Antropólogo de la Universidad de Columbia tiene un largo historial de buceo. Uno de sus más grandes inmersiones estaba en la meseta de Huautla, en México, una de las cuevas más profundas en el mundo. En 2011, Kenny Broad, junto con Wes Skilesfue nombrado “Explorer of the Year” por National Geographic. Un nuevo premio concedido en reconocimiento a sus extraordinarios logros en la exploración y documentación de los agujeros azules de las Bahamas en 2010. Actualmente es profesor en la Universidad de Miami, Director de Abess Centro de la UM y Co-Director del Centro de Investigación de la Universidad de Columbia en Decisiones Ambientales.

An Anthropologist from the University of Columbia has a long history of diving. One of his greatest dives was in the Huautla Plateau in Mexico, one of the deepest caves in the world. In 2011, Kenny Broad, along with Wes Skiles, was named “Explorer of the Year” by National Geographic. A new award presented in recognition of their extraordinary achievements in exploring and documenting the Blue Holes of the Bahamas in 2010. Currently he is a professor at the University of Miami, Director of the UM’s Abess Center and Co-Director of Columbia University’s Research Center on Environmental Decisions.

Con una formación en la gimnasia y la psicología, es atraída por las actividades relacionadas con el movimiento, conciencia, y liderar a otros a una mejor calidad de vida. Ella tiene muchas influencias y disfruta explorando una variedad de estilos y técnicas adaptadas. Esto la llevó a la creación del Bala Tula. Está especializada en el dialogo corporal en yoga, alineación y estabilización de formación para el movimiento funcional y el rendimiento deportivo, utilizando estos principios como una plataforma para todas las modalidades de la enseñanza de la salud.

With a background in gymnastics & psychology, she is drawn to activities involving movement, present awareness, & lead others a better quality of life. She has many influences and enjoys exploring a variety of adapted styles & techniques. This led her to the creation of Bala Tula. She is specialized in Body Dialogue yoga, alignment & core-stabilization training for functional movement & athletic performance, using these principles as a platform for all modalities of her fitness instruction

Estudió Relaciones Internacionales en el Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Es instructora certificada de Yoga Kundalini. Es fundadora y directora del Instituto Mexicano de Yoga, A.C. así como responsable de la organización y realización del Encuentro Nacional de Yoga y Expo Yoga. Creo el programa de Yoga Empresarial que han implantado empresas como Procter & Gamble, Nextel, Pfizer, Campbells, Gatorade, y Dow Chemical. Es autora del libro: “Yoga para la felicidad, la salud y otras cosas”, y “El Mapa de la felicidad”. Recientemente publicó el libro “Mamá te quiero Zen” en coautoría con Lourdes Botello. Es facilitadora de meditación y yoga para la organización Peace Earth del actor Forest Whitaker.

She studied the career of International Relations in the Institute of Technology of Superior Studies in Monterrey. She is a certified instructor of Kundalini Yoga. She is the founder and director of the Mexican Institute of Yoga, A.C. and responsible for the organization and conduct of the National Meeting of Yoga and Yoga Expo. She created the Corporate Yoga program that has been implemented by companies like Procter & Gamble, Nextel, Pfizer, Campbell’s, Gatorade, and Dow Chemical. She is the author of the book “Yoga for happiness, health and other things” and “The Map of Happiness”. She recently published the book “Mama I love you Zen” coauthored with Lourdes Botello. Sheis a facilitator of meditation and yoga for the organization of Peace Earth by the actor Forest Whitaker.

Javier Álvarez Pintado Surfista Profesional Professional Surfer

Originario de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Javier comenzó su carrera a la temprana edad de 14 años. Su amor por el deporte le ha permitido navegar por una gran parte de la costa mexicana Pacifica y los deportes internacionales de surf, como Indonesia, Hawai y América del Sur. Su pasión por el océano lo ha llevado a explorar actividades acuáticas alternas tales como buceo, SUP, surf, yoga, kite surf, wind surf, buceo libre y la pesca submarina.

Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Javier began his career at the tender age of 14. His devout love for the sport has allowed him to surf a large part of the Mexican Pacifica coast and international surf sports such as Indonesia, Hawaii and South America. His passion for the ocean has lead him to explore alternate water activities such as scuba diving, SUP, tow surf, yoga, kite surf, wind surf, free diving, and spearfishing.

Scott Chandler fue criado en Carlsbad, California. En la secundaria Compitió en el circuito de aficionados NSSA. Scott Chandler was Raised in Carlsbad, California. He competed in high school on the NSSA amateur circuit. He helped his high school surf team win a championship in 1982 and went on to compete as a pro in PSSA and ASP events finishing top 15 a few years on the PSSA tour and a few good showings in the ASP events. As longboarding began, Chandler competed in the ASP and finished 3 years at top 16. Also competing in PSTA and was invited to the World Championships in Hawaii in 1997. He finished in the top 3 for the past 3 years in the tube riding championships in Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, Mexico. Chandler might have been one of the first Stand Up surfers, before SUP boards were being shaped, he was surfing SUP-style, beginning eight years ago on tandem boards.

Chef Blouet began his career in 1983. The late 80’s came with man recognitions including Chef of the Year. In 1999, along with two partners, they created Café des Artistes. A 20 year career culminated with the most prestigious award of all chefs, the “Maîtres Cuisiniers de France”.

Desde temprana edad descubrió el gusto por la cocina y el servicio. Realizo estudio gastronómicos en el Instituto de alta cocina D´Gallia en Perú y cuenta con un diplomado de cocina mexicana por el Centro Culinaria Ambrosia en México. Especialista en cocina latino americana, pescados y mariscos, de regreso a Lima, ingreso al fascinante mundo hotelero y en 2007 ingreso a Hoteles Libertador, la cadena de hoteles de lujo número uno en Perú, primero como sous chef hasta que en 2010, a la edad de 26 años, asume la dirección de todas las cocinas del remodelado Hotel Paracas Luxury Collection, labor que desempeña hasta el día de hoy. Define su cocina como peruana moderna sin desatarse de las raíces clásicas. Es impulsor de las técnicas de vanguardia y fiel defensor de la pesca sostenible.

He discovered, at early age, the interest for the cuisine and service. He is a specialist in Latin American cuisine, fish and shrimp. When he came back to Lima, he began in fascinating hotel world and in 2007 he entered Hoteles Libertadores, the number 1 luxury hotel chain in Peru. He started as a sous chef. Then in 2010, at the age of 26, he assumed the position of executive chef in the Hotel Paracas Luxury Collection. He did an internship in the 3 Michelin stars laureate restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, which is considered the best in the world. His cuisine is defined like modern Peruvian without unleashing the classic roots.

El se distingue por estar siempre en vanguardia, adapta sus técnicas culinarias a los paladares locales, nacionales y busca productos de alto sabor y frescura, creando tendencias, logrando impactar al comensal.

Born in Mexico City, Tomas began his professional life studying industrial design in the city of Guadalajara; after a while he realized that was not his world. After this, he decided to follow his path in his passion: ‘The Kitchen’. He got a chance to do an internshipin ‘La Parrilladel Pobre Luis’ in Buenos Aires to master techniques in grill and smoked. Later he moved to Spain’s famous 3 Michelin star restaurant ‘Martin Berasategui’, where he perfected technique, creativity and high performance kitchen logistics. He is known for always being in the forefront culinary techniques adapted to local, national tastes and search products high flavor and freshness, creating trends, making an impact on the diner.
