FROM THE MANAGER

COMMUNITY VIOLATION SNAPSHOT MAY 1, 2019 TO JULY 8, 2019 From May 1, 2019 to July 8, 2019 there were a total of 102 violations sited. The below diagrams show percentages by category and then by stages. We always like to see the closed stage higher than the other because that means that owners have taken the corrective actions necessary for their given issue. Please remember that it is not our desire to see a large amount of violations cited. Help us to accomplish this by remembering the following: If you have special circumstances, please let us know so that we note your file as well as see if there is anything that we can do to help. We cannot know when each of you is on vacation; if you are going out of town and need someone to put your garbage can away while you are gone just send us an e-mail and we will do so (also we will know not to send a letter). Lastly, here is the quick covenant checklist for your reference. Quick Checklist: √ Trashcans must be stored out of view from the street or neighboring properties; √ Please submit a modification request for any changes to exterior of your home; √ Please keep your property in a clean, well-kept manner (yard tools, debris etc. should be removed promptly). This is including the rear of your home when your yard is visible from the golf course, any street or neighboring property; √ Please ensure that your lawn has been properly treated for weeds and fertilized; lawn maintenance should occur on a regular basis and your lawn and landscape beds should be free of weeds and grass and ample pine straw or mulch should be installed at least twice per year; √ Automobiles, trucks and vans must be parked in garages or driveways and may not be parked elsewhere on the property. Unlicensed or inoperable vehicles are considered a nuisance and will be removed. No motorized vehicles are permitted on pathways or unpaved common areas. For example, golf carts should not be operated on sidewalks;

√ Recreational vehicles including but not limited to motor homes, boats, jet skis, trailers, motorcycles, minibikes, scooters, go carts, golf carts, campers, buses, commercial trucks and vans must be parked in garages or be subject to removal from the property. Recreational vehicles may be operated on the streets within the neighborhood by a licensed driver in accordance with Georgia law; √ The exterior of your home (to include the roof) should not have any rotting wood, missing shutters, peeling paint, mold or any other unsightly condition; √ Yard signs are not permitted. If you have a contractor working on your home, please make sure they do not place a sign in your yard; √ All pets should be leashed or otherwise controlled by the owner when outside a Unit and shall not be allowed to become a nuisance by barking or other acts. Owners must clean up after their pets. √ Mailboxes should be properly maintained. You should have brass numbers on both sides of your mailbox, paint should not be faded or peeling, and post should be strait.

The above list does not constitute a compressive list of covenants but depicts the most common issues that are addressed in the subdivision. Please refer to the Declaration of Covenants for the Traditions of Braselton which can be downloaded from the document center at www.traditionsofbraselton.org. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR HELPING TO KEEP TRADITIONS BEAUTIFUL!

FROM THE MANAGER

A GREAT BIG

Welcome Home

TO THE GALES FAMILY!

On July 11, 2019 the Gales family was reunited in their custom-built home right here in the Traditions of Braselton. A small group gathered to welcome them to their new home which was beautifully furnished and decorated. Devon now has his own room, therapy/work out room and can easily travel around the house from room to room. His father, Donny was particularly happy with his new outdoor grill and refrigerator that he was anxious to get stocked with some cold beer. Devon’s mom was just overjoyed and simply gracious and thankful for this tremendous blessing for their family. Siblings Dalen and Teah were ecstatic about their new living spaces as well. I was so very thankful to have even been just a small part of this momentous occasion. This is such a beautiful, loving and faithful family that you just can’t help feeling good from just being around them. Please help me in me in welcoming the Gales to Traditions on August 10th at 11:30 where a block party style housewarming party will be held at their home located at 7171 Sanctuary Drive. We are calling for a huge turn out from our residents for this occasion! Traditions of Braselton

COMMUNITY NEWS

Jefferson, GA -- The moment that has been years in the making… made possible with love, generosity and heart of an entire community to build Devon Gales a home as promised, is finally here! The house by Currahee Home Builders and constructed by many local contractors is now a HOME! The Build for Devon leadership team is planning a block-party-style celebration to share the home with donors and the community on Saturday, August 10th from 11:30 - 1:30 p.m. The afternoon will include a live band, an outdoor big screen, food and drink vendors, Bulldog alumni and t-shirt sales. Back in August during the Ground-breaking Ceremony for their home, Devon was already looking ahead to his future at 7171 Sanctuary Drive in Jefferson! "All the stuff I'm going to have in the house, I'm getting anxious and excited. It's something words can't explain." We are so proud to be able to equip him with all he needs in his recovery. More about Devon's accident can be found here: http://buildfordevon.com/meet-devon/ Here are some notable milestones leading to the completion of the Gales home: • September 2017 - New leadership group, assembled by Jim Butterworth, took over the Build for Devon efforts • April 2018 - Mike Elrod of Currahee Home Builders volunteered to build the Gales' home • May 2018 - $51,000 raised from WSB Radio spots and the G-Day Game • June 2018 - Whit Marshall of Paran Homes donated lot in the Traditions of Braselton development • August 2018 - Ground-breaking attended by approximately 100 contractors, friends & neighbors. • September 2018 - Local nonprofit Sunshine on a Ranney Day signed on to help with the home's design • November 2018 - Family and friends gathered at the homesite for a Home Blessing and Thanksgiving meal • February 2019 - Party Gras for Devon Fundraiser at 550 Trackside in Lawrenceville raised nearly $20,000 towards the Devon Gales House Construction Fund • July 2019 – Gales family moved in to Traditions of Braselton! EMPTY NESTERS COMMITTEE

WE’RE COOL IN THE POOL

Empty Nesters are in the swim. Thirty something of our group gathered at the home of Beth and Bill Grimes on June 29th to chill out, chit chat and consume large quantities of great food. Besides all the yummy food contributed by the attendees, Bill Grimes was over the top, providing pulled pork butt, pulled chicken with barbeque sauce to pour over and home smoked salmon that was sumptuous for our dining pleasure. In addition, our hostess had two delicious cocktails prepared for our tasting pleasure. The beautifully landscaped backyard and pool were the perfect setting for our get-together with a covered deck and additional canopies set up in the grass for shade, lots of comfortable seating and a light breeze to keep us all cool. Couples drifted in and out during the course of the evening and everyone seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed their respite in the Grimes backyard oasis. Our thanks to Beth and Bill for their hospitality and the use of their pool. Our next event will be an August 10th Pool Party at the home of Lynn Kolb, 61 Harmony Grove Lane from 6pm to 10pm. Please join us then for another wet, wild and wonderful Empty Nesters event. Cheryl Morrell, Empty Nesters Committee, Chair

Currently, the ladies have two standing tee times Monday thru Friday starting at 8:30 AM. If you are interested in joining the Ladies Golf Group (even occasionally), please email Pam Poppe at ppoppe@ mindspring.com if you wish to be included. Each Friday, Pam sends an email to the group asking which days you are interested in golfing during the coming week. She only asks for a 48-hour notice so she can add or cancel tee times. Don’t worry about handicaps since the skill levels vary widely. These women golf for fun! If the morning times don’t work for you, please let Pam know if you are interested in playing 9 holes at other times of the day.

SENIOR MEN’S GOLF GROUP

The senior men gather to play an organized format of stroke play on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The course is closed on Tuesdays. Currently, our block of tee times starts at 10:00 AM. As the weather warms up, our standing tee tie will move to 9:00 AM. You can play as often or as little as you like; just show up at least 15 minutes before the first tee time. This is a social group with members of varying skill levels. Every spring and fall the men gather at the Club Grill for a fun evening with their significant others. For more information, contact Steve Morrell at 1-706-6546034 (H) or on his cell at 770-861-610. THE UNMASKED LIFE

“I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him” (Psalm 40:1-3). When your outer shell is admired by all who encounter you because you’ve mastered the mask, but inwardly you are full of pain and anxiety, it is time to run to your Creator for a complete healing. Many people try many things in desperate search to feel whole, happy, and complete. However, when life becomes overwhelming, do not surrender to the dependency of alcohol, nicotine, drugs, or other substances to cope or function. Selfmedicating will lead to more despair and agony of mind. As a fallen creation, mankind is always looking for better ways to endure a stressful day, cope with disappointing news, deal with the death of a loved one, or work through the loss of friendships. A longing soul yearns to seek easement from external things. ”How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart?” (Psalm 13:1-2)

AUGUST 2019

One’s old sinful lifestyle must be exchanged with the new life in Christ that is free from sin and its lustful desires. Transformation happens when the heart has been completely given to Christ. The power of the Holy Spirit will replace the old habits with new ones. New believers or babes in Christ should seek out Christians who can hold them accountable and help set positive goals for their life. Take the initiative and seek the counsel of a gospel-teaching pastor to build new relationships in Christ Jesus. Do not be ashamed to reveal that you need help. The Bible says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36, NKJV). Look toward wonderful changes in your life. “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works” (Titus 2:11-14). You are invited to Bible study on Wednesday’s nights at 7pm. Email Portia or Lloyd Ocampo if you want us to pray with you! Tia459@yahoo.com Traditions of Braselton

ONCE-WEEKLY STRENGTH TRAINING FOR OLDER ADULTS I’ve got great news for healthy older adults who may not be able to weighttrain more than once a week! In a study of women and men, 65 - 75 years-old, that participated in a supervised wholebody resistance training once a week for 6 months, participants had significantly less inflammation, lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and better overall well-being. For the individuals who trained 3 times per week received the same benefits AND had significantly less body fat and more muscle mass. Participants saw increase in HDL (good) cholesterol whether they trained once, twice or three times weekly, but significant reductions in LDL (bad) cholesterol occurred only in those who trained 3 times per week. In the study, researchers randomly divided 105 older adults into 4 groups; resistance

training once, twice or three times weekly, and a control group. Training sessions consisted of 2-5 sets of 7-9 total body exercises, with 4-12 reps per set, for 6 months. Researchers found that individuals who were close to having high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood glucose, or high levels of inflammation improved the most. Training 2-3 times per week didn’t provide greater benefit in these individuals. However, for maximum strength gains, muscle growth and fat loss, training more times per week was better. But, for other measures that are important for older people, such as the ability to perform activities of daily living, once per week seemed sufficient. Muscle strength that is needed for carrying shopping bags, walking up/downstairs and sitting down can be improved with once-weekly strength training © 2019 IDEA Health &

Fitness Inc./July-August Fitness Journal Bottom line, whether it’s once, twice or more times per week, pick up those weights and strength train no matter your age. It never, ever too late to start! As the years go by, it’s a losing game. We start losing muscle (called Sarcopenia), balance, mobility, hearing, sight etc.!! My hope is you will be encouraged to be strong, living a long, healthy and fit life in mind, body and Spirit! WHAT CAN STEM CELL THERAPY DO FOR YOU?

Let’s take a look at a stem cell injection journey at Atlanta Vitality Center! Let’s introduce Mr. Don who is a 50 something, active male who was excited to learn what stem cells could do for his right shoulder injury. Mr. Don came to Atlanta Vitality Center for a stem cell consultation regarding injections for his painful right shoulder. He presented with complaints of constant right shoulder pain, loss of range of motion in the right shoulder, and severe clicking with range of motion. He further described the quality of life lost especially since he was no longer able to play golf comfortably and therefore, had stopped playing altogether. Traditions of Braselton

After his consult, Don received a full radiological exam and was found to be an excellent candidate for stem cell therapy. The above radiological image (left) confirms the degenerative joint as well as inflammation in the surrounding tissue. The stem cell injection procedure was performed by Jennifer King, Nurse Practitioner. The procedure included a precise focal injection into the right shoulder with 1 ML of stem cells from the Wharton’s Jelly component of the umbilical cord. The patient was provided with range of motion exercises, but no down time from his busy 40 hour work week. A follow up radiological exam was taken eight weeks following Mr. Don’s injection of stem cells. The difference in the pre and post x-ray was remarkable! The following changes were noted (right

image): joint capsule space enlargement with renewed cartilage-no longer was the head of the humerus grinding into the joint, inflammation undetectable. The stem cell injection allowed for a renewal on not just his right shoulder, but his life! He had a return of normal shoulder motion, pain free, and a return to activities (golf-once enjoyed)! His quality of life has improved greatly! What does this mean for you? You can avoid surgery! There is no down time after the injection! You do not have to suffer in pain! You can heal from the inside of your body to outside! Atlanta Vitality Center is offering stem cells to you! Stem cell injections, otherwise known as regenerative medicine, promotes healing and repair of degenerative joints including dysfunctional tissue in shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles, and more. Are you ready to repair, regenerate and rejuvenate your body? It’s time for your FREE consultation! Please call us at (706)684-0777 or visit us online at www.atlantavitalitycenter.com. AUGUST 2019

The Secret is

OUT!

Since its launch, Traditions of Braselton has arguably been one of North Georgia’s best kept secrets. Those who did learn of this sprawling master-planned community were immediately drawn to its scenic beauty, resort-quality amenities, stunning homes built to last, and a solid foundation based upon Southern Hospitality. People just like you! But thanks to a recent renewed focus on the marketing of this very special community and a rebrand centered on the unique lifestyle it affords its residents… it appears that North Georgia’s best kept secret may be out. With the recent premieres of our new Discovery Center, new signage, exciting new promotional video and engaging lifestyle-focused website at DiscoverTraditionsBraselton.com , we’ve witnessed a dramatic increase in foot traffic from families considering a move to our little corner of the world. Add to that the superlative quality of the homes, informative and inviting nature of our Resident Ambassadors Program, and terrific community events that make outsiders want to become insiders once they get here, more and more families are electing to call Traditions of Braselton “home.” As a matter of fact, during the month of June 2019 alone, we had SIX new home sales out of the Discovery Center! In addition to our marketing efforts, we encourage YOU to help spread North Georgia’s best kept secret even further. Share your love of Traditions of Braselton on your social media pages and don’t forget to take part in our new Homeowner Referral Program. For referring a friend or family member to purchase a new home in Traditions of Braselton, you could BOTH wind up with a Big Green Egg – arguably the BEST ceramic kamado-style charcoal grill & smoker on the market! Make your neighbors “green” with envy while enhancing your outdoor living space and bringing your own personal “village” close to home. This offer is only good through the end of September 2019 and relates solely to new purchase agreements accepted by Traditions of Braselton Realty. Gift credit for Green Egg will be provided upon final close of home. Value is $899 before taxes and includes an assembled, delivered large Green Egg. Some restrictions apply.
