Diary; •Share content with Facebook, Flickr and other sites you may already me a member of! •Keep up to date with all the local news and views!

Did you know? • This new site is the fourth version of the village website which first launched in 1999! Find out more and see the “old” websites online at www.stradbroke.org.uk • There were about 400 members of the third Stradbroke website! • The website has developed a very friendly and active Family History forum with visitors from around the world researching their ancestors who came from Stradbroke . • Stradbroke is the only Suffolk village, that we know about, that has its own online Radio station! Radio Stradbroke started broadcasting Easter 2006 and continues to stream to the village regularly. • Each month around 1500 different users visit stradbroke.org.uk! So come and have a look!
