TREE PROJECT Dear Woodlands Homeowners, R&R Tree Services will begin work to prune and remove dead and suffering street trees in Woodlands community January 11, 2021. Two crews with large equipment will work their way down streets starting from the Thompson Mill guard gate. R&R will direct traffic while moving through community as quickly as possible. Tree work will require about 2+ weeks to complete weather permitting. Please ensure no automobiles are parked in streets or driveways close to street. The Board asks for homeowners’ patience and cooperation during the process. What can homeowners do to help? · Correct mulching of trees promotes healthy growth and avoids potential root decay. Incorrect mulching will cause trees to suffer, decline and die. Please ensure your yard maintenance contractors are aware & comply with proper mulching method. · Spraying chemicals around tree to control weeds is harmful to trees. Please ensure your yard maintenance contractors are aware & complying to NO use of weed killer around trees. Thank you, Woodlands Board of Directors

“Granny’s Lazy Day Shrimp Chowder” is one of my favorite soup recipes. It’s delicious and most importantly EASY to make. Sip & Swirl: Painting Class Thursdays | 7-9pm | $70 plus tax (wine included) Join us in the Chateau Elan Winery and create your own painting masterpiece while sipping on wine (to get your creative juices flowing). Each painter will be supplied with a 16” x 20” canvas, an easel, paint brushes and acrylic paints. Chateau Elan wine will be provided to enjoy while painting. Throughout the course, you will receive step-by-step instruction from a skilled artist while sipping on wine and enjoying good company. Cheese and charcuterie can be purchased upon arrival. What To Know: heck-in at Bordeaux Room on the second floor of the Winery, 15 minutes before the class. Each artist will be supplied with materials and Chateau Elan wine. Culinary Class January 7-9th | 7:00 pm - 10 pm | $135 per person (plus taxes). Price is for cooking class only. If you have an appetite for learning, a class at Chateau’s Culinary Studio will satisfy your cravings. Our classes are designed for home cooks of all-levels and feature seasonal menus, rotating weekly. Our hands-on classes are led by culinary experts who will teach you the building blocks of cooking as you master three distinct family-style courses. After class, students will sit down together and enjoy their work at our communal table. Each class includes professional cooking instruction of a three-course meal, a chef ’s hat, a full serving of each dish, wine pairings chosen by our Sommelier and recipe booklet. Lil’ Pastry Chef Class Bi-Weekly on Sundays from 2-3:30pm $50 – includes admission for (1) adult and (1) child, as well as drinks & supplies Join us for a special hands-on class, for ages 6-12, that will teach the basics of baking and piping techniques.
