FALL COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER

FALL 2024

PUMKIN SPICE SEASON IS OFFICIALLY HERE! THE HOLIDAYS ARE FAST APPROACHING.

We hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather. Autumn is definitely a cozy season for many because of snuggling up in front of the fire with a warm cup of hot chocolate. It is time to put away the swimsuit for sweaters and scarves. As remnants of Summer fade and the Autumn leaves display their beautiful colors before falling to earth. It is now time to consider preparing your home for the Winter months.

2024-2025 SCHOOL IS NOW IN SESSION

School is now in full swing once again, we see the school buses coming and going within our community. Please be careful and watch for children when driving in the community and pay attention to all the rules concerning school buses in the area. Our children are precious and deserve a safe community.

We love our community!

If you have any creative ideas for our community, we would love to hear from you!

Safety in our Community

As we would all like to keep Mundy Mill safe. There are a few things that you can do as a part of the community.

Street Light Outages

If you see a street light out, it is a simple fix. Jackson EMC has a hotline to report street light outages. Simply get the number off of the pole that is out and call (770) 536-2415. They will take the information and then dispatch someone to come and fix the light.

Known thefts or suspicious activity

Call the Police! We do have police patrolling the community. However, the patrols will increase if there are reports of known thefts or suspicious activity.

A Message from the Manager...

I am so excited for the cooler weather. Having the windows open to let fresh air come into my home! Sleeping more soundly and enjoying the night time sounds of crickets and other nocturnal creatures.

Fall has to be one of my favorite times of the year! Sweater weather returning, football, festivals, pumpkins and the decorations!

I do have to say, the one thing I don’t like about fall is cleaning up the leaves. Yikes! I have already begun to clean up the leaves at my home and I don’t have any trees on my property. The leaves and pine needles all come from my neighbor who has their back fence lined with pine trees and maple trees. There are already so many leaves falling, I have to rake and clean up at least once a week. But, it gets me outside and I enjoy being outside.

We’ve got several events planned for the next couple of months and a few surprises at our annual Trunk-or-Treat. Emails have gone out so mark your calendars!

I would like to give a SHOUT OUT to everyone here at Mundy Mill. You all have been extremely cooperative with staining and repairing fences in the community and it is greatly appreciated.

Contrary to what is being said on the Facebook Page, The Association has also been busy having the perimeter fencing repaired and stained and will continue this project until it is completed. Everything is running on schedule.

I hope that everyone is getting excited about all of the holidays that will be coming up in the near future!

FACEBOOK PAGE

The new Facebook Page is now available as “Mundy Mill Residents”. This page is fully monitored by current residents and is not a Facebook Page from the Association. You can access Mundy Mill Residents by going to: www.facebook.com/groups/mundymillresidents

Residents are encouraged to join in this private group, where you all can list items for sale, support each other with vendor advice and, keep the neighborhood updated on the day to day goings on from everything to lost keys at the mailboxes to missing pets.

The Association does ask that if you have any questions about the community, to please contact the manager, Ruth Banford, at ruth.banford@fsresidential.com or my assistant, Carolyn, at Carolyn.o’camb@fsresidential.com

Fall also brings a very special anniversary for me that only few people know about….

Directions for oven

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375° and grease a medium baking dish with cooking spray. In a small bowl, whisk together butter, sugars, and cinnamon.

Step 2

Slice top off of each apple then use a corer to remove core. Then if necessary, use a small spoon to remove any pieces of core left. Using a paring knife, make two circular cuts in apple. Place apple cut side down on a cutting board and slice crosswise, being careful not to cut through the core.
