NEWS FROM THE COURSE
COUPLE’S GOLF
This group has three consecutive tee times every Sunday morning. In Spring, Summer and Fall, they begin play at 9:30AM More tee times can be added depending on how many couples wish to play. Please contact Lynn Kolb at 706-824-0247 or galynn20@yahoo.com for more information. Every Tuesday, Lynn sends a text to interested parties asking for a response by Saturday morning. All are welcome to join in and they look forward to adding more couples as the weather warms up. *Couples on Sunday – Noon during winter.
LADIES’ GOLF GROUP
Currently, the ladies have two standing tee times Monday thru Friday starting at 8:30 AM. If you are interested in joining the Ladies Golf Group (even occasionally), please email Pam Poppe at ppoppe@ mindspring.com if you wish to be included. Each Friday, Pam sends an email to the group asking which days you are interested in golfing during the coming week. She only asks for a 48-hour notice so she can add or cancel tee times. Don’t worry about handicaps since the skill levels vary widely. These women golf for fun! If the morning times don’t work for you, please let Pam know if you are interested in playing 9 holes at other times of the day.
SENIOR MEN’S GOLF GROUP
The senior men gather to play an organized format of stroke play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You never know who you will get paired with on these days, so it’s a great opportunity to meet your fellow neighbors and make new friends. On Thursdays, it’s just pair-up and play as you like. The course is closed on Tuesdays. Currently, our block of tee times starts at 10:00 AM. As the weather warms up, our standing tee tie will move to 9:00 AM. You can play as often or as little as you like; just show up at least 15 minutes before the first tee time. This is a social group with members of varying skill levels. Every spring and fall the men gather at the Club Grill for a fun evening with their significant others. For more information, contact Steve Morrell at 1-706-6546034 (H) or on his cell at 770-861-610. You can also email him at shmorrell44@gmail.com
MEN’S GROUP (MGA)
Come out and meet your neighbors in a fun and welcoming group. The TOB men have weekly organized games on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM and Saturdays/Sundays starting at 8:00 AM. We also sponsor diverse and fun monthly tournaments throughout the year. The MGA has neighbors of all skill levels and ages. HOW TO RECOVER AFTER A MATCH After a match or training hard in this summer heat your body needs to recover properly. Whether you're playing or practicing in the heat the body will begin to lose water and salts, you also accumulate acidic substances and empty any sugar reserves. Therefore, you need liquids, mineral salts, vitamins, sugars, protein and fat. The recovery checklist to help you recover should be; hydrate, eat healthy recovery foods, rest and relax, stretch it out, get a massage or take an ice bath. The most important thing you can do is listen to your body. These are all ways you can recover and keep playing in this summer heat. See you on the courts, Ginger Reeves, Tennis Committee Chair

Summer is finally here with temps in the 90’s, humidity and lots of sunshine but are you stuck in the same ole workout routine? Maybe you’ve been wanting to start an exercise program but don’t know where to start. Go to the pool! I invite you to join us for a great workout in the water! We meet Monday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM and are getting fit and having lots of fun! No special equipment needed and with the many benefits of aqua fitness, why not?! • it’s a low-impact workout with NO strain on the weight-bearing joints or the back • water provides the resistance to maintain or increase bone density and build strong bones • the resistance of the water ensures you won’t work beyond your capacity • ability to build a strong core by maintaining abdominal stability during all movements in the water • hydrostatic pressure improves blood circulation and helps decrease water retention • experiencing no next-day muscle pain often associated with working out • perspire but don’t feel sweaty • you’re “hidden” by the water so those lacking self-confidence can go for it • no getting the hair wet and you don’t have to know how to swim • it’s just fun! Exercising in the water is especially beneficial if you have arthritis, decreased range of motion in your joints, or any other physical limitations that affect your mobility. In water, we can strengthen our muscles without experiencing muscle soreness the day or two after. We can move so much freer in water experiencing a fuller range of motion. Of course, check with your doc first before starting any exercise program but my guess is, he/ she will give you a big thumbs up! Please feel free to join the CLOSED group on Facebook – TOB Aquafit Class to stay up to date on the class. Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/408958593166426/?source_id=155962614850712. Oh yeah, don’t forget sunscreen and water! See you at the pool! In the past decade the amount of aesthetic procedures in the United States has increased tremendously. The use of aesthetic products mainly addresses the prevention of the aging process. For this reason, Atlanta Vitality wants to offer the most advanced products and procedures in facial aesthetics. Botox and fillers are steadfastly growing because you are now able to increase self-image and self-confidence as a priority. Atlanta Vitality Center offers Allergan (Botox/Juvederm) and Galderma (Dysport/ Restylane) products. Whether you want to soften the lines on the forehead, around the eyes, or rejuvenate the plumpness of your cheeks, product choice is imperative. Our skilled nurse practitioner will help design a custom product list for you. Your happiness is our pleasure. Botox and Dysport are injectable products designed similarly to relax the active muscles around the face and soften the lines (or wrinkles) caused by muscle contraction. Both products are derived from the botulinum A. The use of either product contributes to cosmetically removing dynamic wrinkles especially in the forehead, #11 lines, crow’s feet, and raising the eyebrow. Botox and Dysport are also excellent for smoothing frown lines. Each product typically lasts 3-6 months. The results are varying based upon the patient. Juvederm and Restylane are dermal fillers that assist with plumping up the tissue and even further to soften or remove lines. Each product contains hyaluronic acid that acts to balance skin elasticity, providing a smooth appearance which age has deleted. Hyalauronic acid also stimulates collagen in the tissue that decreases as we age. The stimulation of collagen assists in reducing the appearance of saggy lines. Both injectables go into the dermal layer of the skin to increase volume and ultimately add plumpness to the skin or lips. The products last 6-18 months and results may be varying. The aesthetic products utilized at Atlanta Vitality Center are safe and effective for temporary treatment of facial wrinkles. Atlanta Vitality Center will work with you on your facial aesthetic goals whether you would like to soften lines or give volume to your lips. Our facial mapping and consultation are available to you at NO CHARGE! Atlanta Vitality Center www.atlantavitalitycenter.com (706) 684-0777

SATISFIED SOUL First off, what is a soul? The soul is what makes a person uniquely who they are. The body is simply the outer shell of the soul. It comprises how we think, what we like/dislike, what we hate/love, our opinions, desires, and views; all the inner makings of what makes us who we are and what we do. How satisfied is your soul? Is your soul constantly in search for that “thing” to make you utterly complete? Unknowingly, many think that money, fame, popularity, and loved ones are the very things we need to fill the gaps and emptiness of one’s heart and soul. What we tend to forget is that God created mankind for a purpose. As life leads us in many different directions, we vacillate between our self-perceived purpose and our God-given one. Psalm 57:2 indicates, “I cry out to the Most High God who fulfills his purpose for me” (English Standard Version). Believers who live in obedience to God’s word will be led into their divine purpose. Do not mistake your God-given purpose with things you have accomplished in life alone. Do your accomplishments glorify God? One’s divine purpose only becomes palpable when he or she relinquishes control over their lives and trusts in the sovereignty of God. Satisfaction or joy found only in possessions and objects is temporary. A bigger house, job promotions, nicer car, and fancy schools are all leaves on a happy tree. The root of a satisfied soul is found in God’s given purpose for you. Without God, you will always feel the need to do or try something else. Emptiness is the only clothing one can wear when the soul is in constant dissatisfaction. God has called you to something greater than trivial pursuits and life’s pleasures. Pleasures of life represent joy for many people. Joy is a fruit of the spirit that is given to all believers by God. Soul-fulfilling joy does not come from what you do or have. A satisfied soul is the end result of those who live according to the Holy Scriptures in love with God; thus enabling one to walk in divine purpose. We should understand that the soul becomes satisfied, our life fulfilled, and our hearts flowing with true joy when we meet God and His requirements for life and living. Romans 8:28-30, reveals God’s purpose for His people, which is to conform to the image of Jesus. “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21). We must offer God true worship and propagate the gospel of Christ by lifestyle. After we accept God’s plan and purpose for mankind, our soul will be satisfied, and joy fulfilled. Finally, Lloyd and Portia cordially invite you to Bible Study on Wednesday nights at 7pm!

ACTION! We are delighted to announce the debut of our brand-new Lifestyle Video, designed to attract new generations of families to Traditions of Braselton. Providing terrific panoramic birds eye views of the community, “action” shots of neighbors enjoying the amenities, an overview of the Town of Braselton and testimonials from residents, it will appear on the NEW Traditions of Braselton website at DiscoverTraditionsBraselton.com, in addition to being promoted digitally and on social media. We wish to extend our gratitude to all Traditions of Braselton neighbors who made an appearance in the video and shared their heartfelt adoration for this one-of-a-kind community. To see the video, visit YouTube and type “Traditions of Braselton – Have It All” into the search bar. Please feel free to share it on your own social media pages, along with your own thoughts and favorite aspects about this wonderful place in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. Now that you’ve experienced a community where your neighbors can become your friends, just imagine how great it would be to make some of your friends your neighbors! While we’re on the subject of testimonials and making some of your friends your neighbors, we invite you to take part in our new Homeowner Referral Program. For referring a friend or family member to purchase a new home in Traditions of Braselton, you could BOTH wind up with a Big Green Egg – arguably the BEST ceramic kamado-style charcoal grill & smoker on the market! For more information about this opportunity to make your neighbors “green” with envy while enhancing your outdoor living space, please refer to our ad on the back page of this newsletter. This offer is only good through the end of September 2019 and relates solely to new purchase agreements accepted by Traditions of Braselton Realty. Well, folks… between our new website, new signage, new marketing efforts, new video, new Ambassador Program, gorgeous new homes and special events like May’s Summer Social, interest from prospective homebuyers is on a dramatic increase. We are seeing a rising influx of visitors on a daily basis – resulting in increased sales. Traditions of Braselton is growing in exciting new directions, and – whether you simply make a habit of being neighborly by waving at cars as they pass by or play a more active role by referring prospective homebuyers, serving as an Ambassador or appearing in our video – we thank you! Your genuine love of this community is the best testimonial imaginable for how special it is to live in Traditions of Braselton.
